Coming out takes indeed, a huge burden off your shoulders. The anxiety of being outed is really terrible. Better you come out on your own damn terms.
Also, you have to realize you will find people who will trat you differently (for the worse) and turn their backs on you. But those people will always exist. A positive side is that you will find out who truly loves and sticks up to you.
And by coming out I don't mean you tell your sexual orientation to everyone or parade yourself in a thong with a body paint of the gay flag. Is your life and you decide to whom you come out.

As far as I know, in Mexico we only have Civil Unions (or partnerships).
Recently they wanted to legalize gay marriage and adoption but of course, being the religion-plagued cesspool Mexico is, groups have started to march on the streets against it.
I don't really care if they change civil union to 'marriage' as long as they offer me the same rights and privileges (of course I'll be willing to assume the obligations too)
Regarding adoption…meh...personally I don't want other people's children I rather use a surrogate to get my own.

I think it was progressive in the idea that this is an animated movie aimed towards adults. There's this cliché about animation being only for kids but there have been really interesting and thoughtful animation movies catered toward mature audiences.
Granted, they all/most had deep messages or had some sort of social criticism.
Sausage Party is an animation aimed towards adults with no other objective than to entertain. And as an adult, I'm grateful for that.
The orgy was just for laughs, after all the innuendo thrown around everywhere in the movie.
