If they got any rights and benefits after struggling for many years, it was because they had white allies! But now they just like to put all white people lumped together and call them evil.

British laws make it so it's best to never, ever hire a woman under 55.     Even women bosses don't like hiring breeding age women.

Feminist have fought and won to extend maternity leave and benefits for women, but have ignored the very real problems those same things are causing women in general.

Problem is that on a company's viewpoint, females in the breeding years end up causing more expenses than income and even if the ones in the positions of power are female themselves they have to answer for the company's profits.  At least here is not unheard of women taking maternity leave and being skipped for promotions (contacts and influence and the usual dark inner workings of work environments aside)

Dunno what would happen in one of your 3rd wave feminist countries (though I'm pretty sure it would involve suing, accusing of sexism and whatnot).  Also makes me wonder how those 'women-only' or 'female-mayority' companies work.

It's obvious Bill is a tool for Hillary's never ending search for power.

Here in Mexico, we never knew of the other sexual scandals of Clinton, we only knew the Lewinsly affair. But still, after that, we thought Hillary would divorce Bill, specially when she started going by Hillary Rodham.

But then she went by Hillary Rodham-Clinton and now she's just Hillary Clinton again.  I feel she just wants Bill's family money and connections to suit her own interests.

Are the Rodhams an affluent family in the USA, both politically and financially?

Regarding the selling of New Mexico and all the other parts…while it is a matter that still stings Mexico's national pride, when looked through the lenses of history and logic one could see there was no other way.  On those times, population concentrated in the center to south of the country.  The Northerns states were practically barren and the Central goverment barely paid them attention, if at all.  So, the territories weren't tied to the rest of the country by strong bonds.  Same happened to Texas.  The Mexican goverment practically allowed Muricans to settle there, surpassing the Mexican-born population.  So what bonds?

I guess it is a constant juggling, depending on the historical context and current situation of a country.

Here in Mexico, at least, we still remember the 'paternalist state', where the goverment helped out in almost everything.  We got both good and bad things about that. Amongst the good things, we got free (or really cheap) education from Elementary up to College and social security (which fluctuates from bad to decent to good)

Amongst the bad things we got lazy entrepenours who couldn't save their own lives when we got into the NAFTA, tons of bad syndicates and a culture of corruption and no responsibility.

A laissez faire type of State isn't good, but a big-machine-type state like the Socialist model isn't good either.

Whenever there is a coup, the party performing it will deny it is a coup.

But technically it's always a coup, independently of the intentions of the ones performing it.

So the question is: Is this a coup for better or for worse?

Still, considering what's going on, it is a snowball of accusations: one part goes: 'He offended me because I'm xx', then the accused part goes: 'They're after me because I'm a yy' and it goes on and on.

I've seen Alien: Covenant and IT.

Alien: Covenant, I agree with the review, it has gore, it has amazing photography. It has a gay couple (and one is played by mexican actor Demián Bichir - but they seem more like a token minority)

If you just want a thrill with space monster that rip their way out of their host, you'll enjoy Covenant.  If you're searching for continuity on the Alien mythos you gonna be very disappointed though.

IT: I was reading the actual novel before I watched the movie.  If you had done so, you'll find the story in the film deviates a little.  Of course, this is understandable since is hard to put a lenghty story as this into film.  If you don't mind exact accuracy you can enjoy it, and also there are some winks at the readers and fans of the novel.

From the list, I'm intrigued about Hounds of Love and House on Willow Street, so I'll try to find them.

So basically, a Christian teacher congratulated a group of students for their hard work with a generic 'good work girls', but amonst them a trans student felt aggravated (even if the teacher promptly apologized) and the issue was reported by the parents 6 weeks later.

The teacher is under investigation now but it seems to be devolving into a witch hunt, now he alledges is because he's a Christian and have given examples of how he was put down by the school several times, including his Bible group cancelled when he defined marriage as something betwen a man and a woman.

Honestly, the fact that he's a Christian and his views on what marriage is doesn't offend me in the slightest (of course, a Christian would define marriage as solely between man and woman)  But as I wrote above, this whole thing has turned into a snowball of accusations and finger pointing, just because a little special trans snowflake.  The dude apologized and the issue was brought up to the headmaster SIX WEEKS LATER!

For real?!  We don't seem to have that problem in Mexico (granted, we are supposed to be a big melting pot with different tones of skin, but basically we are mostly mestizo -though some diehard xenophobes can't even phatom it)

I know those scholarships exist, we have some for women but they are mostly for kids from native communities, without regard to gender.

That is stupid.  The most you can make from the fact that certain racial groups perform badly in a test is that maybe there are sociological factors that impact their performance, then, maybe, you can use a sociological approach to tackle them and help the kids overcome their shortcomings.

I fail to understand this. Aren't career politicians those who study politics and hence have the qualifications? Asking because in my country most of the new 'politicians' know zip about politics or economics, they're mostly celebrities or sons/daughters of politicians (but didn't study politics themselves)

I remember I was watching some YT videos about Ancient Egypt and some (seemingly) black SJW started complaining about the video showing chained black people (Nubians).

Others went to the point of saying Egypt was a black civilization and complained about white people appropiating it, (from the Greeks and Romans to how Hollywood used white actors for Gods of Egypt) luckily, people from Egypt itself corrected them telling them Egyptian civilization wasn't Black.

And you're right, this just seems coming only from black people (American Black people).  As a Mexican myself I don't feel insulted if the 'crackers' (this feels weird, since I have European blood I'm white, to the point of even being asked if I'm Mexican…by other Mexicans...) use sombreros and think 5 de Mayo is celebrated in Mexico in the same way it is in USA.  I do feel mad that they get stuff wrong when our countries are adjacent but is all in good spirit, I don't expect every American talking about Mexico to be flawlessly correct.

Amongst the non white-immigrant-descendants that make up USA the black people are the ones on the best position, other groups are looked down upon even by the blacks themselves.  They just hope to rally them up under umbrella terms like POC (which I despise).  The event you mention sums it all up quite nicely, they try to get support from other racial groups at the same time they look down on them.

From here in Mexico I can tell you the native looking people look down on blacks (remember that during the Colonial period in Mexico, indians weren't slaves and were in a better social position than blacks) so obviously it had to be the other way around up there.

Really depends, I guess on what day of the day it is and what's on the pantry.

On weekdays I'm used to have 2 cups of black coffee for breakfast only and try to get some healthy brunch ('trying' is the magic word here) guess I'm used to be on a rush since childhood (my mother was scared as hell of morning traffic so we arrived at school before it was even open)

Since weekends are more relaxed I can make something more complex from eggs to cold cereal.  But sometimes I forget to eat anything until noon, sustaining myself on that black liquid from the gods.
