@Shami94:
So when you said 26 days ago "Looks like North Korea is going to get zapped", what exactly did you mean by "about to be" in terms of time scale?
The nuclear state the USA continues to threaten North Korea and now Iran again, and when they build the same weapons that the USA has in order to defend themselves, the war monger, fake enemy industry that is the USA uses that as an excuse to threaten them further.
However, this time China, Russia, Europe, India and increasingly the Japanese people and South Koreans are seeing the USA for what it really is: the primary cause of violence and terrorism in the world. Intelligent and sophisticated Obama was able to fool the world. Everyone sees through the mentally unstable childish micro-penis Trumpanzee.
I love a good discussion but name calling should be out of the question from "Tumpanzee" to "Kim Dung" whatever. Let's be respectful to one another.
To Frederock, the Self Defence Force (technically not military) in Japan has had zero training in war since the close of WWII. Zero. The men and women who enlist in the SDF either can't get into university, are using it as a stepping stone to get out from rural areas, or to get technical training for a career later on. There has been no history of professional military since WWII.
In fact, when Abe announced that they were sending troops to South Sudan there was an immediate lawsuit put into effect by the families of active servicemen: They did not join the SDF with the intention of getting involved in a war or fighting.
That should give you both an idea of just how deeply the idea of peace runs through this country.
If Japan were to go to war and they sent their SDF they, having no hard-won battle training, would likely be slaughtered.
As to the US being a war monger, you're talking about a catch 22. From Vietnam to Bosnia, when there's been conflict in the world countries call to the US to help. When the US does, we're war mongers; when we don't, we're shucking our responsibilities. Remember the Congo? What about Rwanda? Iran wanted us to intervene in the Arab Spring and so did Syria.
North Korea is a unique situation in the world.
I constantly urge people to examine the motives of the media and governments in how they're presenting the news because there is an agenda.
Here's a fact. NK, were it ever to attack, it would be annihilated and the government that wants to remain in power would be toppled. They don't want war they want the threat of war to lift sanctions and/or get goods and services they desperately need before winter hits.
Trump is the wild card here. He's not a politician. He's unpredictable. NK might be viewing him as spewing out the same bluster they do – no one knows what they think, so pay attention to how the media and government want you to believe they think.
This mornings news shows (in Japan) talked at length about the NK problem but no one suggested that war was likely, just a possibility.
