Yes, if they have been posted with the full DVD structure you can burn them with DVD burning software.

For larger DVDs you could try a shrinking program such as DVD Shrink (old but still works - if you go to their site DON'T click on the 'Optimize Performance' button.

Other software is around to shrink to fit. Or you could use dual-layer DVDs (more expensive and check your player can play them. Or you could rip the DVD on your hard disk as people do to post a smaller version, say as an .mp4.

With your stats, I don't think you need worry about adding upload now.

I would keep some for saying thank you. Unless you have requested a post, 10-20 points for a good torrent is acceptable (IMO). Maybe more if it is something special. Although many seeders (me) are quite happy if downloaders just say thanks.

Freeleech is good if you are going to download the torrent. Not only does it not reduce your ratio but it helps other people, especially those who need to increase their ratio. I like finding a good movie, making it freeleech and you will see people flock to it. So you should get some upload and will have spread a little happiness.

I tend not to give seed bonus for older ones I make freeleech because I don't know whether the original uploader is still around to get them. And I don't know what happens to the points if the uploader has disappeared. I did ask once but can't remember what (if any) the answer was.

And don't forget all the little things to keep your points topped up: adding pictures, posting in the forum, keeping your connection open.

Even uploading manually via https://www.gaytorrent.ru/doupload.php is easy.

Once you have made your torrent file in, say, uTorrent then uploading is simply a matter of following the instructions, adding a picture from your hard disk and the location on your hard disk of the torrent file.

Press upload, download the torrent you've just posted, open in normal way but point your torrent client to the file you made the torrent from.

Wait for seeding to start. At what point did yours fail?

Since gt.ru went back to being 'invite only' people who are not members need an invite from a member to join the site.

Some members (people who have been here a while or uploaded a lot for example) are given a certain amount of invites which they can send to friends or people they trust

Buying invites with points is quite expensive.

I'd suggest you build up your points and buy some upload for the moment

You are absolutely right, you haven't haven't really broken any written rules but you risk getting reported for spam.

But on a practical note, the catch-up for recent forum posts is limited to 10 pages. If you post 100 posts  in this forum and then someone else posts 100 in Jokes, say, that soon uses the 10 page limit. So when someone comes to check recent posts they hit the 10 page mark before they hit the point where their new posts review starts
OK, there are other ways of trying to catch up but they are not as simple.

And there is NEVER a reason for anyone to post 90-100 forum posts in a short space of time. It's called being considerate.

I agree with just about all you say - I have many times used the silk purse/sow's ear argument. Unless the studios are remastering an original, just putting an old movie on a disk does nothing.

However, in a slight defence of posters, the program I use for converting anything to anything defaults at a bitrate of 4000 Kbp/s and I have to remember to use a sensible rate if I am converting a tape rip.

But you are absolutely right that is is nice to know whta has been done
