Most definitely not. It is duplicate FILES that are unwanted not duplicate movies. In that case the mp4 is of great use to people who are on limited bandwidth. I think rips of DVDs are always welcome
Sometimes a movie will be posted in a different format because it is a different quality.
But I wish uploaders would do a proper search before preparing an upload. It is a shame to see their work go to waste because they posted a duplicate 
I checked passthepopcorn earlier to see how far away from an invite I might be. They are full! They are not accepting any more users at the moment.
And I came across this about Demonoid
It is getting harder for me. I didn't realise demonoid was back to invites but although I am a member it is blocked by my ISP.
Getting a password for passthepopcorn is like winning a Willie Wonka ticket. I am nowhere near getting enough points there to ask how, never mind offer one.
The only other invite site I belong to is ourGTN.

Erm, how much data do I use or how much bandwidth Some of the data I download doesn't get used 
But generally somewhere between 70 and 90GB downloaded but the upload total can vary tremendously. My ISP does have a 'shaping' policy but it is so generous I'd have a job to get it to kick in.
Not sure that is helpful, especially to people on limited bandwidth
