That is certainly very easy to use but it does have a limit to the length of a clip/mp3 that it will convert.

As a Firefox add-on I use THIS. It gives a choice of which format you want to end up with.

I must say I haven't heard of boosting a request. I can only think it might be 'bumping' a request to keep it in people's minds.

I'm not sure if this is the best forum to post this but then I'm not sure where else.

But what happens to bonus points:

1 It's an old torrent and there is no way to tell if the original uploader is still a member. If the uploader has gone and I give some bonus points will they be deleted from me but will they be given to anyone? Maybe be put into a fund for a staff Christmas party?

2 I give some points to a new torrent which is then removed following a DCMA notice. Will the original uploader still keep the points?

3 Likewise if I give some points to a torrent that is removed as a duplicate will the uploader keep the points?

4 A really silly thought. If I upload a torrent and give myself 40,000 seed points would I break the system, my account or the site ?

I'm not quite sure I read the bit about search and clicking correctly. Whether you had VLC already open for that. Have you tried clicking on a file in Search without VLC open just to see what happens? I have no idea if anything will be different but it might be worth a try. Not sure where it takes you after that.

Click/double-click, entirely a matter of personal choice. I choose single click because I am very lazy.

You will have to explore the mTorrent jungle without me I don't understand torrents, except to upload and download them (and getting them deleted), mostly without bother. And I only ever use uTorrent 3.0 these days.

I am using 2.0.2 but you should have something similar on the File menu as Tools/Customize Interface.

This brings up a host of goodies that you can play around with to add to the toolbars at the bottom. You can see your little snapshot button in line 1

If you poke ( ) around a bit more the other things might show up

PS Just reread the first part of your query. Have you checked that your media files are associated with the new VLC. Check the properties (right click/properties of any file) and the first page will tell you what it open with as default.

And halve the time to open a file in Windows by choosing 'single click' - Control Panel/Folder Options/General

Probably not. But if you can see your torrent page, try downloading your own torrent and seeding it yourself.

Also check if the torrent has been downloaded but not started in uTorrent

First, potential upload speed is (nearly?) always a low fraction of potential upload speed - my ISP offers 100 mbs down/6 mbs up.

Second, what are paying for that makes you think you are not getting a good speed.

Third have you tested the maximum speed of your connection using something like http://www.speedtest.net/ (only click on the 'Begin Test' button.

Fourth, remember your speeds are only as good as the speeds at the other end.

But it can be frustrating…

I think you'll find most converters will take time with a big file.

A lot might depend on what you want to convert and to what and where you want to play it.

Since I bought a TV which will play most formats directly from a USB stick without conversion I haven't used my programs.

Ones I still keep handy are TMPGEnc (which has an added bonus if you are converting from a DVD - it asks if you want to copy the file to your hard disk, yes, please and it is now my first call to rip a DVD).

I used to use Main Concept a lot but not now - not quite sure why.

And the ultimate DVD maker ConvertXtoDVD - you can throw almost anything at this and it will burn your movies into an authored DVD.

They are not free but I don't recall paying for my versions

The question was actually about the (Picture) Browser rather than the Search page.

If you hover over the picture there is a Star button which says 'Add/Remove from wish list' - this is the one that doesn't do anything

To me there is a lack of sexual element in tickling or feet videos but some people like them.

I've never seen a BestDeaths video but from the stills I don't think anyone would take them for real.
