Ultimately seed points really only have one use - 'buying' extra upload credit to improve your ratio.
Click on Bonus at the top to see the going rates.
If you have seed points you can give them to uploaders on a torrent page to say thanks. They can then use them to buy credit although you won't know if the uploader needs them.
If you find that your own ratio is looking unhealthy you can use your seed points to boost your upload (minimum 100 points)
From the torrent listings it would seem that making new torrents freeleech ended somewhere around 2000GMT today.
So new torrents until then will be freeleech until around that time on Sunday.
Old torrents may still have the yellow Freeleech line but if they have no 'time left' under that they are not freeleech
… my upload feature is not working.
I was just wondering what the problem was, your end or this end?
I think you'd have to be really "uninitiated" to be dumb enough to mistake a digital clock for something labelled '…left'
Fisto, I'm sorry you've stumped me there. It is a possibility. I did a search for 'Reseed Request' but got four pages of replies and the sun is out here. Priorities.
If no-one answers here then a quick question to the Helpdesk might be useful. I have always found they live up to their name
I suspect it is the way the software works.
To get even the new posts Freeleech ALL the torrents had to be labelled freeleech. Then the actual freeleech was restricted to new posts.
As I explained above if you see a torrent that has no 'time left' under the freeleech label then if you click on it it will say 'time up' and it is not freeleech.
I really can't see what the problem is. If there is no freeleech time, there ain't no freeleech. Or would you rather there was no freeleech on any torrent?
As far as I can see the freeleech is alive and well for new torents.
If there is a time under the FREELEECH!! then it is freeleech
Most 'dead' torrents, that is those that are unseeded, finished seeding ages ago and people who have downloaded them decided to stop seeding.
Recent torrents that don't finish (or start) seeding are usually removed altogether.
So you are really talking of banning uploaders who have shared their stuff and have moved on to other things, like seeding another torrent.
If a torrent has no seeders it is not really 'dead'. You can always request a reseed using the reseed button.
I'm not sure it is a foolproof method but I have found that those still in freeleech have the time left under the listing in Search.
Those where the Freeleech is over just say 'Freeleech'
That is an almost impossible question to answer. One man's good porn is another man's poison!
For instance, I don't like feet but many do. Some people adore Treasure Island Media, whilst others have a desire for Helix. Some collect vintage while others only want the latest HD movies.
So I don't think I can help
I thought to the video might be useful
Heaven help us, there are so few intentional thank yous, let's savour any that come along, no matter how
Those who like the thumbnail view will find something to their advantage in this thread
I can't see that changing your operating system would cause this. It is a feature of your browser to save log-in details for web sites
I think not whilst the change continues. Perhaps you would like to contact the help desk to see if they know about the bug.
I'm not that bothered as I don't like the thumbnail view
I think there may be a hiccup because whether you click on Browse or Search you get to the old style list of torrents.
I wonder if it is connected with the tech problems over the weekend. And whether anyone else has noticed.
jim, don't beat yourself up, I'm sure lots of people have done it. I know I have.
If you report a duplicate then the staff, generally, just hide the duplicate file (that is it is invisible to people browsing) so no new downloaders latch on. But then they let the duplicate file continue seeding until everyone is complete.
The only posts that get deleted immediately after a report are banned files and DCMA take-downs.
I hope lots of people said thank you
