Two suspects have been arrested and charged with first- and second-degree murder after a truly horrific scene was discovered the day after Christmas in Troy, New York — a lesbian couple and two of their young children were found tied up in their basement, throats slashed. The unthinkable tragedy took place five days prior, on December 21.

Both men have entered not guilty pleas.

The victims were 36-year-old Shanta Myers, her 22-year-old partner Brandi Mells, Myers’ 11-year-old son Jeremiah and five-year-old daughter Shanise (pictured above). All four had their ankles and wrists bound and were only discovered when the home’s property manager came around to check on the family.

Troy Police Chief John Tedesco said: “After being in this business for 43 years, I can’t describe the savagery of a person who would do this. I don’t think there’s any doubt that a person who committed this crime is capable of anything.”

At the time of the discovery, Tedesco also said he believed the killing was “not a random act,” but he did not elaborate.

Since the 1990s most of the mainstream researchers talk about the 'homosexualties' rather than 'homosexuality'.  There seem to be many pathways to identifying as gay/lesbian and hormone exposure during pregnancy seems to be one of the possibilities.

It certainly works that way for cows.

I can readily believe it (queer folks TEND to be less judgemental of what is "too much"). I'd still like to see the real data, though.

A new study strongly suggests same-sex couples are conspicuously happier than their straight brothers and sisters.

Researchers questioned over 25,000 people in the United Kingdom and more than 9,000 in Australia.

The data they collected led them to conclude gay and lesbian couples are quite content and just really feeling themselves.

On the other hand, bisexual people were on average less happy in their relationships than heterosexual or homosexual couples.

The study was conducted by Janeen Baxter and Francisco Perales at the University of Queensland.

“Relationship quality in same-sex couples was as high as in heterosexual couples in the United Kingdom,” they conclude, “and higher in Australia.”

Sounds whacky, but I still think the entire thing was just a media distraction from the REAL news.  :crazy2:

Been with the love of my life for 8 years now (going-on 9), but still have one yearning question that I have yet to have anyone answer. I am an "extroverted introvert" or talkative geek. My husband doesn't talk much - not even to the point of bringing-up his own feelings unless it is an extreme situation. How does someone used to being able to talk about anything deal with someone who doesn't talk much at all?

Here's a question that I'm surprised no-one has asked before (well, that I know-of anyway) - What is your favorite film that you HATE that you love? What movie gleefully has you watch & rewatch & rewatch….... So many times that you have lost count? What one have you not only memorized the dialogue but also have your own set of "callback lines" for? I personally have quite a few like this, but I realize not everyone is the geek that I am... >:D

Been with my husband 9 years & there is 19 years between us. I'm sure, however, that some twink-queen that has never been "in a relationship" more than 6 hours (and with lots of Ecstasy) will try to tell me that there is no way on Earth that is possible without one of us being a "gold-digger"  - which is impossible considering both of us are poor.

If you are meaning straight actors in straight porn, an explanation for their seemingly 'lack of enjoyment' could be that the focus of straight porn is overwhelming on the actresses. Porn directors will be much more interested in reaction shots and the acting of the actresses rather than the actors.The actors are also just there to provide the 'money shot' on or in the actress.
