Right now, Lithuania is the country to go to for sanctuary.
To be fair, US is the last country I would choose to free from such a situation. USA is kinda in Russia hands right now.

Realistically, a partner so passive that I become completely disinterested.
anyone in/near Atlanta? 42, white, 5'10", 190lbs, beard/stache/tattoos, versatile-top, married in an open-relationship (play together or separate), 7.5"cut - 8" when rockhard
probably GWAR (just kidding…) :afraid2:
In fairness, Darby Crash wasn't the brightest lightbulb in the package - he could resemble the mentality of Sid Vicious at times. Rozz, on the other hand, was honest about it.
In all fairness, Rozz Williams (singer of Christian Death) was a total flamer. Coincidentally, Darby Crash of the Germs was a semi-closeted/self-loathing homosexual as well.
Nice try, but doesn't quite work that way - when gay men talk about being gay/bi/transgendered as "political propaganda" THAT is self-hating.
sure if we dont agree with you we are " self-hating bigots " that's a given ;D
A glaring LACK of talent in the case of many.
I actually don't give a shit about pop divas. I'm not even sure what technically qualifies a female pop singer as one.
Love Coil and Death In June. Also love Jobriath - that man could put on a show!
I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but music and musicians that generally seem to appeal to gay men, straight women and, for some reason, the Japanese, are often theatrical, flamboyant, extravagant and avant-garde. I guess Coil was essentially "gay" music. At least I always thought of their music that way. Not as music "for" or "about" gay culture/identity, but music borne of gay sensibilities.
Jobriath also comes to mind. And, to a lesser extent, Death in June. Particularly the early material.
It was good, but the novel was quite a bit better.
Made for TV Movie Salem's Lot (Uncut) 1979
For people that CLAIM not to be racist, you all are pretty hung-up over the fact you are white. Just saying - the discrimination against whites is all in your own heads and YOU are the ones feeding it.
Out of curiosity, what is up with all of the bigoted, right-leaning Conservatives on this site? Are there really that many self-hating bigots in the LGBT community or has this site been invaded by Republican "Tea-Party" nutjobs?
If Christians don't kill, please explain that to the corpses of gay/black/mexican/muslim people that were killed by 'white-power" Christians in rural-areas of this country. I'm sure their bones will feel QUITE enlightened.
Let me tell you, I think god every day that I live by Christians now. The worst thing a Christian will do, they will say you going to hell. The worst thing muslim will do? Cant even compare this two things.
Considering MOST Conservatives are Bible-thumping bigots that want the right to silence anyone they disagree with, I hope not.
While I have to say my favorite director in this subgenre would be Mario Bava, many EARLY Dario Argento films are quite well-done. It is truly a shame that the older he became, the more he felt a need to include "tits'n'ass"
Yes, and he manages to cover many social-issues even via using many standard concepts. Have you ever seen MARTIN?
Quite possibly, at least in terms of "mainstream" (meaning not abysmally obscure) cinema. The social/political subtext in Romero's films is definitely one of the things I like about them. That said, I also appreciate that it's relatively subtle and indirect. In other words, it doesn't come across as preachy or contrived.
My all-time fave is PROFONDO ROSSO. EARLY Dario Argento was GREAT - and it was a shame when he went all "tits-n-ass".
Good choice! I think that was one of the first horror-films to challenge racism.
I say my favorite cult classic/non-"mall-cineplex-filler" (whatever that means) horror film is probably Night of the Living Dead.
