I was one of them - you could tell they were hoping "the formula" would guarantee them a multiple-season run.
There were people disappointed that it was too different from the comic books it was supposed to be based on–

I love animation but hate both Disney & Pixar. They are whitewashing everything. Personally, give me good unrated anime.
Currently? KillerMike (but kudos to Run The Jewels). Of all-time? Ice-T or Public Enemy.
Mr. Humphries from ARE YOU BEING SERVED? (played by John Inman). I know most of you here are too young & hip to ever have heard of it or seen it, but…......
AGREED. It was all about the twinks. It didn't overcome stereotypes, just reinforced them to closeted-folk still shocked that they themselves were gay.
I remember it, but not fondly.
For a show seeking to overcome stereotypes, it did it's share to keep certain stereotypes going. :afr2:
I remember it, but never really was into it…. It was twinks & "pretty-boys" only from my perspective. Well, that & elderly men INTO "pretty-boys".
No kidding! TV has a 'M' rating for mature now in my country, and it was put into use for a reason!
@liz:
Everyone has genitals, shouldn't be something to hide
Honestly, who cares? If they are talented, then it is good music. If they are just cashing-in on straight-people waking-up to the fact that LGBT exist, they are as bad as the so-called "allies" that just don't want others to recognize their inner homophobia.
i understand lady gaga and madonna having massive gay followings, but what is really typically 'gay'? just wondering :blownose:
If it is good music, I like it regardless of genre or classification. If it is some wannabe-celebrity trying to make a name for themselves, I'd rather not.
What kind of music you guys like? Please no Justin Bieber
Glad to hear that there is at least one other that likes music whether or not it is considered "gay-enough".
…I mean early 80s or prior. No video-game or TV adaptations, and no mall-cineplex-filler.
I meant the first one - honestly, I mentally eliminate most sequels until they prove otherwise.
It stopped at the second Silent Hill. Didn't get to do a third.
Not initially - he only "changed his opinion" when he figured that most people wanted Bernie. Sadly, it has gotten to the point TYT is FAR less progressive than it used to be - although I would say Democracy Now! is still quite good. Amy Goodman is a GREAT journalist.
Maybe, but you had Cenk from TYT on your side.
Or is everyone into repetitive pop-R&B mainstream "music"?
What exactly are you trying to do? I mean organized is more important than "attractive".
Stick with the original, RINGU. Frankly, the rest were blah.
So has anyone seen Rings (the thriller movie with the girl coming out of the TV)? The score in imdb is only 4.5 sadly.. And I was waiting so long for it to happen. Is it actually so bad? Or people had high hopes because of the first masterpiece?
I can hear it now - "But what about the children?!?!"
So why does Mr King Kong hasn't got any genitals?
I noticed something long ago with "Babe", which had no anus.
Never heard of "YoutubePoop"?
Seeking material for what I guess could be called a little "hobby" of mine–getting a kick when the pieces fit together just right--splicing and joining movies.
Forgetting SILENT HILL?
I also want video game movies to succeed but, I guess only Resident Evil has done well?
