So, a note on DUPLICATES -

To be a duplicate, the "other" torrent has to be "alive" (that is: at least one seeder or at least one leecher).

If the torrent you're wanting to seed (and see as a potential duplicate) is DEAD (no seeders & no leechers), then upload your torrent as NEW, and send a note to the helpdesk explaining that the old one is dead. A Staffer will delete the old one & let your new one start anew (that is: atop the "latest torrents" board).

The problem with just re-animating (that is seeding a dead torrent) is that you can't get anyone to FIND it! Most people are only looking at NEW torrents... you need that presence at the top of the list to get any action on it!

NOTE: These are my own personal observations - I do not speak for the system owner(s) or Staff... but I've been around here since 2008 - I've learned a thing or two, I have!

WRT: uploading from different IPs... know that your uploads are tracked by your user ID - which is tied into your tracker connection. The tracker uses this ID, not your IP address - which is why you can seed from multiple IPs and get credit for all of it!

Actually, the issue I think you're seeing there (I don't know for sure, as I'm not downloading that torrent) is that there are plenty of leechers (people who don't have the whole thing), but likely only the original seeder (uploader) so far - and they may not be seeding it at all any longer, or may just have a really slow connection.

If you "report" the torrent, a staff member may be able to look into the uploader's initial seeding.

This gets REALLY problematic when you consider that other, potentially faster, uploaders are stopped from uploading because it would be a duplicate.

It's REALLY important that: IF you upload, make sure you can SEED!

BTW: This is the 2nd "new topic" about basically the same thing... you know, you don't get credit anymore for starting new topics (or posting at all)... that ended years ago when the forum software was changed...

The quality and speed of downloads from this site are strictly a matter of speed capabilities between the seeder(s) and leecher(s)...

In my experience, newer and freeleech torrents are most likely to download FAST - because there are plenty of seeders in the "swarm"...

But, with that said, if you're seeing really slow connections, consider that your ISP may have "found you out" and throttled your speed.

My ISP does so every few weeks if I leave my connection to the VPN server up too long. My solution is that I change my VPN server every weekend. I haven't been throttled (other than when I forget to swap servers) in almost 2 years now.

If you don't use a VPN (and you should... you REALLY should!), change the ports you're using in your torrent client. (This isn't necessary if you're using/changing VPN servers - your ISP won't have visibility to your port.)

One last comment... you're not a new user here... invite your new (formerly thought of as str8) friend over for some mutual masturbation sessions! Or if he wants to remain remote, stream your own porn to him in chat and JO together to it!

• To the system, a "SEEDER" is someone who has the entire torrent - whose sole purpose in remaining in the swarm is to seed the torrent.

Keep in mind that only a true seeder (with all of the contents) earns SBP for seeding a torrent!
