    • RE: Favorite healthy-ish sauces for adding flavor?

      @meowmeowmix:

      I use a lot of hot sauce, soy ginger to flavor stir fires/meats; wondering what else people use that's relatively healthy and quick

      The best way to get the most flavor out of meat or poultry is to brown it well and then make a simple pan sauce.

      https://www.bonappetit.com/test-kitchen/how-to/article/perfect-pan-sauce

      In general, people in the West tend to not think of adding umami flavors to food.  Ketchup, soy or Worcestershire sauce, and mushrooms all have a lot of umami flavor.   Yeast flakes or cans of grated Parmesan cheese are other ingredients that can be added to all sorts of dishes just for the umami element.

      If you want to add heat to a dish, might as well use chili-garlic sauce.  It's not just for Asian cuisine.

      @Trellaine:

      Thanks.  So complicated.  I wil try and read it over and over to understand.  I have no idea what some of those words mean.

      It is complicated, but the most important point to understand is that it is necessary to share as well as take in order to be allowed to continue to download torrents.

      Your ratio is a measure of how much data you upload (share with others) compared to how much data you download (take from others).  The more data you download, the higher that ratio must be.  At this point, up until you have downloaded 100 GB of data, you are required to keep your ratio over 0.45.  Your current ratio is just over that.

      When you make a financial contribution, you get credit for uploading data to improve your ratio.

      You can also buy credit for uploading data using your SeedBonus points.

    • RE: Donation clarificaiton?

      @Trellaine:

      I sent an email 2-3 days ago with no response.

      what does this mean
      12.00 GB
      36.00 GB SEEDED + 4 Extra Download Slots

      Need clarification.

      Thanks

      https://www.gaytorrent.ru/donate.php

      The way I understand that, if you donate €20, you will get 36 GB credited as uploaded to improve your ratio.  (Apparently, it was 12 GB before but there is a "special offer" currently.)  You will also get 4 more download slots.

      https://www.gaytorrent.ru/rationator.php

      Per the "The Rationator Table", your baseline daily torrent download limit currently is 10 plus 1 for each torrent you uploaded.  Your daily limit would increase by 4 for 30 days and then by 2 for another 30 days.

      Your current stats are:

      Ratio: 0.450
      Uploaded: 23.05 GB
      Downloaded: 51.25 GB
      SeedBonus: 425.125

      So if you donated €20, your stats would change to this:

      Ratio: 1.15
      Uploaded: 59.05 GB
      Downloaded: 51.25 GB
      SeedBonus: 425.125

      You can also exchange your SeedBonus points for upload credit:

      https://www.gaytorrent.ru/getbonus.php

      Other uses for SeedBonus points include making a torrent freeleech or thanking the original uploader, on the torrent page.

    • RE: No upload :(

      @mandu:

      Hello

      I recently switch form Windows to Mac. I am using qBittorrent and the problem is that downloaded torrents aren't seeding.

      Did anything change besides your computer, like your internet service provider, modem, router, etc.?  New security software?

      Is the problem only with new downloaded torrents or are old torrents that you moved from your old computer not seeding, either?

      Do they actually show as seeding in qBittorrent?

      When you go to your profile page here on gaytorrent.ru and click on "Show seeding torrents" do the torrents show as seeding?

      Here's some troubleshooting that you might try if you already haven't:

      You've probably already done this, but check all of the preference settings for qBittorrent and make sure that you are not limiting upload speeds or restricting uploading to certain hours or have it set not to upload at all.

      Try doing a recheck of the data for a few torrents to make sure qBittorrent knows where the files are and that they are complete.  If you renamed or moved the folder the files are in, that will cause a problem.  Some torrent clients have an option to use one folder for downloading torrents and another folder for completed torrents.  Sometimes they use a different file type for uncompleted torrents.

      Try removing a few torrents from qBittorrent and downloading new .torrent files for them from the torrent page here on gaytorrent.ru and use those new .torrent files to re-add the torrents to qBittorent.

      Try installing Transmission and adding a few torrents to it using the new .torrent files to see if the torrent client settings are causing a problem.

    • RE: Why does Utorrent only seed 1 of my uploaded vids?

      @Markajv65:

      I am new at adding torrents to this site, It was pretty easy to do but my problem is I let them sit in Utorrent so I can seed them but no matter how many torrents I have Utorrent is only showing 1 seeding. Why aren't they all seeding? I checked preferences and I think my settings are right. I don't get it. Any help would be appreciated.

      When do you see when you click on the link for "Show seeding torrents" at the bottom of your profile page here?  Does it show them seeding?  Leeching?  Not at all?

      If you add a torrent to this site and then download the torrent file and add it to µTorrent, it should check the data and then show it as seeding.  Does that happen each time?

      Try closing and reopening µTorrent and then doing a manual recheck of the data for each torrent you are trying to seed.

      If that doesn't work, remove the torrents from µTorrent (don't delete the video files!) and then download the torrent files from this site again and add them to µTorrent.

    • RE: Can't download torrents for the last two days

      @dehskins:

      All of a sudden I can't download torrents at gaytorrents.ru using utorrent. I get the error message (Unable to load "matches.torrent":unknown error!) then I click ok and then I get the error message (Unable to load "Justice":unknown error!) I click ok and then another message (Unable to load "Nick":unknown error!) I click ok and then another error message (Unable to load "more": unknown error!) Clicking ok again and getting (Unable to load "8": unknown error!). The messages go away when I click ok again. This is all that happens when I try and download a torrent.

      I have searched the entire site for help and have found none I am having no problems downloading from other torrent sites just this one. I am also using firefox as my browser. I would really appreciate some assistance.

      If I use Microsoft Edge I am able to download torrents without an issue. I however don't wish to use that browser and would like help in figuring out the issue gaytorrent.ru is having with firefox.

      It's probably an issue with µTorrent or some setting on your end rather than a problem with this site or the torrent files you download from it, or else many people would be asking about it. Might have something to do with this being a private tracker.

      Try this:

      https://forum.utorrent.com/topic/101333-unable-to-load-name-of-torrent-unknown-error/

      Then this:

      Youtube Video

      If you are still having a problem, try asking on the µTorrent forums.

    • RE: Can't download freeleech torrent due to bad ratio?

      @ashley1992:

      Hi,

      Not sure if it's a torrent problem, but I'm trying to fix my ratio via downloading freeleech torrents and will leave it to seed, but the tracker says I have bad ratio and not allowing me to download? Never ran into this problem before  😕 any suggestions? I'm running on MAC OSX (just in case).

      Thanks in advance.

      Looks like your ratio is just under 0.80.  You only need 20 more seed bonus points to have 100 points to buy 1 GB of traffic which will fix your ratio.  That should only take 40 hours of seeding or less than two days.  Just be patient!  You can also rate all the torrents you've downloaded to earn some points to get to 100 points faster.  Then stick to freeleech torrents for a while.  You have a lot of traffic so it is harder to improve your ratio.  Seed!

    • RE: Newbie here just some basic technical advice needed

      @adamshepardl:

      Just started uploading torrents and really enjoying the site.

      On the torrent pages that I've uploaded that other members can see, it says "upped by anonymous".
      Does that mean other users cannot see that it's been uploaded by me?  adamshepardl ?

      Is it supposed to be like that, or can I change it so that people can see my username so they can see I uploaded it in case they wanted to message me?

      Yes, only the mods, admins, etc. can see who uploaded a torrent.  Anonymity is better for you.  It is supposed to be like that.  People can comment on the torrent at the bottom of the page.  I think you do get a notification when that happens.

    • RE: What is upload credit used for when cashed in via my seed bonus?

      @adamshepardl:

      I'm confused as to what upload credit is?
      Do I require credit to upload new torrent files, and is that what this is used for?
      It says that I give the points they give the traffic.  What is traffic?
      Does that mean uploading new torrents?
      Can this "traffic", mean downloading other people's torrent files?

      Thanks.

      "Traffic" in this instance refers to the amount of data you upload, i.e. share with others.  It is important to maintain a good ratio of uploading to downloading.  That just means sharing as much or more than you take, to maintain your download privileges.

      If you seed the torrents you download continuously (whether or not anyone downloads them), rate torrents you downloaded, add photos to torrent pages that need them, etc., you will earn bonus points.  You can use those points to buy upload traffic to improve your ratio, use it for gifts to thank those who upload torrents, or spend the points to make a torrent freeleech.

      https://www.gaytorrent.ru/rationator.php

      You do not need credit or even a good ratio to upload new torrent files.  Just be sure to follow the rules for uploading.

      The easiest way to build a good foundation for your ratio is to mostly download freeleech torrents at first.  The videos that are freeleech do not count as download traffic but upload traffic will still count.  To find them when you search, check the "Freeleech only" box, or you will see the yellow "Freeleech" banner when you browse the torrents.

      It seems complicated at first, but as long as you seed all the time and don't download too many non-freeleech videos right away, eventually the only problem will be spending your points, not your ratio.

      @heartfellII:

      Thank you for the answers ! But it is more an investigation than a request. As soon as I have more information about the file existing i'm gonna do a request. Actually the "sexgaymes" dvd do not have this scene between kurt and steel farrel only. (in the sauna)

      Download it from Redtube using this or another similar free service:

      https://www.tubeoffline.com/download-RedTube-videos.php

      I haven't used that site and can't vouch for it.  It's just an example that happened to be first in a Google search.

      https://www.google.com/search?q=redtube+downloader

      Then you can upload it here.

    • RE: Given search w.r.t. size in descending order, how to move to specific page #?

      @jakekrakep:

      Is there a convenient way to move to specific torrent number section? I believe there must be one.

      Thanks!

      Just type whatever page number you want to go to in the URL in the address bar of your browser instead of the current page number.  It doesn't work with the very first page of search results as there is no page number, but it does work with any other page.

      https://www.gaytorrent.ru/browse.php?orderby=size&sort=desc&indesc=1&search=dick&page=100

      https://www.gaytorrent.ru/browse.php?orderby=size&sort=desc&indesc=1&search=dick&page=200

      etc.

      You might want a little overlap so as not to miss any as torrents are continuously added.

    • RE: Trying to upload, How do I seed my torrent?

      @Cub2263:

      When I download the .torrent file to utorrent it just stays at 0% and doesn't seed. I read in the upload instructions that this seems to have something to do with where I save the .torrent file in relation to another file, which they are unclear about, to be able to seed and let people access what I have uploaded.

      Okay, sounds like the problem is that μTorrent doesn't know where the actual video file that you want to upload is located.  Try moving the video file to the same folder in which μTorrent puts the completed video files it downloads.  Next, force a recheck of the torrent or close and open μTorrent.  It should then find the video file and go to 100% with the torrent and start seeding.

      I am trying to upload and I have successfully uploaded but I just need to seed the torrent. However, I am not able to do this, and I have looked at the instructions and they don't help me. I am confused about where I am supposed to direct the torrent file to save. Can someone help me out?

      I am not sure that I understand exactly what you are asking about.  If you are referring to downloading the torrent file from the page here on gaytorrent.ru, the simplest place to save it would be your desktop but it doesn't really matter where you put it.  I keep all torrent files in a folder just in case I need them later, which I have in the past.  The important thing is to add it to your torrent software, usually just by doubleclicking on the file.

      @brijcorns:

      I have this issue as well. I'm a Vuze user from way back but know there is uploading issues with this site & that client so have tried a couple others & still have problems. I leave my torrents open & uploading for a long time & am frustrated they don't keep uploading while I'm away from the computer.

      Does anyone have recommendations for the best torrent client/app to use on a Mac? What Mac/Catalina friendly app is best for use with this site?

      Any replies greatly appreciated!

      Transmission is great on Mac but I do verify the data for each download as sometimes a torrent will show as 100% when it is really 99.92% or similar after verification.  If you are not uploading, you might try closing your torrent software and reopening it.  Also check for the usual general problems with torrenting such as having closed ports or other settings that need to be adjusted.

    • RE: The search bug a lot

      @lololulu19:

      Search engines such as Google should be blocked from indexing this website by using a Robots.txt in the HTML code of the site.  By indexing the site, ANYBODY can search for Torrents on GTRU whether they have a membership or not.  This is why there are so man DMCA reports.

      Eh, there are only a few large gay-specific torrent sites.  This is one of them and there are no restrictions on signing up for an account and then searching.  Anyone interested in sending out DMCA takedown requests would still do so even if the site weren't indexed by Google.

      Perhaps it does make it slightly easier for people to submit DMCA requests, but the advantage to members of using Google probably outweighs that slight disadvantage.  Google searches are both easier and more versatile because of the ability to use search operators.  Google search functions even when the site's search function does not.

      Honoring DMCA requests is the practical thing to do, aside from the legal and moral aspects.  It is likely essential for the site's long-term survival.  This isn't like the old Pirate Bay with millions of active users and the financial resources and full-time staff to continuously battle for existence.
