I don't upload that much since virtually all of the movies I get are from here.  But I had uploaded a duplicate once - after having searched the site under the name of the movie, the name of each of the performers, and the name of the studio - there had been a previously uploaded file a few years before under a made up name with no information on the performers or the studio.

Same here,  I got nailed for a duplicate.  A torrent I wanted was dead, so I found it somewhere else and uploaded it here and it was reported as a duplicate.  The correct way to handle that situation is to ask a moderator to run some tests to see if the torrent is truly dead.  If it is, they mod will give you permission to upload it.

In your situation, where the original file was not properly labelled, a moderator might have been able to take down the first torrent if it didn't meet the rules.  I don't think they would penalize you in that situation if you made a good faith effort to check for duplicates and found none because the original torrent was not documented correctly.

In his defense, he asked about it first and then immediately decided not to do it when there was pushback.  My initial reaction was negative but no harm was done and it raised the issue for discussion, which is a good thing.

BTW, I think it's an unrealistic expectation for the already overworked and unpaid moderators to have yet more work in flagging a new category of problematic videos,

Members flag them and mods investigate the reports.  The last couple of duplicate torrents I reported didn't get removed, but there were some minor differences such as photos added to one torrent even though my interpretation of the rules was that they were not allowed, so maybe the investigating mod didn't agree.   The mods seem to rightly err on the side of leniency when intentions are good.  Just the fact that the side is moderated at all should appreciated!

Duplicate torrents are a problem and demonstrate either sloppiness or deliberate rule-breaking.  Most of the time, it is probably the former and as someone recently pointed out on another thread, this site is fairly complicated, with lots of features, rules, FAQs, information pages, boards, stickied threads, etc.  For instance, apparently first-time posters in the forum aren't allowed to request specific videos on the boards intended for that, so they often post their requests on this particular meta board instead, out of place.

The worse problem in my opinion is torrents with the wrong title, a poor description (HAWT!) or no description, few or no photos, plus begging for bonus points and especially when it's done so in a deceptive manner.  (Seed bonus needed so I can continue to upload this type of torrent!)

Those sloppy torrents also seem to be duplicate torrents more often than torrents with a page with lots of information.

i noticed that when there is a lot of seeders, leechers are not downloading from me. but when i am the only seeder, leecher has no problem downloading from me. probably my internet speed is slower than super seeders'.

That is pretty much my situation, too, even though my internet speeds are okay by U.S. standards, and I don't know why, either.

five years ago, i was downloading 350MB per scene and seeder bonus of 600points = 10GB upload was enough to keep my ratio of 1.0
but now, in 2020, i download 1.5GB per scene and keeping a good ratio through seeder bonus points is impossible.

I download mostly the larger files and have uploaded only a few and relatively unpopular torrents but have no trouble keeping my ratio up just from seeding 24/7.  I don't even buy traffic with bonus points.  I wonder if something is preventing you from sharing data such as low upstream bandwidth or a software setting?

You don't have to pay to join this site and I have used it with a Mac for many years without encountering any Mac-specific issues.  I do use Chrome instead of Safari.  Specifically what kind of problems are you running into?  Maybe people can make some suggestions that would help.

You would have to worry if you downloaded a huge collection of amateur videos of 50+ guys and one happens to contain an underage model. . . .

Yes.  The only thing I can think of is maybe I already have downloaded the torrent.

That's a possibility, it could already be in your torrent software.  You might also try downloading the torrent file again and manually adding it to your torrent software.  Maybe the software is not finding the torrent file for some odd reason.  It's also a large file, so make sure that you have room for it on your drive.

On another note and probably not related  but as a newbie I am finding this site really frustrating.  :cry2:

I contribute a bunch of money.  I get the ratio up.  I always leave my torrents running 24hrs a day and now my ration has gone way down.

Really frustrating and find this site very difficult to decipher and use.

The site is a bit complicated but most of the features are useful once you figure everything out.  If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask and plenty of people will try to help.

Your current ratio is not bad at all.  You could buy 10GB of upload credit with 600 of your bonus points, and that would help.

If you upload porn with underage models, even unintentionally, you are putting anyone who downloads and shares it at legal risk, not just yourself.  There are also moral issues in facilitating the distribution of underage porn.

The legal consequences in the U.S. are severe.  It's a federal crime.  Prison, fines, long periods of probation, placement on a public sex offender list for life, limits on where one can live and work, difficulty of finding employment, etc.

It wouldn't be okay for you to decide if the models appear to be underage based on their appearance even if you were confident in your ability to do so.  Guessing isn't good enough if there is any question at all about age, especially these days when anyone can make and distribute a video of anything.  There are very good reasons established porn studios keep legal records of their models' ages and consent on file for inspection.

Large torrents have a lot of disadvantages, anyway.  Not many people really want the entire collection, so very few of them are kept alive for long.  To make one freeleech is too expensive in terms of points, they take up a lot of storage space, etc.

Don't do it unless there is a good medical reason for it and even then, the less that is cut away, the better.  For instance, if your foreskin is so tight that erections are painful, it's not necessary to get a complete circumcision.

There are definitely risks involved and if your penis functions fine now, it won't function any better after circumcision and may not function as well.  At best, you would lose a LOT of very sensitive foreskin with lots of nerves, so you would have decreased sensation and pleasure.  Some men even try to restore their circumcised foreskin by progressively stretching it.

Both cut and uncut penises will be "unclean" if they are not kept clean.  Uncut penises have more skin to produce smegma and the folds of the foreskin keep the smegma from rubbing off on underclothing so the uncircumcised penises generally need to be washed more often to be kept as clean.  I prefer uncircumcised penises but a dirty penis, cut or uncut, is a definite turn off for me. I don't like dirty asses, either, but I can go either way with dirty armpits, depending on the man's natural body odor.  However, some men like dirty penises, dirty asses, etc.  But it sounds like he thinks your uncut penis is "unclean" not because it is physically dirty but as a matter of principle, perhaps based in religion.

You didn't ask for relationship advice, but since you are both in your 20s and have been dating for 9 months, it seems a bit unusual that you have not had sex or even foreplay yet.  At least in theory, he doesn't want to blow you but wouldn't mind being blown.  (The circumcision issue may not be the entire reason.)   He does not like and will not accept your penis the way it is.  All three of those facts seem to indicate that your relationship is at best one of friendship and is not destined to be a happy romantic relationship.

This is a new year and a new decade. These new gays deserve a category of their own. It's not right to put them in "Shemale" nor "Fetish" they are neither. I recommend a new category and or changing "Shemale" which is now considered a derogatory term on its own to be changed to "Transsexual" which could include both MTF(Male to Female once called Shemale) and FTM(The newest group of men i.e people born female who have had their breasts and/or vagina modified). Yes, a significant number of torrents are removed from the site on an ongoing basis.  I have learned to download a new torrent that I want immediately as they are often removed.  That is particularly true with certain studios.

You can make a regular Google search for the torrent that is missing using site:gaytorrent.ru as a search term and sometimes see the removed torrent in the results.  For instance:

You get a page here that says, "No torrent with ID."

That means it was removed from the site because of a takedown request, because it was a duplicate torrent or otherwise didn't follow the rules, etc.

What happens to a torrent when there are no seeders for some weeks or months?

It stays on the site as a "dead" torrent and doesn't appear in search results for active torrents.  Right now, search results show 169,492 dead torrents and 202,998 active torrents.

A torrent can show as dead but still have intermittent seeders as some people do not seed 24/7/365.  Also, a re-seed request will occasionally result in a response.

Hey, Im using Transmission as my torrent client on Mac. Despite my best efforts none of the torrents I download start seeding once they're downloaded. Ive tried everything I can in the preferences but it doesn't make a difference. I keep getting warnings to fix my ratio and end up donating cash. Any tips or better clients for Mac?

You have uploaded 1.43 TB of data, so you are seeding or at least have seeded in the past.

Is the problem that no one seems to be actually downloading what you are seeding or that the torrents are not available for download?
Do the torrents show as seeding from the link on your profile page here on gaytorrent.ru?
Does Transmission show them as seeding? 
Has something changed recently with your internet, computer, or software?

It's hard to offer suggestions without more information, but here are some basics:

Close and re-open Transmission.
Check Transmission settings to make sure they are not interfering with seeding.  There are overall Transmission preference settings and also settings for individual torrents for bandwidth, ratio, etc. 
Make sure Transmission is not on "Speed Limit" inadvertently.
"Verify Local Data" for the downloaded torrents to make sure they are 100%.  Sometimes Transmission will show a downloaded torrent at 100% even though it is only 99.XX % when the data is manually verified.
Try "Remove From List" for one of the torrents, then download the torrent file from gaytorrent.ru again, and re-add the torrent to Transmission.

There have been some recent threads with similar issues, so try checking the last five or so pages on this board.

Not that I know of because Browse works as an infinite scroll that doesn't have discrete pages.  It works well if you want to see the newest torrents as they are at the top.

Depends on what kind of foods you like to eat the most and what is readily available at a reasonable cost where you live.  Think starch + a sauce with protein and vegetables, which is perfect for two pots:

Rice + beans
Pasta + stewed chicken with vegetables
Cous cous + vegetable stew
Rice + curried chickpeas and vegetables.

Then add a piece of fruit and perhaps some bread.  Since you are in Mexico, you have access to good, healthy fresh breads, tortillas, etc.
