Okay, that's something you should look at because there are checks you can do to make sure the memory is okay and settings you can tweak to avoid errors.  That's not an uncommon error in general, so solutions exist that are not specific to torrenting, just do a search.

I also have 16 GB of RAM that was an upgrade a few years after purchasing a mid-range computer years ago and never have run into errors due to memory limitations.  I have 1,500+ torrents running on Transmission and the software does take a couple of minutes to get up and running when I restart my computer but that's the only problem I've encountered and I don't think it has anything to do with RAM, just the number of torrents that have to be loaded.  You're operating at a different scale, though.

However, I don't think they should be sent to camps - they just need better education. Even the stupidest people (yes, even Trump supporters!) can be educated. But it takes a hell of a lot to fix those brains, they are very, very damaged.

I don't know if it's possible to educate the stupidity and hate away but learning work skills in a camp and working in a factory or on a farm would at least give them some utility to our society.  You can look at them and see that they are violent criminals working together as a gang of nationalistic thugs.

However, I have heard that anyone can just put a bullet through their fucking useless brains on sight since they are anarchists.  Lead is bad for the environment so they should be lined up first to kill as many as possible with one bullet, or else just douse them with gasoline and burn them alive.  The heat could be used to make electricity so they would at least serve some purpose, however limited.  Or else slit their throats with a chain saw and feed them to hogs.

Both are important.  When someone offers an invitation to a private tracker, they want to make sure the recipient is active and seeds generously.  Your ratio isn't bad and the suggestion to get your ratio over 1 is just to remove any doubts anyone might have.

Court order could call into question not only BLM decisions but others across the administration

An order by the chief judge of the Montana federal court on Friday not only ousted William Perry Pendley as the top official at the Bureau of Land Management but might also invalidate a wide range of decisions he took to open up vast parts of the American west to oil and gas drilling.

Pendley has been effectively serving as BLM’s acting director even though President Trump never sent his name to the Senate for confirmation, Judge Brian Morris said in his order. The judge gave the Interior Department and the plaintiffs in the case 10 days to submit examples of actions Pendley took that might be set aside.

Morris’s order could also call into question decisions made by officials in similar positions across the administration, which has not nominated people to fill 133 of the more than 750 key positions that require Senate confirmation. Many of the people carrying out those responsibilities may now be challenged for doing so in violation of a law about filling federal vacancies.

“We’re talking here about an acting official or someone designated to be the equivalent who may have no authority to make decisions,” said Max Stier, president of the Partnership for Public Service. “It creates uncertainty across the board and there are many other instances where the same or similar circumstances might exist.”

Am I the only one who thinks more than a 10 GB torrent download is a mistake? These huge downloads don't last at all - most folks don't have the storage capacity, and have to break them up. Poof - they disappear.

I agree if it is a collection and have posted about it many times.  Not only is there the problem you point out of few long-term seeders of the complete torrent if any, here are some other issues:

Usually the videos are poorly described.

If someone downloads only part of a torrent and then seeds it, the torrent will continue to occupy one of their download slots.

No one will ever use seedbonus points to make a huge torrent freeleech, even if they have enough to do so in the first place.

A DMCA takedown request for one video in a collection will nuke the entire torrent.
