if you don't have this problem with other trackers, you can't have it with this one either. the only difference is that this tracker doesn't reply with 'offline scrape' signal. if you have queuing enabled, then it can be your problem. with this tracker you need to turn this option off (it works even when enabled, though), or you can use 'forced' option to start your torrents without waiting, but then these torrents don't fit set queuing limits.
hi Christ. we already are preparing and testing this system, so called 'tags'. as for now, we don't plan to enable this option globally for all users, as it for sure will bring too much work for Staff. already now we are having much to do with images approval and missing torrent replacement.
however, if you wish to tag your torrents, you're much welcome. have a look at our torrent list how the tags should be formatted => ~key-word => the tilda "~" in the beginning firmly connected to the word, and "-" between 2/more words of the same tag {i.e./e.g. ~group-sex, ~oral-sex}, are necessary to make these tags really working with using our search engine. tags should be placed as the last line of the description {for now; and for some short time we let them in titles also, to get users used to this}. once decided, we will inform users about this with global news.
depending on what client is used. normally, DHT can't ruin anyone's ratio at all, yet it's totally useless for private trackers in general, since it only provides nothing else but list of peers. uTorrent, for instance, needs the exact torrent-file hashes so that it can take some avail from DHT. as long as every user has his own passkey which is "stamped" into his torrents, these torrents differ from other torrents, hence DHT can't "find" them.
much more dangerous {and possibly harmful} is the function of "sharing torrents" implemented in some clients. this is also useful only, if both sides use the same client. however, it may reveal your passkey.
as for this tracker, i think, i already "discovered" the "security hole" alleged by some users. in fact it's no "security hole" but the users' mistake, because of misunderstanding some tracker facilities. if you aren't sure what some of them are about, better safe than sorry and post your querry. i can't unveil the details in public, since many greedy downloaders might misuse this information for their purpose at the expense of the unaware users.

if you understood Uwe's reply, it's the main thing what i was thinking of when speaking about cosequences. just recently i had a case with two BFs who didn't wait for my reply and used the automated un-ban script. this is OK for cheaters but not for fair users, these need to wait for a moderator's or admin's impact, otherwise can significantly change their accounts to the measure when the final combined account becomes unsuable for them; i mean the rationator dynamic scale with steps which bring higher minimum ratio requirements. accordingly, these guys lost their power user status for a looong time, since the rationator jump was too gaping and unreachable for their seeding conditions therefore don't be afraid to ask for help in such cases before you decide to do something irreversible.
every [desc=there may NO crash occure]proper[/desc] closing your uTorrent generates the same STOP-signal just like stopping torrents manually, so it's not necessary to wait. statistics gets updated after a minute or so, but this is just a visible demonstration of already stored records. some clients and some versions of uTorrent are capable to send so called "manual announce" which can display actual results without waiting 30 minutes. common versions of torrenting clients can only start/stop/pause. as already told, every sending the start/stop signals resets the counters and you start from 0.00 again; this doesn't affect your account ratio, it was already stored to database with the last stop-signal. this is the main difference between GT.ru and other trackers which display statistics similarily to software clients.

[nb]actually it means both. maybe you already noticed, along with the new Dupe Warrior, also Peer Warrior was installed; the second named cares about cheating clients. normally, a banned client will only receive the error message from the tracker like "sorry, this client si banned here". but, if such a client affects one's ratio, they will be banned as well. it's really better not to use these clients, for affected accounts usually can't be restored because of the unreal ratio values[/nb]

better not. he might not understand your feelings, yet he seems to be really straight. it really makes no sense even to ponder about someone such; most likely he would not change his life only because of your devout wish even if he might. suppressed wishes of this type will only torment your soul, drop him completely off your mind and throw a look for someone else, i believe there is one over there…
this is mandatory for all uploaders with collections .. it's the only way for us to check duplicates, or otherwise we would have to open all possible collections and hard search for detailed file lists .. some uploaders are annoyed because of disapproved collections but they should understand that this is too time consuming to check it, yet it is needy for next uploaders to search for duplicates.
i can please you a bit, the problem you mention is related to overseeding, and is already in discussion for a longer time. however, one precision has to be said: our tracker measures only "on the fly" values, aka "per session", it means that once you restart your connection or your ISP disconnects you even for a short time, your values are reset to zeroes, therefore this is not a good way to track possible (let's call them) "external seeders". the tracker software needs to get significantly reworked to track such events, currently it's technically not possible.
looking at your profile history, you have many torrents that still have many seeders. just keep your torrents online, no need to care for what times because users come from different countries, thus at least once in a while you can catch someone willing your torrents. if you encounter some connection problems, we can "inspect" them but we need you to be connected.
