RE: Torrents Labeled As 'Freeleech' But Without a Time-Remaining Specification
During one of the last freeleech events we were told to disregard ones without times remaining because coding of the label had left the FREELEECH designation on those which had expired. I figured something like that might be the case again.
Old torrents may still have the yellow Freeleech line but if they have no 'time left' under that they are not freeleech
If it is the case that they're no longer FREELEECH, then these 13 torrents exist now as anomalies, left to cause a minor confusion. I'm curious, if they were to be placed on freeleech again for say an hour—returning the time-remaining countdown to their search boxes—would the label then finally be deleted after that new clock runs out, restoring them to their correct, non-FREELEECH labeled statuses?
:thx:

RE: College creates a "safe space" where students can be free from white people
Claremont McKenna College creates a "safe space" where students can be free from white people
So far these 'safe spaces' have included such highly trafficked areas of Claremont as the Motley Coffeehouse sitting room and ASCMC's office annex.
I think barring white students from at least two locations that 40% of them have probably never heard of/or been to just might be a restriction they can live with.

Torrents Labeled As 'Freeleech' But Without a Time-Remaining Specification
This screengrab of a search list sorted by Freeleech Time-Left in ascending order displays FREELEECH torrents of an unspecified time duration at the top of the list (in the red box) followed by those FREELEECH torrents whose expiration times are soonest (in the yellow box). Are the ones in red actually still FREELEECH or are they anomalies no longer available as FREELEECH?

RE: What's up with the tracker?
Something seems very strange with the tracker
Confirmed. My tracker status indicator cycled through four different error messages:
-
Error: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.
-
Error: The network connection was aborted by the local system.
-
Error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.
-
Error: The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.
The error affects both leeching and seeding torrents and appears to spontaneously resolve itself after several forced announce requests—only to resume intermittently a short time later—causing a protracted downloading experience.

RE: Sedation for anxious dogs
@beep:
but they (vets) tend to know how to handle animals
The same goes for groomers, used to all kinds of behavior.
The only one who might need the tranquilizer then is Detroiticus — but that can be done with some Glenfiddich afterwards.

RE: Sedation for anxious dogs
anti-anxiety meds for dogs?
There are a handful of anxiolytics for dogs. Which one is used depends on the type of anxiety the dog experiences: short term, long term, chronic long term (i.e., how long have they been having anxiety, and how long can they expect to be having anxiety).
The classes of anxiolytics :
[desc=acepromazine, an antipsychotic tranquilizer]ACE[/desc] = short term[desc=benzodiazepine]BDZ[/desc] = short / intermediate term
[desc=tricyclic antidepressant]TCA[/desc] = intermediate / long term
[desc=selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor]SSRI[/desc] = intermediate / long term
[desc=monoamine oxidase inhibitor]MAOI[/desc] = long-term
Vets usually try administering a drug from one class at a time. Short term cases rarely combine classes. In long term cases two of the classes may be combined: TCA and SSRI. If a drug from one of the classes that's used long term doesn't work on its own, a drug from the BDZ class may be added. Combining medication with behavioral modification appears to be more effective than medication alone in long term cases.
FDA approved for dogs:
MAOI…... Anipryl
TCA........ Clomicalm
SSRI....... Reconcile
ACE........ Atravet
BDZ........ Diastatthey come in drops or pills
And suppositories.

RE: Why isn't QTM open source
It seems like a good way to drive improvement
Open source should not be considered as a panacea for all software maintenance problems. Enterprises such as gaytorrent would first have to carry out a meticulous risk analysis when choosing whether or not to make QTM open source.
This analysis would take a large amount of time, since comparing the number of vulnerabilities of an open source product with its non-open source counterpart during any other period of time does not always yield a good comparison. Various time-related factors affect the meaning, including the severity of vulnerabilities and the impact of any exploits.
Most of the vulnerabilities in the open source products we use everyday were discovered before they could be exploited. But this was mainly possible in circumstances where the source code was available to the public right from the development stage itself, and I don't know if this was the case or not with QTM.

Gay Republicans Decline to Endorse Trump
Gay Republican Group Declines to Endorse Donald Trump
By Jeremy W. Peters of The New York Times
October 22, 2016The Log Cabin Republicans, a conservative gay and lesbian political organization, declined on Saturday to endorse Donald J. Trump for president, revealing split feelings within the group over whether the Republican nominee is really the advocate of gay rights he claims to be.
Citing the Russian proverb that Ronald Reagan used to sum up his feelings on negotiating with the Soviets — Доверяй, но проверяй (Trust, but verify) — the group said in a written statement that it was not yet prepared to fully support Mr. Trump’s candidacy.
“Should Mr. Trump become our nation’s next president, Log Cabin Republicans welcomes the opportunity to work with his administration,” the statement said. “Until and unless that happens, our trust would be misplaced.”
Instead, Log Cabin Republicans said the organization planned to spend the remaining weeks before the election working to ensure that its party maintains its majorities in the House and Senate.
Mr. Trump’s record on gay rights is muddled. And Log Cabin Republicans indicated that its members were torn between the favorable words Mr. Trump has spoken about gays, lesbians and transgender people and the anti-gay-rights policies he has embraced.
Mr. Trump has gone further than any Republican nominee in publicly declaring his personal view on the issue — at the Republican National Convention he announced his belief that “L.G.B.T.Q. citizens” should be protected from persecution. But he has also pledged to name Supreme Court justices who would overturn the decision legalizing same-sex marriage, embraced activists from the religious right who want to reverse many of the more recent legal protections put in place and did little as social conservatives pushed through a party platform that is deeply disapproving of gay and lesbian families.
“Mr. Trump is perhaps the most pro-L.G.B.T. presidential nominee in the history of the Republican Party,” Log Cabin Republicans said in its statement. “Rhetoric alone regarding L.G.B.T. issues does not equate to doctrine,” it added.

RE: Dead Torrents and Duplicates
I do believe that if you ask one of the moderators they will tell you the you should check both active and dead torrents before uploading any torrent.
Both states should be searched for (active and dead): Active ones are sought so as to discourage uploading a duplicate. Inactive ones so that they may be removed or promoted.
But do realize that a a dead torrent can become active again once a user starts seeding it. So then your upload could get reported as a duplicate
That is why the correct sequence of events is (1) the presumptive uploader holds the uploading of his torrent in abeyance until (2) his report of the inactive version is dealt with, at which time (3) the uploader may commence seeding its promotion or uploading its replacement. Any uploader following this exact sequence will never receive a duplicate warning.

RE: What song are you currently listening to?
"A particularly tone deaf moment in Donald Trump's ascent to the Republican nomination occurred while campaigning in New Hampshire when he attempted to cast himself as a self-made man by claiming he built his fortune with just a 'small loan of a million dollars' from his father.
Not only has this statement been proven to be wildly untrue, he was so flippant about it. It truly disgusted me. Donald Trump has repeatedly demonstrated that he is unworthy of the honor and responsibility of being President of the United States of America, and in no way, shape or form represents what this country truly stands for. He is beneath us."

RE: Dead Torrents and Duplicates
I can't speak to the issue of deleting dead torrents. That question has merit, even if the time needed to execute it, doesn't.
As far as dead duplicates:
there would be a lot less "dead" torrents and/or duplicates if this was to be done.
The terms dead and duplicate are mutually exclusive.
According to the logic of the Uploading Rules an inactive (dead) torrent cannot be considered a duplicate, which is defined as an "existing torrent(s) which has the same format and similar size (<10% difference) and has at least one seeder." Dead torrents have no seeders.
So gaytorrent marking an upload as a duplicate based on a dead torrent is an issue of staff training, not of site policy.

RE: Video Editing Software
tried several yesterday and wasn't happy with any of them (all Linux) they are either TOO basic or so complicated
Kdenlive isn't too bad. They used to also have a Windows experimental build — due back, I guess, at the end of the year.

RE: Video Editing Software
I'm wondering what package would be best for needs like true effects and post-processing, filters, and things like that. I want powerful
The gold-standard for media editing software has long been Premiere Pro and Media Composer. Both of these are way beyond Nero in terms of what they do, but both are expensive. Premiere Pro does have a free trial but I think you'd do better to find a program from one of these two lists:
Any type of software offered with a general purpose license (GPL) should be tried first, as they are free to use.

RE: [Resolved] problem: redirected to malware page!
Hello i receive a message in my message box in this site to reseed a video.
If you mean the HideRef page which comes up just before the torrent page does, that's done to make the forwarding anonymous. However,
When i click on his username, the link redirects in a malware page
You shouldn't be asked to click on a username in response to a reseed request. If that's the case, I would delete the message.

RE: Married Conservative Politician Outed After Dating 17-Year-Old Boy.
Poor Michelle Yenni. As general manager of Chateau Golf & Country Club, she probably thought she'd landed a hole-in-one marrying Mike Yenni. Who knew her marriage would actually land in the green-side bunker.
