    • RE: US Supreme Court paves way for gay marriage in 13 states.

      Alaska, Nevada and Idaho all had their gay marriage bans struck down by various levels of federal courts, since the ruling in San Francisco.

      Unfortunately, anything after the US Supreme Court calendar announcement about a week ago, can still make it to the US Supreme Court so they will still be in play until next year about this time.

    • Scotland finally announces a date for gay marriages

      Starting on 31 December  2014, gay marriages can take place in Scotland.   HOWEVER,  you will need to register 15 days in advance (starting on 16 December 2014), the same with hetero marriage and civil partnerships.

      Anyone who wants to convert a civil partnership to a marriage without a ceremony can do this starting on 16 December 2014.  This is supposed to be free for the 1st year, but only if your civil partnership was dated on or before 15 December 2014.

      Depending on where you live, you may need to make an appointment.  This is true in larger areas.

      If you plan on doing it right way, call at least 1 week in advance to make sure they ordered and received the correct paperwork.

      It works out great, 16 December is my mom's birthday and she's a homophobe, so you know what my partner and I will be doing.  :cheers:

      @ajax0980:

      @groovedware:

      I would recommend first timers go for the fleshiest spot they can.

      Sitting may be uncomfortable for a bit!  :haha: :funny2:

      You may laugh but it's true.

      The most painful spots to get a tattoo is where there's the least flesh; ie spine, top of hands, top of feet, etc.  The 2nd worst are the areas that don't come into a lot of "outside" contact, such as the inside of your upper arm.

      Somewhere on the internet there's a great color chart that shows the tattoo pain levels.

    • RE: What's your favourite fairy tale?

      Scientology is the most evil.  It was born out of corruption and is the only major religion that you have to pay for to get "enlightenment".  It breaks up families and does horrible things to people that leave and/or disagree with them publicly.

      Mormonism is just a con man's made up religion.  It's basically the bible that we all know, but based in North America.  Polygamy wasn't in the religion until he got caught banging his best friend's wife.  Then he claimed the angel told him to be polygamous and everything was alright then.

      Islam, if you put it into chronological order, is basically Mohammed's desires.  It's pretty telling that the quran was changed and made into the shortest to longest verses, rather than the original chronology based text.  We could take any autobiography and convert it into a religion, as the muslims did.

      Judaism uses the Cain and Able story to separate themselves from the Canaanites which they were once part of.  It just goes downhill from there.  They were never slaves in Egypt.  They never wandered the desert.  They have an extremely bloodthirsty history, as well.

      Christianity is very strange.  Nothing except the stuff written by Paul is from the person it's claimed to be by.  Paul was a paid christian killer until he meets Jesus' ghost, then he decides to take over the religion which means eliminating a few more of the leaders.    Jesus know what the prophecies were and he made them happen.  As an example, when going into Jerusalem, he told his buddies to go steal a donkey and a purple robe for him because that's what the prophecy said.  There were 2 Bethlehems,  one in the north and one in the south.  For about the first 600 years, the Bethlehem in the north was Jesus' birthplace.  I don't know what exactly happened by now he was born in the southern Bethlehem.  The mosaic floor from the original church (the one in the north) marking his birth place is in the wall at Tel Aviv airport.

      Sadly, I'm not too clued in on the eastern religions and their beginnings.

    • RE: Circumcision

      @peterhotran:

      hey guys i need some advice

      im uncut, i suffer from phimosis( ive only been able to retract when soft, and cant not retract when hard), ive been using the betamethsone cream for two weeks,
      its  sort of working-ish. i was thinking if it doesn't improve should i get cut, or should i continue to use the cream???? has anyone tried the cream and if so how long??? and how effective????

      I haven't personally used it, but I know people that have and it worked for them.  Everyone is different though.  The cream works by, over time, loosening the structure of the skin (think tiny stretch marks).

      Have you done the stretching exercises to loosen it up?  My partner's dad had to get circumcised at 42'ish and was told that it was because he didn't use it enough to maintain the stretchiness.  My partner gts little micro tears if we go without sex for a while, but with regular sex he doesn't have a problem.

      Yeah, I log in for my daily reward and get my mining loot, then go play Destiny or Forza Horizon 2.

    • RE: US Supreme Court paves way for gay marriage in 13 states.

      Actually, there are studies that show that gay men are becoming less promiscuous in the last decade due to gay marriage.

      This article talks about one of the studies; http://www.gaystarnews.com/article/study-finds-us-gay-men-becoming-less-promiscuous050513

      Promiscuity does lead to more STDs than monogamy.  16 to 24yo's have the most sexual partners per year than any other age group.  They also have the highest rate of STDs.  55+ is the 2nd highest group for STDs.    People in the "marriage zone" (25 to 54) have the least STDs.

      I couldn't find any studies on gay marriage and STDs that weren't from hate groups, but I did find studies about hetero marriage.    Married heteros have 1/3rd the STD rate of non married heteros of the same age group.  Of course this includes things like HIV and Herpes which they could have gotten before they met their partner but didn't know it.

      Anyone playing this?

      My username is:  Keynes Alley

      I'm in the Spraygun clan/team

      For the most part, I like this better than the normal Forza games, because there's the open world to play around in.

      The mountain water color is really cool.  I especially like the tree in the front and the clouds.

      It's almost as if some sort of change is going on in the world. You have the traditional looking earth in the background and some mysterious thing coming in from the front and changing it.

    • RE: US Supreme Court paves way for gay marriage in 13 states.

      The constitutional crisis I was referring to is when different districts of the US Court of Appeals make opposing rulings.

      I don't think a State Supreme Court can have a different ruling, if the federal district they are in has already ruled, even if it's from another state in the district.

      On the good news side of things, the US Court of Appeals in San Francisco (9th district, covering 9 states) ruled in favor of marriage equality the day after the US supreme Court announcement that they rejected all 7 cases.   So that's now 4 district US Court of Appeals (4th, 7th, 9th and 10th) that has ruled in favor of marriage equality.    The ruling was already set, but out of courtesy, they waited until after the US Supreme Court decided on whether to act on the 7 pending cases or not.

    • US Supreme Court paves way for gay marriage in 13 states.

      The US Supreme Court has rejected all 7 cases on gay marriage that were pending appeal, without commenting on why.  This means that the last court decision{s} stands and in this instance, all 7 cases were decided in favor of equality.

      There could still be a US Court of Appeals that decides against equality in another district and that would force the Supreme Court to make a final ruling on gay marriage, by creating a constitutional crisis.

      Still less than half of the US has marriage equality.
