Finnish postal service to issue ‘Tom of Finland’ gay male erotica stamps

HELSINKI, Finland — The Finnish Postal Service, Itella, is preparing to release new sets of stamps in September 2014, including “male drawings by Tom of Finland” – a deceased Finnish artist notable for his homoerotic fetish art on late twentieth century gay culture, reports Finnbay.com.

Tom of Finland or Touko Laaksonen (May 8, 1920 – November 7, 1991) is one of the most popular Finnish artists in Finland, who focused on drawing stylized homoerotic fetish art. He produced over 3,500 illustrations, mostly featuring men with exaggerated primary and secondary sex traits with tight or partially removed clothing.

I played on and off for 7 years and finally left about 2 years ago because no one was around and it cost to much to play.

I'm enjoying it, but each person has their own tastes.

Most of the bugs seem to have been fixed.  The issue I mentioned earlier about server power seems to be solved for the most part.

There have been 4 or 5 mini patches so far and the much larger patch for going "live".  So it shows they are taking issues seriously.

‘My crayon gay cures are not nonsense,’ therapist tells C4 in lawsuit threat

Jerry Mugandze, a Texas-based neurotherapist who uses color therapy to 'expel gay demons', is considering suing the makers of Channel 4's documentary Cure Me, I'm Gay

A ‘therapist’ is threatening to sue after a UK documentary featured his theory that gay people can be ‘cured’ using crayons.

Jerry Mungadze, a Zimbabwe minister turned Texas neurotherapist, was featured in a Channel 4 film Cure Me I’m Gay.

In the show, gay British doctor Christian Jessen set out to experience ‘gay cure’ treatments offered around the world.

He meets with Mugandze, undercover, in order to experience his theory that children’s wax crayons could be the key in ‘curing’ homosexuality.

During the session, the therapist gave Jessen a picture of a brain and asks him to color it in.

‘Part of your pain is growing up like you don’t belong in your family, this is what the brown means,’ Mugandze said, as captured by the undercover cameras.

‘So this grey is seducing brown and brown starts agreeing whatever grey is, not knowing that grey is trying to steal your sexuality.’

Flummoxed, Jessen asked how coloring in a picture of a brain could possibly help ‘cure’ anything.

‘It seems that the therapy is analysing the different colors on my brain picture and then, over a number of sessions, working to change the colors until somehow I become heterosexual,’ the British doctor says.

‘As a medical doctor, I can’t see how you can learn anything about a patient’s hormones based on a colored-in picture. He’s just talking utter nonsense.’

Suprisingly, during the session Mugandze also admitted to being color-blind.

Mugandze now denies he is a ‘gay cure’ therapist and is consulting his lawyers after he received hate mail.

‘These people they are not going to hurt my business. I don’t work with them,’ he told Dallas Morning News.

‘I am not a gay therapist. I see all kinds of people all day long. These people for whatever reason are attacking me.’

He added: ‘My job is to heal people, not to teach them how to behave morally or spiritually. I don’t want to get side-tracked with that.

‘The people who want to come to me for help will always come. If I sue these people it will be to make sure they do responsible things, not because I want to prove something.’

While Mugandze said he was not a ‘gay conversion’ therapist, he stressed does not believe people are ‘born gay’.

‘If anyone says people are born this way, they would have a hard time convincing the scientific world of that,’ he said.

‘But I’ve never made homosexuality an issue in therapy.’

Gay Star News has asked Channel 4 and production company Optomen for a response.

The majority of mainstream health organizations are opposed to ‘gay cure’ therapies, describing it as dangerous for a person’s mental health.

I saw this show and some of the so called "cures" were insane, but all are totally legal.

Outrage, boycotts over Firefox’s new anti-gay CEO

Some internet users are boycotting Firefox after the company promoted a man who has donated to anti-gay causes to CEO.

Brendan Eich, formerly Mozilla’s chief technology officer and known as the 'father of Javascript', was announced as the man taking over the job yesterday (25 March).

Very soon after the announcement, it was revealed he had donated $1000 (€725) to support California’s anti-gay marriage Proposition 8 in 2008.

Hampton and Michael Catlin, a married gay couple who co-founded the software manufacturer Rarebit, have announced they are boycotting Firefox.

In a letter written on their website, they say:

‘Dear Mozilla,

‘As a married gay couple who are co-founders of this venture, we have chosen to boycott all Mozilla projects.

‘We will not develop apps or test styles on Firefox anymore.

‘Effective today, we’re removing Color Puzzle from the Firefox Marketplace and stopping work on all of our Firefox-related applications, notably the about-to-launch Firefox version of the popular Dictionary! app for iPhone and Android.

‘This is in protest of the appointment of Brendan Eich to the position of CEO of the Mozilla Foundation, where he had previously served as CTO.’

Adding: ‘But it’s because of our status as a minority that we simply can’t ignore this slap in the face of giving him a promotion to lead your organization.

The reason why it is so personal for the couple is because they are a binational couple, Michael is British and was saying in the country on a temporary visa.

Fortunately, they say, Prop 8 was overturned and the couple could marry. Michael could stay in the country and they were able to start a successful company together.

They are now boycotting Firefox until Eich denounces his donation in support of the anti-gay law, or until he leaves the company.

Unlike other companies like Google, Microsoft and Apple, Mozilla has remained mostly silent on gay issues and have refused to speak out in support for equal marriage.

The company also does not have any additional protections, stipulations or benefits for LGBTI workers not already required by California law.

I also have Sophos Anti-Virus home edition installed.  I have Avast Anti-Virus home edition downloaded but not installed.  Is one better than the other or should I get a different Anti-Virus altogether?  I use BitDefender on my PCs.

Windows has TuneUp Utilities.  Is there a similar program for Mac that I should get?

I noticed that the prices for Mac based software is a lot higher than for PC.

Italy: Bullied teen put into care for being gay

A bullied gay teenager in a small Italian town was put into care because of his sexuality.

According to the Il Messaggero website, the foster parents of the bullied 14-year-old were not sympathetic, and eventually put the teen back into care because of his sexuality.

The parents were quoted to have said: “It created too many problems – we can’t handle it, at school his classmates don’t accept it. Everyone says to us why do you bother?”

The teenager was put up for adoption, and back into care, because the parents did not wish to keep him on.
