      Now there is proof.

      Good work Adam in replying to all of these old threads.  In the words of Trump Jr, "I love it!"

      I wonder how the Russian lawyer plays into this.

      She is connected to the Russian oligarch-realestate developer known as the Donald Trump of Russia. Those billionaires take care of their own.

      @mhorndisk:

      I don't care if you believe this or not, I guarantee the authorities are focused on this report instead of what you are propagandizing:

      The files were not hacked by an outside agency or person, that would be impossible, and here is why the proof shows that they were copied from the inside, and it's focused on a new IT report:

      http://www.worldtribune.com/report-dnc-files-were-copied-not-hacked-5-days-before-murder-of-seth-rich/

      Even Hannity retracted the Seth Rich story. The only one pushing is Alex Jones, who thought 9/11 was a hoax and the Sandy Hook murders were staged to promote gun control.
      It says something about your own biases that you are willing to accept thinly-backed conspiracy theories without question, but dismiss out of hand the assessment of our own best experts, namely the intelligence community.

      @Frederick:

      What do you call it when Hillary - as Secretary of State - sold Russia 20% of the USA reserves of uranium.. in exchange for hundreds of millions of Russian donations to the crooked Clinton Foundation?    Or how about Bill Clinton accepting $5 million in campaign contributions from some Chinese guy?

      You really are desperate..

      I know facts are never important to you, but that whole uranium meme is not true
      :http://www.snopes.com/hillary-clinton-uranium-russia-deal/

      The Bill Clinton-Chinese connection was investigated by the Justice department and two congressional committees and found not to be true.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1996_United_States_campaign_finance_controversy

      But the incriminating evidence at hand came from Trump Jr. himself.  Who believes, that Donnie, who talks to his father every day and is one of his closest advisors, especially during the campaign did not breathlessly tell him that the Russian government supported his candidacy and was willing to provide the goods to help him get it done?
      Just wait for the net shoe to drop.

      Why don't you Trumpeters just admit that you were wrong about calling the Russian investigation "fake news" and a "hoax."  You chided us at every turn for "having no proof." Now, you want to write it off as normal politics.  Which was it?  Or i it just whatever is convenient for you at the time?

      @aadam101:

      Hillary Rodham Clinton is not the President of the United States.  She never will be.  She is not a threat to you any longer.  You don't have to be afraid of her anymore.  That is all.

      The problem is the Republicans and others of their ilk, do not know how to lead, but only resist.  They are such a disparate party, that they need a foil to stay together. Apparently Nancy Pelosi is not a big enough witch for them. That's why they continue to rehash the election.

      If Obama (or any Democrat) did this why would they wait until now to reveal it?  This would have been something to reveal last summer before the election.  This would have cost him the election.

      Obama and the democraps do things like that and FAR worse all the time, but the media choose to ignore it.

      What was ignored?

      Any candidate would gladly listen to damning evidence against their opponent, that's what you try to do all day long, regardless of where it comes from or who is giving it.

      I agree with you but why send Don Jr?  She must have had some credibility for him to be the person to take the meeting.  There are plenty of other people who could have done the dirty work.  I don't believe the  adoption story for a second.  He is lying about that.  Something else went on in that meeting.

      Not jus Don Jr, but Jared and Manefort.  Clearly they were looking for major dirt and planning how to use it.  But sorry, the source does matter.  And before it is mentioned, the DNC seeking information on Manefort from Ukraine is a false equivalency.  They were looking for information on what Manefort did while working in the Ukraine, not for information that foreign actors had collected in the United States on United States citizens.  Don should have called the FBI.

      Russians vs Russia state

      We know the hack came from Russia, but there is nothing proving it was by the state.

      I know Wikipedia is a weak source, but at the moment I don't have time to get a primary source, but:
      "According to various cybersecurity firms and U.S. government officials, Guccifer 2.0 is a persona that was created by Russian intelligence services to cover for their interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.[29][30]"

      Lat time I looked Russian Intelligence services were part of the Russian Government.

      Illegals had nukes via Obama.   They would have had nukes if Hillary won.

      What are talking about?  Iran?

      But that aside, the Russia meddling in our last election and their determination to continue its efforts in future elections is a bigger threat to our democracy than illegals ever will be.  Unless we get smart, it won't be long until they figure out how to change actual vote tallies.  At that point our elections become meaningless.

    • RE: PROOF TRUMP COLLUDED WITH RUSSIA

      Where did you learn that the DNC sis not cooperate with the FBI?  One of your favorite youtube channels?
      This is from Politifacts:

      http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2017/jul/11/donald-trump/did-john-podesta-deny-cia-and-fbi-access-dnc-serve/

      First, the American intelligence community (FBI, CIA, NSA and DNI) stated:  ""The recent disclosures of alleged hacked e-mails on sites like DCLeaks.com and WikiLeaks and by the Guccifer 2.0 online persona are consistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts,"
      Further:
      "n his testimony in January on the cyber attacks, then-director of the FBI James Comey said the agency never got access to the machines themselves, but obtained access to the forensics from a review of the system performed by CrowdStrike, a third-party cybersecurity firm."
      That may be the basis for your idea that the DNC did not cooperate.
      But
      "We got the forensics from the pros that they hired which – again, best practice is always to get access to the machines themselves, but this my folks tell me was an appropriate substitute," Comey said.
      In addition:
      "The DNC coordinated with the FBI and federal intelligence agencies and provided everything they requested, including copies of DNC servers," Watson said. She added that the copy contains the same information as the physical server.
      The FBI joined CrowdStrike’s efforts to boot Russia from the server, but then-Homeland Security Department secretary Jeh Johnson complained the DNC rebuffed their offer to help. This was because Russia was already out of their system by then.

      If you are referring to an earlier period in the summer of 2015, it has been reported that the FBI was calling an IT desk help phone line manned by a contractor, who did his own search and found nothing and left it there, without kicking it up the chain of command, not did the FBI contact any of the executive leadership of the DNC at that time

      I can understand denial of collusion, which is complicated, but to deny that we have proof that Russia hacked the DNC is like denying climate change.  Even Trump's intelligence leaders admit it freely.

      While you might be able to make an argument that DNC could have done more before the fact, both with protecting their servers and paying more attention to the low-level FBI warnings, they certainly cooperated sufficiently after the fact to determine who had carried out the cyberattacks.

      Even in a world of hypotheticals, if the DNC was partially responsible for not preventing the attacks, would that give the Trump campaign the right to weaponize the information by coordinating with the hackers in terms of content and timing of the release?  If the hacker were domestic, it would they would be considered to be part of a conspiravy.

      @raphjd:

      Well, if you want to whine about Russia, then the DNC should have cooperated with the FBI from the very beginning.  Instead, they thwarted the FBI investigation at every turn.

      The various Congressional hearings showed the DNC and Hillary were obstructionists.

      Blame the victim.  That's what rapists do–The DNC was asking for it by exposing their cyberasses.

      As for whining, to indulge in a bit of your favorite argument of "what if-ism," if Russia was found to have infiltrated the emails of any of the political parties in Great Britain and weaponized them to get their favorite party into power and the prime ministry, would you be "whining?"

      Even if you are an American citizen, it is easy for you to diminish the significance of this from across the pond.

      The lawyer was denied a visa to enter the US in Jan 2016, but later allowed to come in to meet with Trump Jr.

      You guys are a hoot.  Are you insinuating an Obama-sponsored, Democratic set-up to besmirch the Trump campaign?
      If so, why would the Democrats not blow the whistle before the election? This is a non-sensical effort to distract.

      @mhorndisk:

      I will respond to quell your thirst, but not because I am interested in a debate or further engaging in banter. It is just a statement and I will not say anything else about it, because it's just propaganda, and it's getting boring that you guys just believe this stuff without looking at both sides.

      The lawyer is not only too young to be involved in the kind of deep state rhetoric involved, it appears she was setting up Don Jr, because she is linked to the people who created the fake news about piss-gate. She also points the finger at Russia, so how could she be working for them? It doesn't make sense. That's all I'm going to say about it, you can take it how you want, you can investigate what I say, or you can thumbs me down, I don't care. We aren't going to believe it and it's getting really old. Don Jr has put all the emails out for everyone to see and been transparent. Hillary on the other hand, smashed the servers up with a hammer. Big difference.

      I know you don't want to engage in banter. I am not going to downvote you and you can continue to cling to your trust of the Trump family without responding. But whether the lawyer was connected to the Kremlin or no, whether she had or shared any political information or not, is all besides the point.  As a Catholic boy taught by nuns, I've been told the intention to sin is as good as committing it.  The most damaging part of the email chain is not that he took a meeting, but when he was  told that there was information being offered by the Russian government to support his father's candidacy, he said "I love it." That willingness to collude tells volumes.
      Even if this meeting was fruitless, are we to believe that as the summer progressed and information emerged that Russia was involved in the DNC hack, that Trump Jr would have stood idly by and let events play out without any intervention or participation?
      Your dedication is admirable, but there is more to come.

      Pence actually released a statement distancing himself from the scandal.  Quite different from his usual sycophancy:

      "The Vice President is working every day to advance the president's agenda, which is what the American people sent us here to do," press secretary Marc Lotter (Pence's spokesman) said in a statement.

      "The Vice President was not aware of the meeting. He is not focused on stories about the campaign, particularly stories about the time before he joined the ticket."
