On the µTorrent form people suggest that the error has it's cause from Internet Security / Ant Virus software and to remove all exceptions for µTorrent first, then to allow µTorrent connections.

Another suggestion there was to run µTorrent as administrator (right mouse click on the icon, then select that way to run it, instead a double click)

The first things to do are:

1/ Your µTorrent version. Don't use version 3.2.2 (beta) blocked by our tracker

2/ In µTorrent > Options > Setup Guide … > select the "Network" box and run the test. The result should be green, not orange or worse red. If not good, chech Firewall, UPnP and port forwarding settings

3/ Select a torrent from GayTorrent.ru in µTorrent, then look in the lower µTorrent window under the "Tracker" tab for the message behind the tracker announce URL. Usually it gives an idea of the issue. You can post it here, but not the tracker URL because it contains your secret passkey

Gay interest only, an openly gay actor or a minor gay character in a movie or TV episode are not enough . 
Do NOT upload any Gay Themed movie released to the mainstream cinemas or produced by a mainstream  studio / TV channel.

To notice the definition of Gay Themed,. "Mainstream" will be based on the success of a movie and the production studio. / channel.

Basically it will mean movies which are not in the gay niche and can be found on general sites will have no more place here, even if gay.

Look for the ~ms (mainstream) and ~ng (not gay themed) tags.

Actually you were pointing to that cause by all the detailed description about your port forwarding and firewall settings to work, but then saying:

The last IP change was some months ago. The URL for the site has changed at the same time so it is not effected by the hosts file, but the tracker URL didn't change. That made the site usable, but torrenting not working with the hosts file sleeping still modified from upon.

If you see the torrents still on the site, it will be different torrents to those you loaded. If the file type and size matches, you could try the reseed procedure to join the new torrents swarms. We got a pictured guide for µTorrent/BitTorrent in the Forum.

One possibility is that you've modified your "hosts"  entries from times were we had DNS issues and it was a quick fix. It was the case on one of my PCs.

To correct that with Windows Vista and 7:
1/ In the Start menu select Accessories > right click on Notepad and select to start as administrator
2/ In the Notepad select File > Open > navigate to C:/ > Windows > System32 > drivers > etc
3/ Select in Notepad to show all files bottom right instead .txt files only, open the hosts file you'll see

If you see entries for gaytorrent.ru and gtru.net, just put an # sign in front of them or delete those line.

Save the file, which will only possible if you opened notepad with right mouse click as administrator as said upstairs.

You should look under the "Tracker" tab while having a torrent being red selected for the tracker status message behind the tracker announce URL.

I would bet it says "unregistered torrent", because it is one of the thousands of torrents taken down following Pornguadrian DMCA Alerts.

Taking down torrents is not an easy task for the staff.

If the passkey is reset, the torrent needs to be re downloaded and opened with the torrent client programme (sometimes the download redirected to the files) to have the new passkey used by the torrent programme.

Are you using a proxy or VPN and did you pay it?
Is there a error message from the tracker?
Does it concern all files?

As torrent uploader will have noticed, all torrents are going live immediately since yesterday.

This means any uploader needs to make double sure to respect the rules before uploading a torrent. There is no more control by the Staff before going public.

DHT (Distributed Hash Table) is a system to exchange peer information without a tracker.

Even if enabled in your µTorrent, on torrents from private tracker like GayTorrent.ru , it shall say "not allowed". The same for peer exchange (PEX) and local peer discovery.

It would be helpful if you tell us which torrent you try to download, best with a link to the description page and during which time periods including your time zone GMT offset. That will enable us to take a look while you try to download.

Please select the torrent in µTorrent and then have a look under the Tracker tab: what message is indicated after the tracker announce URL? That gives some indication about the nature of the issue.
