    • RE: What to with DMCA'ed torrents?

      @AlexisB:

I received a DMCA Takedown message. So what do I have to do next? Do I need to stop seeding immediately? Or wait for the torrent to have an unregistered tracker status? If I need to wait, do I still earn upload points from seeding it?

To respond to your "what do I have to do next…" question...

If you receive a DMCA Takedown message, you will find that the torrent has ALREADY been REMOVED from the site, so there is absolutely no reason to do anything other than to STOP and DELETE the torrent from your torrent client program (uTorrent).

I'd personally advise you to note the content that was removed, and avoid uploading closely-related content in the future, to protect your account privileges, here…

    • RE: Why do completed torrents count as downloads?

This usually occurs because you chose to "skip" some portion of the torrent files, such as the pictures, etc.

In the way that torrent clients report back to a Torrent Tracker Server… the ENTIRE torrent contents {EVERYTHING} must be downloaded, in order for your downloads to move from "Leeching" to "Downloaded".

In YOUR case I see 3 torrents, which your Vuze program has apparently stopped downloading, at 99.87%, 99.93%, and 99.86%

Please stop the torrents, and force a recheck (which should clear up the false 100% you're seeing) and continue, and finish the downloading.

Vuze is a particularly difficult torrent program for our members, as evidenced by the sheer number of requests for help we receive from Vuze users.

We've got some forum topics just created for members who use Vuze, here:
      https://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=1974.0

      https://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=16166.0

My personal advice for choosing a torrent client is the classic version of uTorrent.

It's faster and more stable than all the later versions of uTorrent, and, by using uTorrent, you would be able to use our QTM program to automate any torrent uploads you might like to do, in the future!

Download the 2.2.1 build 25302 uTorrent install program from here

      (  http://www.oldapps.com/utorrent.php?old_utorrent=8134?download   )

Place the utorrent.exe file you downloaded anywhere.

      Run the utorrent.exe program file.

Accept the default setup, and Accept all defaults.
UNCHECK "Yes, I'd love to check out this free download" for "The Tunnel" movie, if this appears.
Click YES to approval for program install

This will install the older version of uTorrent, and it will take care of everything needed.

      Start uTorrent.

Go to the settings in Options / Preferences /  General and UNcheck the "Check for Updates Automatically" setting.

Set up your Columns.  I would suggest you activate certain columns in your torrent client, so as to keep a close eye on each torrent statistics, in the future. You can right-click in the column headings and choose additional columns to be able to view.

I personally recommend, from left to right, "Name", "Size", "Done", "Added on", "Status", "Completed", "Down Speed", "Up Speed", "Seeds", "Peers", "ETA", and Tracker" as essential information and sort-columns.

You activate these headings by right-clicking on the headings, and selecting and de-selecting your headings, as needed. You can also re-size the headings, by clicking and holding down on the right side of the heading, and dragging it a little bit to the left. You can change the order, simply by dragging the column heading left or right.

Success!!! You should be able to download videos from GayTorrent.ru now, without any problems.

Please PM me, if you have any questions about this procedure: https://www.gaytorrent.ru/sendmessage.php?receiver=135714

      Good luck,

Discussion on this topic is continued… here:  https://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=30201.0
        This topic is now locked.

…For what it's worth... here's the standard advice I've been sending members in the past, who have written in with ratio problems, and also have turned out to NOT be "Connectable" :  MANY members have followed this advice, and been able to resolve the issue. Have a look:

....The main problem I see is that you are currently shown as "NOT connectable"

Your µTorrent is reported as not connectible by our tracker. That means requests from other peers to get parts of the file don't reach it, and in YOUR case you only have a FEW torrents that are actively seeding, which all have DOZENS of other (connectable) members also seeding... so it's going to be rare that you actually get a request for data.

Did you already set up port forwarding on your DSL modem to match to match the port used by your uTorrent program?  If you're unsure how to configure the internal settings of your DSL modem, you may need to consult a computer technician, or have alook here: http://portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/Torrent/Torrentindex.htm

After you have established the port forwarding with your DSL Modem:

      a) Select the UPnP port forwarding and Windows firewall exception in µTorrent's connection settings. Then restart µTorrent.

      b) Reboot your modem/router (the box to connect to the internet)

You can test if your µTorrent is connectible there: µTorrent > Options > Setup Guide > select the "Network" test only and run it. The result should be a green check sign. If it is yellow/orange, your µTorrent is not connectible.

Visiting http://www.canyouseeme.org/ can also confirm the port you've chosen to forward, to confirm that it is actually open. This is a free utility for remotely verifying if a port is open or closed. It is useful to users who wish to verify port forwarding and check to see if a server is running or a firewall or ISP is blocking certain ports.

There are a good number of other possibilities making a torrent client not connectible, such as security software and the such…"

    • Frequent Question: Where Did My Seedpoints Go???

      Hi, our lovely members…

We frequently get questions in the HelpDesk about "Missing Seed Bonus Points"... such as this valid example: (gratitude to the member who asked this...)

"Yesterday I had about 177 bonus seed points, and today only 27. I have not used any to buy something (or I do it while sleeping) so I'm wondering what happened when passing to the 1st of december ? Where have these ~150 points gone? (head scratching)"

Well, after discussions with my clear-headed Team Leader here, I was able to formulate a reply that I think can answer a lot of these unanswered (seemingly strange) situation questions:

**"…you can lose Bonus Points (and maybe forget or not be aware of this) by the following methods...

      1. Granting awards (saying Thank You with a Bonus Point gift) to other member's uploads
      2. Making forum topics or topic replies that are deemed worthy of points-reduction by our forum moderators (ie deemed unworthy or in bad taste)
      3. Making a torrent freeleech (to share this gift with other members)

Then... the other problem is, that we don't really log member activities in these areas, so it's impossible for us to give you accurate statistical info on these possibilities.... to clarify your history for you."**

So… just saying, that it's important to remember that these three actions listed above, can directly affect your Seed Bonus Points.

    • RE: Seeding Bonus with Google Incognito?

:hug2:Yes, ratio points (via seeding) is strictly a result of your Torrent Client program (in your case, uTorrent) and it's communication with our Tracker Server…

It has NOTHING to do with your browser IFAIK.

It's important too, to remember not to stop your torrents, even when they are shown as being offline, because... when they become "online" again... this is when the torrent data (ie download and upload data count) gets reported to our tracker server, which in turn reports this to our website.

If you STOP your torrent, when the torrent is offline, it's most likely that ANY and ALL of the data statistics accumulated since the most recent successful (online) data info exchange... will be lost.

I have seen our Sysop give this advice for years (without explanation), and I'm pretty sure THIS explanation is exactly why he repeats this advice again and again...

And I pass it along... with explanation.

    • RE: Multiple Account Warning

      Dear thrasher,

A Senior Moderator has already removed the Warned Status from your account, and your account is in fine standing.

Thanks for writing in to explain this, and in the future, for serious issues like this, please feel free to write the Helpdesk directly.

To assist you in maintaining a good ratio into the future, here's some advice that may help:

========Advice for New Members; How To Maintain a Healthy Ratio========

A small donation can resolve your ratio problems quickly, while helping us cover the numerous expenses of continuing to host the GAYtorrent.ru site .

If you ever wish to earn upload credit for reseeding videos (where you already have the video on your hard drive), the illustrated procedure is here:
      https://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=6539.0

Rule of thumb: Seed, seed, seed; seed EVERYTHING you download, forever. This means DO NOT STOP your torrent nor torrent client, after downloading completes. KEEP IT RUNNING, so it can seed to the the next member who wants this video, and help improve your ratio, while doing so.

Keep a very close eye on your Ratio, since it will take considerably more time to UPLOAD than it did to download. I would suggest you activate certain columns in your torrent client, so as to keep a close eye on each torrent statistics, in the future. On most torrent programs, you can right-click in the column headings and choose additional columns to be able to view.

I personally recommend "Name", "Size", "Done", "Added on", "Status", "Completed", "Down Speed", "Up Speed", "Seeds", "Ratio", "Peers", "ETA", and Tracker" as essential information and sort-columns. On most torrent programs, you activate these headings by right-clicking on the headings, and selecting and de-selecting your headings, as needed. You can also re-size the headings, by clicking and holding down on the right side of the heading, and dragging it a little bit to the left.

Initially choose only new torrents to download that seem popular, to insure that you will have others downloading (from you, to raise your ratio) after you finish. Our site runs a bit different than other torrent sharing porn sites, because of the vast number of new torrents that get uploaded every day. This tends to make the "popularity" of new torrents be rather short-lived; thus you need to really choose VERY RECENT torrents to download, to share, when trying to repair your ratio.

Freeleech Torrents can be downloaded without affecting your ratio. Even with download rights taken away, you can download any freeleech torrent, as long as it stays freeleech: Torrents which are freeleech will give you whatever you upload added to your ratio… but the size of the movie wont be added to your download, which means that it will only be a positive effect on your ratio (or neutral, if you dont upload anything at all). Do note: if the freeleech timer runs out however, whatever's left on the torrent will be added to your ratio.

Here's the current list of freeleech torrents; They have NO negative effect on your ratio, as long as they remain free leech, however they do tend to have MANY seeders:
      https://www.gaytorrent.ru/browse.php?showsearch=1&infl=1

After you download, in order to earn upload credit (sharing) you must keep the torrents running, keep your torrent client program running, and your computer turned on and connected to the internet, preferably ALL the time, if at all possible.

You can also perform many tasks here on the board in order to earn Bonus Points, which can be traded in for Upload credit to improve your ratio.

If you click on your Ratio: ( https://www.gaytorrent.ru/rationator.php ) you will see this detailed explanation on how your Ratio is maintained, and how to earn Bonus Points.

      Read the Rules ( https://www.gaytorrent.ru/rules.php ) , and Read the FAQs ( https://www.gaytorrent.ru/faq.php )

    • QTM (Quick Torrent Maker) Installation, Advice, Known Issues UPDATED Dec. 01, 2021

QTM is designed to work with uTorrent; We recommend "uTorrent Classic"
…If you don't yet have uTorrent installed, please go HERE

First, Downloading and Installing QTM Successfully:

BEFORE you download and install the most recent version of QTM, you MUST uninstall the OLD version first. In Windows, click on your Start icon, go to the programs group (click All Programs) and scroll to the QuickTorrentMaker folder. Click on the folder icon to expand it, then click on the "uninstall" selection. When asked "Do you really want to uninstall QuickTorrentMaker?" click the "Yes" button, to confirm, and click "Yes" on any following confirmation messages.

NOTE that the graphics below refer to QTM version 1.11, but should (in essence) be IDENTICAL to version 1.14

      Next, {see antivirus notice below} download the QTM installer program from the Main QTM page, {click here}
Click on the button at the bottom of the page.

If you're having problems downloading the QuickTorrentMaker_1.14.exe program (probably due to protection software on your PC) this should work for you. I've provided an alternative location, from which to download a compressed version of the program.

The file is compressed in RAR format, so you'll need WinRar or similar program to to unzip this file into the original 2,102KB file size   QuickTorrentMaker_1.14.exe

Please click on this next link to start the download of QuickTorrentMaker_1.14.rar: https://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?action=downloads;sa=downfile&id=53

Download it into your usual Window Download folder.

Once it's downloaded, use WinRar to unzip the original QuickTorrentMaker_1.14.exe program, into your Windows Download folder.

Next, follow the installation instructions below, for a successful installation:

If Windows Defender blocks the install, just click on "More Info" and tell it to install anyway!
Please disable your antivirus program during the download and install of QTM.  QTM may set off antivirus warning flags (stupidly) because the QTM program has the function of having you sign in to your membership account here, and enter your password, in order to be a secure program for you and the GayTorrent.ru site. BUT that action is viewed incorrectly as a security breech by some antivirus programs, and thus the download or install of QTM may be blocked, as a result. We can guarantee 100% that there is NO "bad infected program" inside QTM.

When asked "Would you like to save this file?" Click the "Save File" button. Choose a place to save it that you can remember, such as your "Downloads" folder.

Find the "QuickTorrentMaker_1.14.exe" installer program you just downloaded, and doubleclick it to start it running.
If Windows Defender blocks the install, just click on "More Info" and tell it to install anyway!
Click Yes on any Windows confirmation window that pops up.

      Next, pops up:

Note the program locations for both QuickTorrentMaker AND uTorrent:

Since (to the best of my knowledge) QuickTorrentMaker is a 32 Bit program, it should be located in:
      C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTorrentMaker

If not sure where your uTorrent program resides, find your uTorrent program icon, do a right click, and choose properties… and look at "Target:"

      In my 32 bit windows, it's C:\Program Files\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe

On 64 Bit windows computers it is possibly the SAME as above (for 64 Bit versions of uTorrent), or:
      C:\Program Files (x86)\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe
for 32 Bit versions of uTorrent.

Note: DON'T include the quotation marks that you'll see in the uTorrent Properties window.

These default settings above should work fine, assuming your Windows and uTorrent program is configured in standardized fashion. Make changes only if necessary, then click the "Install" button

You SHOULD get this pop up window:

      Click the OK button.

To finish the installation, you need to start the program the first time, and save your user name and password, so subsequent QTM starts are simple one button clicks.

Click on your Windows Start icon, go to the programs group (click All Programs) and scroll to the QuickTorrentMaker folder. Click on the folder icon to expand it, then click on the "QuickTorrentMaker" selection.

On Windows 10, click on the Windows Logo icon (or press the Windows key) and at the top, under "Recently Added" is the GTRU QuickTorrentMaker icon. RIGHT CLICK on this button and choose: "Pin to Start". RIGHT CLICK on the button again, choose "More" and click on "Pin to taskbar". These actions should make QTM easier to find, for your next upload!

NOW click on the GT.ru Icon button, to start QuickTorrentMaker.  :cheesy2:

      THIS window should pop up:

Click the down arrowhead in the "Choose Site" and select "gaytorrent.ru"

Click in the "Login" selection, and type in your member name.

Click in the "Password" selection and carefully enter your password.

Lastly, CHECK the " [[u]✓] Remember Login/Password" checkbox, so you never have to do this another time.

NOW it should look like THIS:

Note that it MAY take as many as THREE attempts to log in to QTM, before QTM finally accepts you.

Click the "Login" button… and SUCCESS!!! You SHOULD see this:

Now, you can refer to the QTM Tutorial –click here-- for further instructions on using QTM.

Note that the next time you start QTM, ALL the site/member name/password information will already filled in for you. You'll only need to click the "Login" button.

      –----------------------------Additional Notes----------------------------------------------------------
YOUR VIDEO FILES AND FOLDER NAMES MUST NOT CONTAIN CHARACTERS SUCH AS:
      pipes, colons, and apostrophes.
Please RENAME your files and folders to exclude these characters if necessary.

      –-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE that in QTM, when you click on Category, there's supposed to be a dropdown list of categories.

NOTE: YOU CANNOT click into the middle of the box and try to type in the category, but you HAVE to click on the arrow on the right side. The functionality to just type them in wasn’t built into the software.

Otherwise, if it's blank, exit the program, then go to your antivirus (etc.) software, and include the "QuickTorrentMaker.exe" program in the list of ignored programs.

I did that, and got the category dropdown list to show again.
      –-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some members have written the helpdesk, reporting:

when I try to upload a file using QTM I keep getting an error that says "Unable to load qtm.torrent: torrent is not valid bencoding!"

      ~or~

"I tried to create new torrent by QuickTorrent Maker v.1.14, but unsuccessfully.
Torrent file says "torrent has no hash parts".

To fix this issue, you need to take the special characters out of ALL of the file-names, by RENAMING the FILES.

ALL file-name characters must be normal ASCII characters, WESTERN ENGLISH FONT.
This error occurs when there is an unsupported character in one or more of the filenames in the torrent's contents. Generally, the most common character is the apostrophe. Please ensure that there are only regular letters or numbers, dots, spaces, or dashes in the filenames of all of the files in the torrent. Once that is done, try creating the .torrent file again and uploading the torrent again. The new upload should work once these characters are removed.
      –-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: You may have to try as many as 3 times for QTM to accept your login…

Also, your password is case-dependent; make sure your shift lock is not on…

You can test your memory of your password by logging off the main site, then logging back in, but this time, typing in your password manually.

If you need to recover your password from outside the site (IE logged off and can't remember your password), you can go to this link:
      https://www.gaytorrent.ru/lostpassword.php

… if all else fails, and you can't seem to log back into the site, you can always send an email to:
      [email protected]
      –-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NEVER click the minimize button on QTM, or you will lose the "Upload" button.

You can click on Windows XP "Show Desktop" icon, (or in Vista or Windows 7 or 10, bottom right rectangle of the task bar) to minimize ALL icons, if you need to minimize QTM.

If you accidentally DO forget and minimize QTM, thus losing the "Upload" button, here's the trick to land on the hidden "Upload" button, when you're ready to upload:

      1. Click the mouse one time inside the "Displayed Name" field, then
      2. Hit the TAB key three times, then
      3. Hit enter.
        –-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In addition, I'd like to add that QTM has occasionally been reported to have issues when working with large collections; it can have some problems making a correct .torrent file. So, you should probably use the web-based manual upload method, if you run into problems using QTM for uploading your collection.

If you click on the word "Upload" on the blue bar, you will be taken to the Upload area…

There is an excellent illustrated upload guide there:  https://www.gaytorrent.ru/uploadguide.php

I would suggest you study that guide first, before attempting the Web-Based upload procedure, here:
      https://www.gaytorrent.ru/doupload.php

Note that the 4 things members seem to goof up the most when uploading their own torrent is…

      1. insuring that the video you want to upload is located in the same folder you normally DOWNLOAD your porn to, on your hard drive, and you should create your torrent file referencing THIS file, in THIS location!!!

      2. remembering to enter the tracker URL as:       http://tracker.gaytorrent.ru:2710/announce
when you create the torrent file, and

      3. remembering to re-download your (modified) torrent file, AFTER you upload it. You must re-download the tiny .torrent file from your uploaded torrent presentation, in order to be able to seed it.

      4. Remember that with THIS picture loader… the FIRST picture uploaded is the LAST picture displayed, in your torrent presentation.

...this all gets explained pretty well, in that illustrated guide I mentioned above.

Don't forget to re-download your torrent, after you finish the above steps!

      –-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If, upon selecting the file name of the video file you happen to see a ? (question mark) appear in the file name… STOP.

THEN, using Windows Explorer, while using the English-Language-Keyboard, go back to the folder with the video file, and RENAME the file. (Right-click the file name and select "Rename").

Non-Standard characters in the file name will cause unpredictable results and certain failure, when uploading.

Identifying NON-Standard File name characters can be a bit tricky, because there are SOME NON-Standard characters that LOOK and APPEAR standard, but in fact are from a Foreign Language font, and not supported by QTM.

AFTER you finish the renaming of the video file (using the English-Language-Keyboard to rename the file) then go BACK to QTM and select the renamed file.

NO ? question marks should appear in the file name, before continuing. Thanks to member LEVI for pointing this issue out!  😄
      –-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Final notes regarding using QTM, learned from my own personal experience (and problems) while using it...

Before you start uploading your torrent with QTM, I'd advise you to STOP all your torrents in uTorrent, yet keep uTorrent running. This will insure a successful (automatic) re-download of the torrent, without uTorrent being too bogged down with it's own data processing, nor there being an overload of Internet traffic occurring, during your torrent upload, via QTM...

In addition, there should be a "hands off the keyboard / NO Internet browsing" policy in place while QTM is performing its uploading, since this is a very data-intensive process between your computer and our website. This will minimize the chance of data loss during the uploading of picture and torrent data, over the Internet. I also shut down secondary Laptops and Mobile connections, during this process, too.

      Compatibility issues with uTorrent 3.4.2 build 38656 (or current beta versions) is an issue of these versions of uTorrent being incompatible with many earlier standardized Torrent creation programs, and legacy folder structures and is addressed in greater detail here: https://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=22654.0 {click here}

If you have any questions, comments and/or additional notes you feel should be added to this list, please add a reply to this topic.  :cool2:

    • RE: 10 Photo Limit After Publish

      Hi, Hadmatter!

Yes, I know, the first time you hit this wall it can be a shock.  :afr:

      Rules of thumb:

Uploading with QTM allows MANY MANY dozens and dozens of pictures to be uploaded, during this original upload.

AFTER uploading… {editing} torrents are stuck at a maximum of 10 pictures.

The ONLY way you could resolve this would be to delete your torrent, and upload again, using QTM, and plan your pictures carefully.

Do you know how to delete your torrent? You only have 7 days from the upload to delete it.

      Take care,
      Pawpcorn
