How to abort the IRC message scroll?
-
On the home page, there's a box near the top with the latest 50 or so IRC posts. They slowly scroll through. If I click on Search or Browse, nothing happens until the IRC messages have finished scrolling and it tells me how many are signed up, or something like that. Only then do I go to Search. Is there a way to abort the message scrolling and go immediately to Search? Or a setting to not see the IRC messages at all?
Windows 7, IE 10, if it matters.

From the sounds of things, it would appear that the problem may be that Internet Explorer (in my personal opinion) is a complete piece of garbage that should never have continued to be developped. My suggestion is to try using another browser such as Firefox or Chrome to test to see if this is something that happens solely in Internet Explorer, or if this is something that is system wide.
Also, on that note…. There is a compatability mode for Internet Explorer. Have you tried loading the page in compatability mode to ensure that it will work successfully?

Compatibility mode does appear to deal with the IRC problem, but it also makes a lot of other stuff not work. So that's not a solution.
Well, it appears site revisions don't get tested on IE at all. If so, at least I'll know not to raise these issues again.
Maybe the problem will go away when the snowflakes stop. It did work fine before. Anyway, thanks for the response.

Dear eboris, (and anyone else who wants this)
If you want me to eliminate the chat window altogether, please send me a PM, requesting that you want the chat window removed,
via: https://www.gaytorrent.ru/sendmessage.php?receiver=135714Note that this request, once fulfilled, will eliminate the chat window from all site windows, and will remain off (unless you change your mind, and PM me back later, requesting that I turn the chat window back on again ^-^
Take care, :hug2:

On that note, you can also submit a helpdesk request asking for this as well. If you decide that you would like to have this option turned back on, the helpdesk can also assist you with this.
