Generally speaking, yes… This is correct.
If you get a mod like me however, and I happen to stumble across your post, I will also do it by forum request, but not all mods will do it out of the forum.

The original uploader is only notified of Reseed Requests if their torrent client has reported that it has downloaded it in full from the tracker. Whether this has happened or not will depend entirely on whether you seeded the torrent correctly in the first place. If you did, then you would not be notified. If however the original uploader registered with the tracker as a leecher, then their name would be added to the list, and as long as they are not #121 or higher on that list AND their account is still active, they would then get a notice also.
Or just abandon Windows all together like I did and switch to Ubuntu…. It's free
I've started changing everything over to Kodi on the most part now. I find in Linux (at least with my hardware configuration), it usually plays most videos flawlessly. There's the odd video that it doesn't like, but as long as it's not WMV format, VLC takes care of it quite nicely.
One thing I will say is that anything that is Windows 10 based needs to be gone over with a fine toothed comb. There is actually a keylogger built into it, among a number of creepy spy things that are enabled by Microsoft by default. This ranges anywhere from WiFi password sharing, to exchange of personal information. It's really creepy what they collect by default.
Also, no matter what virus software that you are using, I am a huge advocate of also running Spy Bot Search & Destroy from safer-networking.org as it looks for different kinds of threats to your computer that most ordinary virus software does now, however it does not get the kind of stuff that most antivirus software does. This is why I recommend using it in addition to a virus software.
I see that you have a good upload speed…
I'm about to help you by going through the torrents that you have in your profile and putting 156 hours on some of them (mostly the unpopular ones). This should help you to get that in check a little faster, as it usually brings a lot of traffic to these torrents. Please check your downloaded torrent list carefully.
Yes… We had a server outage. The specifics on what broke or how is not currently known to the staff as of yet, however we did experience a server outage due to something breaking.
I think the problem is that you're using Windows XP, which doesn't have the greatest of UTF-8 support, and instead, forces the Windows-ISO character set encoding, which does not support this character. It is the little triangular arrows that are most commonly associated with a recycling bin logo. In your case, your system seems to display this as an unknown character with the generic code box, rather than the proper character.
It was actually someone else who made them freeleech, but only because I sent them the link and asked if they could spare some points.
As for making those torrents freeleech, I will see what I can do.
Well…if you're really in a giving mood, I've also got a list of uploads--longer and many of them much older, and I'd also really appreciate some of that love!
Certainly… I will look into it now for you.
As for making those torrents freeleech, I will see what I can do.
We have a bit of a series of guidelines for refreshing torrents. As a general rule, if promoting based on age alone, the general standard is 12 months…
But... In a case where a torrent only has 1 - 2 seeders, this can sometimes be qualified at 6 months.
If a torrent is dead, generally speaking, that can qualify it if trying to bring the torrent back to life, but in some cases, these torrents will be made freeleech instead.
In a case where a torrent is more than 12 months old, but it has 10 or more seeders, this will generally require that the torrent is 24 - 36 months before it can qualify to be refreshed.
Lastly, in some cases, the torrent being older than 48 months, it can qualify for refresh. This is practice is most common when duplicate uploads occur.
See the edit to my previous post.
I shall take a look. Check your PM's in a few moments… I will see what may qualify for refreshing. There are certain criteria that torrents must meet in order to be refreshed.
EDIT: Correction… I just took a quick look at your torrent history, and none of your uploads are old enough yet to qualify for refresh, unless they should go dead. That being said however, they do qualify for (and can possibly be nominated for) freeleech status to help make them a little more popular.
Any of the torrent mods or the upper mods should be able to do this for you….
I am one such mod who has that power.
It is something that a mod needs to do…
I would encourage you to check out the "Search" tab at the top of the page. It may help you find what you're looking for a little faster.
As far as I've ever been aware, you're supposed to receive a PM from the system to advise you when someone leaves SBP on one of your torrents. I'm not sure why exactly it is that you're not getting these notices.
I'm not sure that I can think of anything that fits the bill off the top of my head.
I think this is the same problem with a lot of users.
