I personally use PrivateVPN. It would seem that recently, there are sometimes intermittent issues with some of their server locations being able to reach our website, however I know that Frankfurt, Germany 1; London, UK 2; Oslo, Norway; and I believe also Kiev, Ukraine are all locations that have port forwarding enabled that will allow you to connect to our site and tracker no problem, and will allow you to have the correct ports open, as long as you're using UDP + TAP for these locations.

RE: Server isn't Responding when Logging into gaytorrent.
I'm not sure if it's related or not, but recently, depending on what country I use for my VPN, I cannot establish communications with the server. If I set the VPN to the right country on the other hand, I can connect just fine. I wonder if these two issues are related.

RE: Can't download - still finding peers
I believe the problem has to do with your ISP and the way that they run things. I think you will find that if you use a VPN to override your ISP's blocks that they have in place, your problem should go away.
I have been able to confirm this with a few other cases of this with other users who are using the same ISP that you're on. Simply put, it would seem that your ISP either does not cooperate with our tracker, or that your ISP has some sort of block in place that is preventing you from reaching the tracker. Although I do not know the exact technical cause, it would appear there is either a routing block or a routing problem between your ISP and our systems.
I would be inclined to recommend the use of a VPN not just for privacy reasons, but also to ensure that you are not caught behind routing blocks that I am certain your ISP puts into place for whatever the reason.
EDIT: Come to think of it, I recall trying to troubleshoot the very same issue with a couple of different people who use the same ISP as you do and determined that there seems to be an intermittent routing issue to certain IP subnets (one of which our tracker falls into). As I recall, filing a trouble ticket with your ISP eventually solved the problem, but it was a long, complex, and drawn out process, and the problem reappeared again within a week or two. So… For this reason, I would suggest a VPN.

RE: Do I need to be logged in (uploading)
The official answer: You only need to be logged in to submit the .torrent file to upload the torrent to the tracker, as well as to download the .torrent file you need to seed the upload. Once you have downloaded the .torrent file for your torrent program to seed/leech with, whether you are logged in or not makes absolutely no difference.

RE: Is there a way to merge 2 torrent with same files but different source?
hum there shouldn't be 2 torrents with same content in the first place IMO hence the reward for duplicate torrents.
I think what he's referring to is if for example he downloaded a torrent from another site, then found that torrent here (or vice-versa). And yes… This is called the re-seed process. It is explained in our upload guide, starting at step 4 where it talks about downloading the .torrent file that you need to seed the actual content with.
As for doing this with two different files on here, this is also possible using the same process. If for example, you're seeding a duplicate torrent (or you uploaded an identical duplicate), you can switch to the original with this process as well.

RE: Asian Torrents… any subcategories?
Perhaps we could improve the sub-category and searching so that if you search Asian and Bareback, torrents that are tagged in some manner with both categories would come up?
Also, possibly make it so that the edit page also allows you to add, remove, or change sub-categories.

RE: Is it Curtains for Gay-Torrents.org?
It just goes to show that copyright trolls will stop at nothing to try to extort money from the people… It makes me very glad that I take a higher level of anonymity on the internet these days.

RE: Need to choose privacy plan on my Windows PC
About the only other thing that I could suggest would be something similar to what I have setup. If you have another machine, or if you get a little NAS box, you can leave all the adult content stored on the NAS across the network. This ensures that local file browsing will turn up nothing, as all the content would be stored on the NAS itself, rather than your computer locally.

RE: Reseed request?
Normally, you make a reseed request by pressing the request reseed button on the torrent information page. I have gone ahead and done this for you. As well, I have promoted the torrent in hopes that it may draw some more attention to the torrent for you.

RE: Need Advice on Seedbox Services (or other options)
Seedboxes are by far the best… They'll completely avoid your ISP's throttle.
If your ISP is throttling because of their policies on P2P traffic, there is a way to avoid that. A VPN such as PrivateVPN is a good way to bypass ISP throttling when it's detected to be P2P traffic. This will also keep your internet secure from prying eyes and help to keep you anonymous on the internet in general.
The other thing I thought I'd mention is that I see that not many of the torrents in your profile have many seeders, and virtually no leechers. To help build these torrents up, I will freeleech the ones that I see that are in the most desperate need for 156 hours. This will encourage people to download them, which will help to give you upload traffic if you begin seeding these torrents again.

RE: Stuck on "Finding peers" couldn't find solution in other topics
The most common cause of this is that your ISP's DNS servers are not resolving the IP address for the tracker for some reason. This seems to be a common problem. There are 2 ways that you can fix this:
-
Change your computer or network's DNS settings to use Google DNS by using 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as the DNS servers.
-
Modify your computer's hosts file by adding two lines. If you're unsure of how to change your hosts file, I would encourage you to check out this comprehensive guide. The two lines you want to add should read as follows:
77.247.179.58 tracker.gaytorrent.ru
77.247.179.58 tracker.gaytorrent.twOnce these lines are added, you should be able to resolve the tracker's IP, without the need for a DNS lookup. This method will work, regardless of what DNS servers you're using.

RE: Is this client banned from the site? New STREAM client called WebTorrent
We used to have a list of banned clients somewhere, but I'm not sure where that list has gone.
I do not recall this torrent client being on that list, so you should be safe.

RE: Ratio hasnt changed
I see that you have indeed uploaded a torrent, and that it has taken off well, so I've sent you a little SBP reward to help get you out of low ratio status.
Once you cash in the points, there may be a delay of up to 15 minutes before the system will restore your download rights. This is normal, so don't panic if it isn't quite an "instant" process to get your download rights back.

RE: Question: Giving seedbonus to freeleech torrents
I hate to be the Negative Nancy here, but I just thought I would point something out… More recently, you may have noticed times when we had pages and pages of freeleech torrents available, which has dwindled down a little. I will be honest when I say a lot of these torrents have been me. The majority of them were torrents that I've been trying to revive, and I'll admit, I've also thrown in little goodies here and there for various reasons.
This being said, I do agree that an incentive to regular (non staff) users would help to entice people to spend some to potentially get some.

RE: Request re-seed button not active

Yeah… On that note, I have a question for you on that topic. I shall PM it and discuss it further.

RE: Uploaded Not Change When Seeding Complete 100%
I am working on the Helpdesk request for this now. Due to the sensitivity of what needs to be discussed, I will leave my reply in the helpdesk shortly. I can give general information here, but in your case, this will require discussing information specific to you and your connection that would be best left discussed in private.

RE: Is it still safe to use torrent ?
VPN VPN VPN. It's a digital condom for torrents.
I use PrivateInternetAccess.
I agree with the use of a VPN to ensure your privacy and anonymity on the internet, however based on my personal experience, IMHO, I do not recommend the use of PIA. Granted, they do work for some users in some cases, however for my personal preference, there are some things about PIA that I can honestly say are not for me. My really horrific customer service experience that ended with an escalation to my lawyer is one of the reasons that I say that based on my experience, I would not recommend them.
That being said though, I do have a fair bit of experience in working with PrivateVPN, including working with their customer service and I have never been anything but 100% satisfied with them. To be fair, I will acknowledge that there are some things about PrivateVPN that may make it not the right fit for some users, however in my experience, I can say that they are the right VPN for me.

RE: Request re-seed button not active
That torrent has no completed downloads, that is why the reseed request button isn't active.
(Further the shared file's content is on our banned list, so I've now removed that torrent)
Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought when the torrent had no snatch list at all that it would look like it goes through the reseed process, but instead it comes up saying "Reseed Failed - 0 PM's sent"… Or is this only on torrents with a snatch count but no snatch list?

RE: Is server or something down? Anyone can download something?
We are not aware of any issues with the tracker currently. If you are unable to connect only to the tracker, this may be the result of a DNS problem. Some DNS providers for some reason do not like to resolve the IP address of the tracker. There are two ways that you can overcome this.
-
Use Google DNS by using 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as your DNS servers. After changing the DNS, this may require that you either reboot your computer, or that you open an elevated command prompt and run the command "ipconfig /flushdns" (without the quotes).
-
Modify your computer's hosts file by adding two lines to your hosts file. This will allow your computer to resolve the IP address of the tracker, without the need for a DNS lookup. Simply add the following 2 lines to your hosts file:
77.247.179.58 tracker.gaytorrent.ru
77.247.179.58 tracker.gaytorrent.twIf you're unsure of how to modify your computer's hosts file, I would encourage you to check out this comprehensive guide
