Picture uploads are subject to availability. If someone has already uploaded 10 or more pictures to a torrent, even though they have not been approved, they take away from the availability of other users to upload more torrents.

More than likely, these torrents that have no pictures that you cannot upload more pictures to already have at least 10 pictures uploaded to the torrents, which are likely still pending approval.

Check your settings… Form the sounds of it, your Chrome is setup to clear browsing data on exit. This would explain why you need to login again every time you restart your browser, even if it hasn't been 6 or 8 hours (whichever it is) yet.

Using a Debian with GNOME/KDE/etc is not a challenge at all. For me it turned to be a real problem that software I need for my job is nowhere to be found for linux. E.g. After effects can't be run even under WINE, I'm not even talking about it's plugins. So using Windows is just a necessity. Mac could be the solving but customization there is a problem.

Haha… You've never used one of two strategies that I've used in situations like that. For one of the projects that I work with, it's either Dreamweaver, or nothing... So... I've installed a Virtual Machine within my Ubuntu installation that literally full on loads Windows 7 inside of Ubuntu. For this particular situation, problem solved.

For the recording equipment on the other hand, I have yet to find a working driver for my VHS import gadget for example. So... On that machine, I've installed a dual-boot situation. This way, I can leave the computer primarily in Ubuntu, and when I need to make use of that particular hardware, which simply will NOT run in a kernel newer than 3.8.0-26-generic (which BTW has been discontinued as obsolete and isn't available past Ubuntu 12.04, and I'm now at 16.04).... It's a bit complex, but it accomplishes the mission at hand.

Typically when I find torrents that are more than 12 months old and have few seeders, I'll request re-seed if possible, then put a 156 hour freeleech on it, and in some cases, even promote it back to the top of the list. I'm always looking for torrents to do this with.

No… If it were a DNS issue, he woud be getting ERR_DNS_PROBE(NXDOMAIN) or something along those lines...

Connection Aborted sounds like a routing blockade set by the ISP or local government to me. A VPN would help with that though.

My laptop has the smallest of all my hard drives, coming in at a mere 500 GB…

From there, I have three different 5 TB drives in the basement of the house about 200 feet away from the trailer, all attached to the server that doubles as a file share host, allowing me to access all of the content through the single underground network line that links my trailer into the main network guts in the house. It's particularly handy because it leaves all the bulky equipment in the basement of the house, where it never gets seen on the most part, but still leaves it accessible to the laptop or the TV in the trailer through the network. :cool2:

I have two more locations where I have storage. One of them has two 2 TB drives, and the other has a 5 TB drive and a 1 TB drive.

All of my different networked locations are all accessible to one another through the internet. The slowest location in the series is here at the trailer where I am now, and that's largely because I only have oldshool pre-Y2K legacy COPPER based ADSL2 that I have to bond together with MLPPP to be able to get a reasonable speed.

I prefer hosting eveything internally on my own backbone.

It's more expensive, but it's also a means to ensure that I am in complete possession of all the content.

I don't quite think you keep on top of the freeleech torrents all the time. A lot of the time you will find gems for different niche markets in the freeleech section. I put them there on a regular basis to keep users on their toes, and to help revive torrents. At some point or another, there is a little something for everyone in freeleech.

During the time that the torrent is on freeleech, anyone can download it, without it counting towards their download totals. Also, users who have had their download rights suspended due to low ratio will still be able to download the torrent, as long as it is the only torrent that they are downloading.

And the answer to our mystery is….. The URL format

If you open that torrent with THAT URL, which by the way is the "standard" format, it should work no problem. I tested it with the URL format you listed and the standard URL format, and it works just fine, as long as the standard format is used.

How did you manage to get the URL in that format through the site? It looks more like a URL result from a Google search, rather than the standard format for the URL. This confuses me…

Yes… The points are awarded to the uploader upon approval of their submitted pictures. Depending on the availability of mods, this can take some time.

I didn't know if this was directed at me.  If it was directed at me, yes, I received a low ratio warning.  I always try to be a responsible downloader and will always seed more than I can.  In fact, in my uTorrent program I have it set to prioritize seeding and to seed up to x5 times before I start throttling any more downloading.  I actually thought I was doing the right thing by aggressively targeting new files to seed, since the old files weren't getting me anywhere (and that means intentionally taking an immediate hit of downloading a popular file so I can immediately start seeding it).  If I just wait for my existing files to seed, then … that might take who knows how long?  I know I download files that aren't that popular, so waiting for those files to be leeched by other users might never happen when I would rather help seed immediately-desired torrents.  Hope that makes sense.  I really wouldn't want anyone to think I'm trying to freeleech without responsibly sharing any content back!  As I mentioned in my original post, I make it a point to seed.  And with another popular gay torrent website, I have an x2 ratio on a far larger amount of uploading / downloading and I've never had an issue with my ratio which is why I was so puzzled with my experience on GT.ru.

With that said, I'm proud to announce that in the past week, since opening my ports, I've lifted my ratio from 0.780 to 0.816 and I'll continue to lift it as high as possible.

I disagree. if you dl freeleech you can get good ratio look at mine, it's fine. Last month I got a ratio of 118 on Guys go crazy torrent that was on freeleech . I got hundred of Go out of it

I would be inclined to disagree as well. I have seen users do very wonderful things with their ratio with a little freeleech help. I can't help but get the impression from your posts that you would rather just leech everything for free, and never share anything back to the community.

I'm not sure about in the USA, but in Canada, most public health offices will either have the testing available on site, or will have clinics setup for such a purpose. Most of the clinics that are separate from your public health unit will usually offer anonymous testing. If anonymous testing is available, I would recommend it for a few reasons. The biggest of all is if an insurance company sees that you're being tested for HIV (or really any STI), they will automatically categorize you as a "high risk", even if the testing is considered "standard" when screening for other things.

This way, you can still get the tests done as a good health measure, but the records are kept as an anonymous numbered test so that there is never any record of the HIV test being done, unless the result should come back HIV+. It helps give you the peace of mind of keeping on top of your health, while at the same time, not giving insurance companies (or sometimes even lawyers) any ammunition to use against you later.

I started getting regular tests when I was only 16. By the time I was 22, I stopped getting tested to see whether or not I am HIV+, because well… Once ONE HIV test comes back positive, you can't revert back to not having it... So it's kinda pointless to keep testing to determine if you have HIV in the first place, when you already know that you do.
