The most recent travesty affected me personally.  I commented on Democratic Representative Adam Shiff's Facebook page.   I chastised him for attacking Trump constantly.   I reminded him that during a CAMPAIGN it is fair to attack a CANDIDATE.. but after an election, it is a crime called SEDITION to attack the president of the United States.  After the election, politics need to end, so that the process of actual governing can begin.

So, you are saying the entire eight years of the Obama administration, where the entire GOP was attacking Obama, they were guilty of sedition?

In other countries, attacking the leader would get one put in prison, or even shot.  Even in England which has "freedom of the press" there is an exception.. the press are forbidden from attacking the Queen (and  to some degree the other Royals).  To do so is a crime.   It is ironic that decades ago, there were fairly credible news programs.  In fact, believe it or not, CNN used to be the most credible news outlet in the world!

It still is, to people who do not read the fake news of the alt-right.

The term "fake news", by the way, means reporting completely made up propaganda, like that the Clintons are behind a child sex slave ring.

The alt-right, and Trump, misuse the term "Fake News" to mean anyone that criticizes the dictator-in-chief.

There is such a thing as facts, not "alternative facts". Climate change is a fact. Fossil fuel companies spread propaganda because they do not like that fact. Our health care industry was crap before Obamacare, and Obamacare did NOT make it worse- they put a band-aid on a tumor. A slight improvement, but not much in the long run.

Donald Trump, through the entire campaign and now, actively works to shut down opposing viewpoints. He did a mass purge of employees left over from the Obama era. His Press secretary silences or ignores any questions he does not want to answer. Donald Trump constantly insults everyone, non stop, and you pretend it is liberals who need to work on their delivery?

Again- in your mind, if 90% of people all agree about something, it could not possibly be that they are correct.

The problem we have here is "Fake news". We have propaganda machines specifically created to brainwash conservatives to vote Republican. It began with talk radio, then evolved to FOX News, and now the alt-right websites.

Originaly they were funded by the wealthy to get people to vote for politicians who cut programs for the poor and middle class and make things beter for the rich by scapegoating minorities- we will protect you from the blacks. we will protect you from the gays. we will protect you from the muslims. we will protect you from the Mexicans.
