RE: AI upscaling question.
@jokuihmemies generally speaking, yes there is .. there's advanced AI enhancing software that's enterprise / commercial based out there that law enforcement and other types of government agencies use to revert digitally obfuscated photos and videos -- probably overkill here for your use-case..
That said, the one that's consumer targeted that specifically calls out blurred out portions of video and that's AVCLabs -- I've only kicked the tires with their product for general AI enhancing testing and it was ... okay.. I haven't really tried it out for the de-blur / de-obfuscation but they do offer a trial version of their software so maybe you can see for yourself if it fits the bill?

@blablarg18 I'd download it myself to troubleshoot but it's a bit large for something that I wouldn't otherwise download... that said, what type of players have you tried? I'm guessing you tried the ubiquitous VLC? If so, what was the exact error?
Also, have you tried to see if Handbrake can load it in and convert it to a different format that does normally work for you?

RE: What's everyone using for their media management?
@jokuihmemies Google will be your friend here -- or use some of the links already provided in the thread -- if one of the apps sounds of interest just search the name plus 'download' in Google and you should find the site to get it .. Plex's is https://www.plex.tv/ but that might be over kill if you're not looking to stream out your stuff to friends and just want to sort/manage your stuff easier then one of the other apps mentioned above should work well.

RE: What's everyone using for their media management?
@jokuihmemies yeah you should check one media management software out if you have a lot of files within those directories - the way of sorting that way is 'hunt and peck' kinda approach.. with the free software media managers mentioned above you can tag by categories, actors, studios, resolution, etc., etc.. then you can do things like easily find media with multiple criteria -- like a film that's 4K staring actors x, y and/or z, in a bareback gangbang (or whatever).. many of them can import already existing metadata tags that exist in video files (or match it with online databses) so you don't have to start entering data from scratch.
I have over 3,700 full films/DVDs in my Plex adult film library so sorting it without a media management software would be a no-go lol

RE: What's everyone using for their media management?
@bear1515 cool - thanks! The lack of streaming externally to others would exclude it as an alternative for me, I have quite a number of friends who regularly remotely access my media libraries, but I like the other parts you describe of it .. I might check it out to see if I can use in conjunction with Plex.
Plex only allows a few fields to be modified via the user interface so I had to write some scripts to edit metadata (actors, directors, studio, etc.) in the media files themselves.. works just fine but the bad news w/ that approach the file is modified, slightly, so that means one I update it for Plex usage I can't use that file again for reseed requests on here. First world problems I suppose.. lol

@lololulu19 sounds like a PICNIC problem

RE: What's everyone using for their media management?
@bear1515 haven't heard of Porn Organizer before -- I tried to Google it but results were all over the place probably because of the common words in the name.. Is there a link to it that you can share?
Also, when you tag your media does it update the file's metadata, like performer's name etc., or does it just keep track of that stuff only its own database? The pain with Plex is you have the actor field isn't editable directly with the UI so often you have to use metadata editors to tag them

What's everyone using for their media management?
I've been using Plex for years to host both my porn content and regular cinema content for the household and content delivery for friends.. it's been working great, although it does have its pains - especially having to jump through a few hoops to get metadata content in for media it doesn't match. There's 3rd party agents and tools to go about it, so it hasn't been a show stopper but it also has some limitations when it comes to 4K+ content too..
I've been reading how people are moving more and more away from Plex to lot of people make switch to Jellyfin, Emby and a few others.
I am wondering what others out there are using, especially in the context of those that also have adult media like fellow members of this site..

RE: 3 Seeders but stuck at 87.9%
@OKCancel Are you trying to download the entire contents of the torrent or just some of them? I saw a few rare ones I didn't have and kicked off a job to grab three files out of 44 - I'm wondering if the 3 current seeders have a partial download configuration like what I'm attempting..

RE: AI Upscaling
@mattisv there are a few AI open source projects out there that may be of interest, but just know they a mixed bag of results and tend to require a higher technical skillset to get going (not all but just some). A couple of free ones that come to mind which use AI/NNs to upscale Cupscale (https://github.com/n00mkrad/cupscale) , Waifu2x-Extension-GUI (https://github.com/AaronFeng753/Waifu2x-Extension-GUI), Waiful2x (https://waifu2x.udp.jp/) ,QualityScaler (https://jangystudio.itch.io/qualityscaler)
One tool that's extremely generally useful utility is Hybrid (https://www.selur.de/downloads). You wouldn't use it for upscaling resolution of a video, although you can, but it brings a fantastic array of options to perform pre/post treatment work with videos. I find that it has better results using non-AI based programs. For example TVEAI doesn't do a great job denoising or degraining video versus free alternatives like Handbrake or Hybrid. In fact I think it does as good of a job, if not better, than BMDS

RE: Site duplicate rules as applied to AI enhancement
@NF16 yeah I see your point - and if at the end of the day the result is basically the same as some other work but just done differently, then it's a dupe.
My thinking is that so long as there are included screenshots of the material, and not just using external internet google image sourced pics, that the duplication decision can be made then by moderators. If it looks materially no different than other torrents and near same size and is just another replication with the same result then it seems to fall into the realm of what the word duplication means. That said, it'd be much more work for the moderators to validate this such potentially small idiosyncrasies the squeeze may not be worth the juice..
To complicate matters, some, albeit very few, AI enhancements are focused on other restorative functions such as vocal isolation (background music / noise isolation), grain modifications, and/or significant amount of noise alteration that the intended result is not as easily distinguishable, if at all, from still screen captures. For example, I've made a few AI enhancements to some that left visual material alone and only focused on audio alterations. On a few occasions I've made vocal track treatments because the background music was blaring or in one case (ahem, looking at you "Cock on the Rocks") that the original production had all audio recorded by a flowing pool waterfall

RE: Site duplicate rules as applied to AI enhancement
Re: Site duplicate rules as applied to AI enhancement
IMHO I do not see them as duplicates in general - as the intent is to take source A and make it 'better' to target B with significant alteration of the original. With the AI upscalers they are creating new pixels in an interpretative way based on some trained ML algorithm, some much better than others, and creating re-imaged new content. The point being is that the new AI treated output is different in someway - be it counted in pixel density, resolution, color grading/corrections, vocal isolation/sound restoration, etc.
That said, the problem isn't so much the intent but rather the outcomes of posting poor quality upscaled content. Since the original source isn't destroyed in the process, people shouldn't really care if it were not the fact that downloading large sized dribble is going to take a hit on their ratio as well as wasting time & resources to download it. If ratios weren't a factor it would be just another 'oh well .. delete and move on' moment after downloading a large sized dog turd. Compounding matters, poorly AI-treated content also floods available options when trying to find particular content and trying to pick the good version from the bad. Point here is the problem is not so much duplication, as that's the symptom of the real problem of more dog-water quality content coming in because people think they're contributing.
That problem is getting worse lately - and I fully admit I've contributed to it with some of my earlier attempts. In my case, the constructive feedback I received from the user comments led me to dive much deeper in to the process and not just go with the out-of-the-box approach that Topaz, and other vendors, purport how easy-button it is. Maybe as these fledgling consumer-grade technologies mature to the point where out-of-the-box is generally good most of the time with any content, then reciprocally we will see much more quality content contributions. Or perhaps there will be more that took the route I did and just dive in and learn how to do it better.
However, until such time, assuming such a day comes in the near future if at all, then an interim approach to the problem might be a rule requirement that all AI treated content requires before & after pictures (from the actual source used and output made - not images grabbed from the internet) and some details as to how it was treated. That way we can decide if the content is worth the ratio hit.

RE: AI Upscaling
@drekkin Which TVEAI AI models do you normally use? I have been mostly using their suggested AI model but have seen the best consistent results with Artemus Low/Medium Quality -- they don't have extensive documentation so I end up just trying a lot of permutations with Proteus Fine Tune options.. I used to work a lot with Photoshop but that was many many years ago, so I am generally familiar with certain photo editing concepts but I find not having documentation makes learning it a very experimental / "crossing fingers" approach..
