    • RE: Porn video quality

I'm sure it's not just you but it's not me.  I have different issues with watchability. :blind:

I'll see some videos here that are 3 GB to 6 GB for about an hour's worth of play.  My computer will not play these properly.  They will stutter or pixilate.  Sometimes the sound will get out of synch with the speaking.  I find it unwatchable.  I don't mind some graininess or colourshifting especially with vintage movies.

What secifically bothers you with non HD quality?

    • RE: What is your genre?

Most strongly Science Fiction and Fantasy.
I also like Cosy Mystery (Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes as opposed to Mickey Spillane).
I like romantic elements, especially gay romantic elements, inside my stories but not as the main or only focus of the story.  The same with erotic elements and humour.

Skullfucking means something different.  Do NOT search for those pictures if you can get grossed out!

    • RE: Would You Be Straight if You Had The Choice?

I'm wondering, though.. Do straight people ever feel any (social or whatsoever) pressure to 'learn to accept themselves' ?

Of course they do.  think of all of the industries that would shut down if people were satisfied with themselves.

There are straight men who:  go bald, get fat, don't get the careers that they want, never get to play professional sports, get turned down by women….

    • RE: Best superhero movie

      Into the Spiderverse.

It's one of the few that puts forward the idea that anyone can choose to be a hero:  there's a Blatino highschool kid, a middle-aged and divorced burnout, a punk chick, an eleven year old with ADHD, an embittered journalist, an elderly widow, a 20 something hotshot, a cartoon pig, a cop, a nurse…. all heroes.  The villains are also varied:  a brilliant and kooky scientist without a moral compass, a cool uncle who found a life of crime to be an 'easy' way out, a wealthy narcissist.

It's a much better development of the idea stated in Harry Potter that it's our choices not our abilities that is important.

    • RE: What is your favorite horror movie?

2019 has been a great year for horror.

I really like "Ready or Not".

I think my favourite horror movie has to be The Sixth Sense.

Quick question about the category "Jocks"
The term is a bit ambiguous, it is athletes or underwear focused?

It looks like it's catching up.  Right now it shows you with a ratio of 1.008.

    • RE: Gay superhereos

If someone is established as having heterosexual love interests I prefer to see them come out as Bisexual/Pansexual than as Gay.

I'd love to see Robin1 AKA Nightwing come out as bisexual.

Robin III AKA Tim Drake I can see as gay.

    • RE: FLA Gay Killer to be Executed

      I'm Jewish.
My religious texts mandate death penalties.  By Roman times Jewish practice had eliminated the Death Penalty.

In theory, I support the Death Penalty.  In practice I don't trust governments (or anybody else mind you) with the power to execute people.

    • RE: FLA Gay Killer to be Executed

The three problems with using the Death penalty to stop sociopaths.

1/  Part of the definition of "sociopath" is a person who isn't deterred by the threat of punishment.

2/  There is systemic bias in who gets the death penalty and who doesn't.  Which is why Canada no longer has a death penalty.  (One of the cases in recent Canadian law was Carla Homolka who received a significantly lighter sentence than her partner Paul Bernardo.)

3/  There is a correlation between large numbers of state executions and levels of violence in the general society.  (Note, correlation is not causation.  High levels of social violence could lead to higher acceptance of executions.  High levels of executions could lead to higher levels of violence in society.  Or there could be outside factors raising both of them by coincidence.)
