    • RE: Black Mirror?

      I haven't seen the episode that aired this week, White Christmas with Jon Hamm but will watch it soon, have seen all the other ones.

      Last I heard The Entire History of You is being made into a movie by Robert Downey Jr.

      Tha National Anthem is very good but also very unsettling (poor piggie).

      My least fave would be The Waldo Moment or Fifteen Merit Points.

      The best one is White Bear.  Again also slightly unsettling, a little dull during but then the end punches you in the gut, flips you over and doesn't say thank you.

      Try The National Anthem or White Bear first.  Each episode is self contained so no need to follow any pattern.

      Just got around to watching this (in a day).  Back in the spring I had seen the "you just brought piss to a shit fight" bitch slap to a kid and made a mental note of checking it out because the scene seemed so funny even out of context.

      Then I got to the straight guys discussing Mean Jerk Time.  If you haven't seen it, they work out the calculations of how long it would take to jerk off every guy in the room and it is hilarious.  The whole series is funny but this bit is ridiculous.

    • RE: Current Series Action/Dramas

      Under the Drama category:  I just finished binge watching Manhattan.  Very enjoyable and look forward to season 2.

      Didn't hurt that Ashley Zuckerman was easy on my eyes.

      Doctor Zhivago
      (though I would prefer Omar Sharif as Nicky Arnstein for sex & bridge partner)

      I finally got around to Man of Steel and loved it.  Have also developed a fetish for the new Superman outfit.

      I am probably the only person who kinda likes the idea of Affleck as Batman.

    • RE: The scariest film you ever watched?

      The Changeling.

      Maybe because I saw it when I was young (probably too young) but I can still have nightmares that are based on it that have me wake from trying to scream.  To this day if I know it's airing on TV I can be unsettled.

      Not I  :cry2:

      I saw the first one in the HFR 3D.

      Saw the second one in the discount theatre.

      Will wait to see the Five Armies on tv & hopefully be mildly surprised.

    • RE: PrEP - Truvada

      @MrMazda:

      All that being said, from my personal experience I can tell you that Truvada is NOT a very pleasant drug to be on. One of the most common side effects of Truvada is chronic diarrhea. I unfortunatly happen to be one of the many people who got this side effect and I can say with certainty that it gets to a point where not even Lomotil is strong enough on some days to counter-balance that effect. One of the other most noted effects that Truvada has been known to have on the human body has to do with deteriorating the bone matter in some people, which causes low bone density, and thereby increases the risk of a fracture or a break resulting from something like a fall.

      I am very lucky because apart from the intial start up of taking Truvada (10 days of living death & that could have been from the other drug prescribed with it) I haven't noticed any side effects from taking it.

    • RE: New Order Substance SIDES!!!

      @speshnar:

      ABC's debut 'The Lexicon of Love' is great, but far more dredged in the New Romantic excesses of the era than New Order, which pretty much set the direction for electronic dance music for the next decade.

      The Lexicon of Love is my desert island album.  That being said I would not argue that ABC are a better band then New Order.  I was just adding them to the list of the cool synth pop of the 80s.  I stand by my original statement ABC & The Human League are 2 of the most underrated bands in existence.

      If you like ABC, The Human League and/or Cabaret Voltaire there's a great documentary called Made in Sheffield about the Sheffield music scene late 70s to early 80s.

    • RE: Who hates justin bieber?

      Disco most certainly does not suck!

      Let me be very clear:  I love disco and all it's many permeations.  Especially the current nu-disco genre.

      I am just comparing the 'disco sucks' bandwagon to the 'bieber is the worst' bandwagon.

      I see all the hate thrown at him and I just don't understand what he's done to generate it.  Sure he's been a dick but so have any number of other celebrities who don't seem to suffer the same vitriol he does.

      I just think he's pretty to look at.

    • RE: Pet Shop Boys

      @speshnar:

      How come? It was a low point of their career, I guess…

      Was Nightlife a low point?  I was fond of New York City Boy and I Don't Know What You Want.

      Unfortunately I don't think I would be able to put into words what about the concert turned me off.  I was a bit put off that the doors opened at 8 and also the concert began at 8 insuring I missed the first half of the concert.  The week before under a similiar situation I waited 5 hours for a concert to begin after showing up at the doors opening at the same venue but this was no fault of the Pet Shop Boys and shouldn't be enough to turn me off of them for years.

      I have asked my date for that concert what it was that was so bad about it but he doesn't have a good answer either.  Although I have allowed it to slide and enjoy the Boys again he hasn't and still won't listen to them willingly.

      I wonder, would I be classified a whore by the morally righteous if I was to date a non-smoker and charge them for the second hand smoke they suck up?

    • RE: My Arnold Palmers

      I have now started making them with fresh lemon or lime juice (about 1 cup juice to 3/4 cup sugar/honey mix) and also throwing in 2 cups of ginger tea.  Making what I think is not only a refreshing beverage but a cold & flu preventative.

      Look at the good I do.

      I can't stand it, I change the station every time I hear it. Same goes for anything by Taylor Swift.

      Hell recently froze over and everyone started ice skating cause that "Blank Space" is hot.

      Yet another attack upon me as opposed to dealing with any of the issues.

      You place the definition of ostensible while not realizing I am using the word correctly, what exactly is the purpose here other than to expose your own ingnorance?

      Is it a glass bridge you have crawled out from to throw these stones?

      BLAH BLA BLA I've had my intelligence insulted by far prettier than you while wearing more clothing.

      It's clear you're not interested in any discussion and only attacking me because you continue to nitpick me and ignoring issues brought up.

      I expect more from the user of what is ostensibly a gay porn site.

      Downvote for no reason other than the fact that it's just a click away, just a click away.

      The first time I watched that episdoe I drifted off during my first viewing but woke up because there was silence and assumed the show was over.  Instead I had woken up during this scene and thought I was in Inception.

    • RE: What’s a gay Christian?

      @nordicblue:

      you sound worse than the Christians claiming that you know for a fact that the Christianity is farce.  Which part of society are you referring to, there about 1.9 billion Christians [1].  The prevalence of homosexuality is approximately 1 in 10; a great deal less than there are Christians [2].  Also, you have forgotten about the gay Christians.

      Slow down there mister.  Let's take this one at a time.  Where am I referring to "society"?

      And perhaps I sound worse "than the Christians" as you say because the truth hurts?

      This supposed "word of God" called the Bible by Christians, is edited by man.  For example:  what happened to the Book of Enoch?  Once accepted as part of the word of God but no longer.  How does that happen?

      Jesus Christ is another example, the only reference to him comes from the Bible, why aren't there historical records of this character?

      What it all boils down to, and there is no denying this, is that it is faith based.  There is no proof to back up these claims only faith.

      He that has ears to hear let him hear bla bla bla

    • RE: Porn soundtracks

      Usually I prefer no soundtrack so as not to clash with whatever I am playing.

      That being said, I would give up shaving my palms for a week if I could get my grimy paws on "New Wave Hustlers" from 1988 I think (maybe earlier).  That porn introduced me to Heaven 17 (Let Me Go was super looped extended in one scene) & as I recall there were other good tracks in it as well.  Probably why I have had no luck in tracking it down (clearance rights & what have you, they keep classic WKRP from being enjoyed & perhaps classic porn aussi).  Without "New Wave Hustlers" I may have missed out on Heaven 17 entirely (which also led to a rediscovery of The Human League).
