For fucks sake, you even said that having gays and lesbians forming a group pisses you off, but you won't commit to saying why, other than you don't feel you have anything in common. How pissed off would you be if the lesbians back then went off and got better rights such as the ability to get married, but the gays didn't because they didn't have the foresight to see that we're stronger together?

I do my best to refrain from commenting on most of your posts because my first reaction is usually to be a snarky bastard and I don't want to look like I'm targeting you unfairly, but sometimes you come out with something that really deserves to be challenged. I really do think you're an attention-seeking troll when I read threads like this.

Most of the time when you do comment on other threads it has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand. I remember one thread where someone was asking about a problem with their username, and you helpfully chimed in with a picture you claimed to have taken of Tom Cruise's condo building, harping on about a helipad on the roof. It feels like you've claimed to personally know more A-list celebrities than Jay Leno, and about as many top-ranked porn stars. Then there are all the posts where this happened or that happened. The first thing that comes into my head when I see them is "This one time, at Band Camp...." If your life is that interesting then why are you wasting it telling us all about it?

Most of the time when you bring up your eloquent "lumped in" feelings you'll create a new post and then just leave it hanging there like an eggy fart in a spacesuit, never returning to defend what you've said when everyone leaving comments disagrees. You just ignore it all, wait a few weeks and then create a new thread doing it all over again.

Then add in all the other recurring themes in your posts:

• This site should only have uploads that I personally like. I don't want straight, trans, bisexual or anything else to be available for anyone as it doesn't interest me.

• All men must undergo mandatory training on how to have anal sex and use anal sex toys

I always expected there to be a sizeable difference in pay with mainstream studios when compared to something like Raunchy Bastards, who seem to use newbie models and usually have them only do 1 scene. You wouldn't expect top-notch pay for that, but working regularly for an established studio with exclusive models, high production standards and a huge fanbase you'd obviously expect a bit more.

I hadn't heard about the Armond Rizzo thing before, but it's good to see that there are people in the industry who are willing to take a stand.

I used to be a huge fan a Helix, and still grab the new scenes when they appear as I'm something of a collector, but I've noticed that I rarely watch them these days. Maybe I'm just not into the current batch of models. I defo never watch anything with Josh Brady. He doesn't really fit the theme of the studio in my opinion, and something about him just turns me off.

I'm curious about how much people get paid for gay porn, and if there's an overall difference between tops and bottoms.

For example, I'd like to know what a relatively new performer might earn for a scene against a studio's star performers. I'm thinking of people like Kyle Ross (RIP) who was a Helix exclusive model and became synonymous with the brand.

Then you have guys like Daniel Hausser, Austin Avery, Dakota Lovell.... They spread themselves around various studios and are obviously in demand, but is this down to low pay and the need to shoot as many scenes as they can?

Also, is there a difference in pay-scales between top, bottom and vers guys? Do performers earn more for fucking or being fucked, or is it entirely down to there looks and fanbase? I would imagine that they would be able to expect more for doing certain things like fisting. Would you expect to be paid the same for a 1 on 1 scene as you would for letting 10 tops take turns on you? And if so, what sort of numbers are we talking about?

Having seen a couple of documentaries about the porn industry in the past I'm curious about how much someone can expect to earn in the gay market.

The documentaries were primarily about the straight porn sector, and made a big deal of women being paid significantly more than their male performing partners. One phrase I distinctly remember is males being referred to as "warm props" which I suppose is understandable as straight men are usually only watching to see the women and don't care who's fucking them.

Does this dynamic bear any correlation to gay porn? Are bottoms in any way favoured over tops by studios, or are tops more in demand and hence paid more? How much might a newbie earn for their first few shoots with a big studio such as Helix or Cockyboys versus one of their big exclusives?

Is it possible to actually earn a living wage in the gay porn industry? There are apparently women who make 6-figure sums in straight porn and use that as their sole income, though I'm sure they are rare if they do actually exist, but I can't imagine the same being true for gay performers.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge (not speculation) about this?

@john32123666 I have tried that strategy in the past, but results haven't been much better. I just seem to get much higher upload speeds on torrents from the .net site, regularly seeing speeds in excess of 15Mb/s whereas on here I rarely get much over 1 or 2. It could just be luck of the draw, but thought I'd see if there might be something I'm missing in my client.

I'm just curious if there's some way of improving my uploading speeds specifically for this site. If I sort my completed torrent in my client by share ratio then things I've downloaded from here consistently show the lowest ratios when compared to the other 2 sites I visit.

While I'm aware that such things are largely based on how popular a download is, how quickly you join the swarm and some other factors, my current actively seeding files on here top out at a ratio of around 3:1 whereas I see 8 or 9 to 1 on another site and between 50 and 70 on the other.

Is there something I can do to improve my ability to share here, or is it purely down to the characteristics of the swarms I'm in?

Peers are absolutely involved in the download process. I have managed to finish downloads in the past without ever actually connecting to the seeder. If you are connected to peers who have a enough parts to constitute a full copy then you are able to get the whole file from them. If peers played no part in the download process then why would you see upload traffic on a torrent that you're downloading?
