    • RE: Trump Favorability numbers hit new lows

      @Drwas:

      President Donald Trump is dealing with a budding scandal after his decision to fire FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday.

      But even before that, he appears to have hit a new low with the American people.

      A new poll from Quinnipiac University shows Trump’s disapproval rating rising to 58 percent - a new high in Quinnipiac’s regular polling and the highest in a high-quality, non-tracking poll since his inauguration. Just 36 percent approved of Trump’s job performance.

      .. and we saw how accurate polls were in the 2016 election, eh?
      The problem with polls is.. the polls represent only the people who are polled!  The pollsters typically only poll the people who live in high crime city centers.. where the libtards tend to live and breath like cockroaches.

    • RE: Christian Activist Smashes Pie Into Face Of Qantas CEO over Gay Marriage

      @Drwas:

      The CEO of Australian airline Qantas says he’ll continue to publicly support same-sex marriage after he was attacked with a pie over the issue. “My opinion on this has not changed,” Alan Joyce said in a statement Wednesday. “We’ll continue to speak about important social issues including indigenous reconciliation, gender diversity and marriage equality, because it’s the right thing to do.”

      A man rubbed a pie in Joyce’s face at a business event on Tuesday morning just as the CEO began delivering a speech. The assailant, Tony Overheu, has since spoken to Australian media, saying he wanted to make a statement about Joyce’s support for same-sex marriage. “There’s some really crude stuff going on here, and Joyce has been very much leading the issue,” Overheu told 7News.

      http://money.cnn.com/2017/05/10/news/qantas-ceo-same-sex-marriage-pie-attack/

      I'm going to respond to this taking the position of a stockholder in Quantas.  I assume that Quantas is a publicly traded company.  What business does the CEO of Quantas have making a speech about same-sex marriage?  Whether the CEO was in favor of same sex marriages or against them is irrelevant.  As the CEO of Quantas.. he needs to refrain from delving into areas which have zero to do with the company he is supposed to be running.

    • RE: WV journalist arrested for asking Health Secretary Tom Price a question

      @Drwas:

      Dan Heyman, a veteran reporter for the Public News Service, was arrested on Tuesday in Charleston, West Virginia, for doing his job.

      The West Virginia-based journalist was working on a story about whether domestic violence would be considered a pre-existing condition under the GOP health care bill, so he went on Tuesday to the West Virginia state capitol where President Donald Trump’s secretary of health and human services, Tom Price, was visiting to learn more about the opioid crisis.

      Heyman said that he approached Price in the hallways of the capitol and repeatedly asked him if domestic violence is a pre-existing condition. Price refused to answer questions, but Heyman persisted anyway. Moments later Heyman was handcuffed and arrested for “willful disruption of state government processes.”

      Even though you are wrong about everything… you answered your own comment this time.

      Heyman approached Price (fine) and asked him a question (fine)...
      Heyman asked the questions REPEATEDLY (not fine) and persisted to ask the questions even after Price refused (not file).
      Heyman WAS disrupting a government official willfully.. so he was arrested.
      That was the correct thing to do, and there was really no other alternative.  In similar circumstances.. overbearing pig cops have tased, clubbed, pepper sprayed, and even killed people... and they get away with it.
      In this case, Heyman forced them to arrest him.

    • RE: TEXAS: State House Votes To Allow Religious Adoption Agencies To Turn Away Gays

      @Drwas:

      Faith-based adoption agencies in Texas would be able to reject prospective parents on religious grounds under a bill the state House preliminarily approved Tuesday over strong objections from Democratic lawmakers who said it would ultimately harm children and deny good people the right to care for them.

      Under House Bill 3859, which advanced on a 94-51 vote, providers would be protected from legal retaliation if they assert their “sincerely held religious beliefs” while caring for abused and neglected children. The measure would allow them to place a child in a religion-based school; deny referrals for abortion-related contraceptives, drugs or devices; and refuse to contract with other organizations that don’t share their religious beliefs.

      Rep. James Frank, the Wichita Falls Republican who authored the bill and an adoptive father, said repeatedly during a lengthy debate Tuesday that his legislation is not meant to be exclusionary but to give providers some certainty when it comes to legal disputes. He described opposition to the bill as “fabricated hysteria.”

      https://www.texastribune.org/2017/05/09/prewrite-hb-3859/

      The key word you brushed over is "FAITH" based adoption agencies.  One of the protections of religion is that they can do pretty much anything they want - because of the separation of church and state.  I don't agree with that, but it is the law.  I don't think that most if any of the activities of churches should be tax exempt.. but that is also the way the laws work.

    • RE: Comey asked for increased resources for Russia investigation just before firing

      @Drwas:

      In the days before James Comey was fired as FBI director, he had requested that his agency receive a “significant increase” in resources to assist the ongoing investigation into the alleged Russian interference of the 2016 election, according to The New York Times. Comey asked for “money and personnel” last week when he met with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who happened to be the one to pen the memorandum saying Comey’s term should be terminated, according to the Times.

      So far, Democrats have largely led the calls that a special prosecutor be appointed to lead the investigation, but on Wednesday Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell R-Ky., rejected requests for a special prosecutor or an independent commission, according to Politico.

      As always.. you are twisting the reports even beyond what the media are saying.  The media are saying that Comey asked the 2 heads of the investigating committee for more resources.  Comey didn't ask the Deputy Attorney General for more resources.

      But.. even that is irrelevant.  The FBI director is not an elected official.  He works at the discretion of the president.  The president can fire the FBI director without giving any reasons for doing so.  Here's one reason.  Comey was a carry over from the Obama administration.. case closed.

      Lets' not forget that just one week ago, Hillary Clinton gave a speech blaming Comey for her loss in the election.  Just hours before Trump fired Comey, John Podesta was posting that Comey's comments made him feel nauseous.

      People like you would be ashamed of themselves DrWas.. if you had any shame.

      Just keep on going though.  I kind of enjoy pointing out how every one of your comments is garbage.  You are a fine representative of the typical libtard.

      France is like herpes, cancer, and Cher.  They never go away  (Cher has been on her "farewell tour" since June 2002).
      France keeps coming back by selling massive quantities of weapons to countries that can't acquire them from anybody else.

    • Hypocrite Jimmy Kimmel

      Apparently Jimmy Kimmel's baby is far more important than anybody else's.  He exploits his own show as a soapbox for the crisis his own baby is having.. which would be touching.. except for the fact that this is the same Jimmy Kimmel who proudly and boldly supports libtards such as Hillary Clinton who brazenly push for tax payer funded, guilt-free abortions, even in the 3rd trimester, up until the very day of delivery.  In fact, because the babies being aborted in the 3rd trimester are able to live even if removed.. they do what is called a "partial birth abortion" (which Hillary advocates) in which the baby is removed from the mother - except for the head.  The head is left inside the mother, and they reach in with a pair of long scissors, and snip the baby's spinal cord from the brain stem.  They have to do this with the baby's head still inside the mother to qualify as being an abortion… because if the head was out before killing the baby, that would be designated as being murder!

      Another hypocritical aspect of that is that legally, if someone kills a pregnant woman, they are charged with murder of not only the mother, but the murder of the baby inside the mother as well.  So, if a woman was going to a clinic to get an abortion... and got punched in the abdomen in the elevator.. that would be considered murder.. yet if she got out of the elevator and had the baby killed by a "doctor" that is perfectly legal.  If one got in a car accident in which a pregnant woman had a miscarriage, the driver would be charged with at least manslaughter.

      Libtards just can't pick a side.  They totally bend and break the rules to justify their own agendas.  If that isn't the definition of evil, I don't know what is.

    • How the pathetic libtards perpetuate their nonsense

      There is an old term for "fake news" called propaganda.  That entails stating things which are either not true at all, or distorted in such a way as to spin their meaning completely.
      The left hide behind the protection of fiction and comedy by using actors, comedians, and otherwise buffoons to make their absurd statements, and then use the so-called mainstream media to echo those comments.
      For instance, SNL constantly parodies and attacks Trump.  The mainstream news could not DIRECTLY do that themselves, but then media outlets such as CNN refer to and show clips of SNL skits to propagate what they could not say themselves.  The same strategy is used on clown shows such as Trevor Noah's Daily Show, Stephen Colbert, Seth Myers, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Conan O'Brien, James Corden, and a cadre of idiots that the leftist media call upon to say stupid false things to stir the pot.

      One classic example of this was many years ago when libtard David Letterman (who we now know was a mean-spirited drunk that everybody around him hated - including Paul Shaffer) said that Martha Raye wears condoms.  Martha sued for defamation, but lost because Letterman is a comedian and has "license" to say absurd, acerbic, inane comments and get away with it.  But then.. other shows such as Entertainment Tonight, other talk shows, and even the local and national news programs pick up the story about Letterman saying that Martha wears condoms.. and all of a sudden, Martha's image is permanently ruined, and she became unemployable as an actress, even to make commercials for polident denture adhesive.

      If you doubt what I say.. just go to CNN.com and almost every day.. they are referring to something from SNL that attacked Trump.

    • RE: #45 Has Fired FBI Director James Comey

      This is a classic example of how hypocritical the libtards are.  In the same DAY, Podesta starts out by again attacking Comey.. but then a few hours later, Podesta is attacking Trump for firing Comey!

      Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta was, like many on the political left, angry with former FBI Director James Comey Tuesday morning. But his tone changed significantly only hours later when President Donald Trump fired Comey.

      Just last week, Hillary Clinton partially blamed Comey for her loss in the 2016 election, so it’s not surprising her campaign chairman would also harbor bad blood. Tuesday morning, while sharing a story on the then-FBI director’s testimony the day before, Podesta commented, “The American public is getting mildly nauseous listening to Jim Comey.”

      Hours later, however, once the news of Comey’s firing hit, Podesta’s tone changed.
      While tweeting the New York Times story on the firing just seven hours later, Podesta said, “@realDonaldTrump Didn’t you know you’re supposed to wait til Saturday night to massacre people investigating you?”

    • RE: NOLA Mayor: Death Threats Won’t Stop Us From Taking Down Confederate Monuments

      @Drwas:

      NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

      After more than a week of protests and arrests, city workers put up a fence Wednesday around the Jefferson Davis monument in Mid City.

      The contractor, who was paid $300 to drop the fence off, said he had no idea he was dropping off fencing to be erected around the monument. And he said since his workers dropped off the fencing, he has gotten death threats and his home address has been published online.

      The contractor said someone called his company asking him to pick up fencing on the westbank and drop it off at Canal and S. Jefferson Davis Parkway.

      He said after the job was completed, his company's phone line was flooded with calls and threats from people across the country.

      "Specifically, they said they were going to burn me, they were going to burn my trucks, they were going to come to my yard and protest, they're not gonna let my trucks leave the yard, they going to protest all day long,  and one woman from Mississippi specifically said she's going to make sure that I'm going to get burned and my truck is going to get burned. That's how bad it is," the contractor said.

      Ah, the tolerant right!

      Excuse me?  Who is being intolerant?  Jefferson is a major historical figure in Louisiana.  He was president of the Confederacy, he lived and died in Louisiana, and owned a plantation in Louisiana.. and yet.. the left must erase Jefferson Davis from history by removing his monument?  You know who else did shit like that?  Josef Stalin.  Stalin was famous for removing all monuments, documents, and images of his adversaries.  Tell me who is being intolerant again?  You libtards are so full of it, it is coming out your ears.  :true:

    • RE: ACLU Blasts Firing of Comey: Serious Alarm for Our System of Checks and Balances

      @Drwas:

      Via press release from the ACLU:

      The independence of the FBI director is meant to ensure that the president does not operate above the law. For President Trump to fire the man responsible for investigating his own campaign’s ties to the Russians imperils that fundamental principle.

      Regardless of how one judges the performance of James Comey in either the Hillary Clinton or Russia investigations, President Trump’s dismissal of a sitting FBI director raises serious alarm bells for our system of checks and balances.

      The terms of FBI directors were purposefully structured to span across sitting presidents to ensure the FBI’s independence and insulate the bureau from partisan politics. President Trump’s dismissal of Comey raises questions about the administration’s inappropriate meddling in bureau operations — precisely at a time when the bureau appears to be investigating the president, his advisors, and his campaign for potential collusion with Russian agents in our last election.

      Libtards just can't be right about anything.  One day they are condemning Comey for getting Trump elected.. even Hillary said that just 7 days ago.. but now that Trump fires Comey.. now the libtards attack Trump!  In the pigeon sized brains of the libtards.. @Drwas:

      Minutes ago the Senate Judiciary Committee released a letter sent today from the FBI to Senator Chuck Grassley, the Chairman of the Committee, which states it is "intended to supplement" Comey's testimony.

      "Director Comey spoke of hundreds and thousands of emails being forwarded from Ms. Abedin to Mr. Weiner's laptop," the letter says, noting "the FBI believes it is reasonable to conclude that most of the emails found on Mr. Weiner's laptop…occurred as a result of a backup of personal electronic devices."

      "Investigators," the letter continues, "ultimately determined that two email chains containing classified information were manually forwarded to Mr. Weiner's account."

      Two.

      And later in the day.. Trump increased the number of unemployed by one.. by firing Comey!  :cheers:

      @yapi75:

      Hi everyone this is my first post on this site and I had to do it because of a few scary posts I've just read about The French elections.

      Last, many of us French people believe that our young, handsome and brilliant new President embodies values likely to give hope for the new generations. I may be wrong but why not give this young man a chance ?

      And NO : gays and women are NOT beaten everyday by Muslims in France. I could not believe reading that kind of s**t on a gay site but I guess there are pro-Trump, pro-Putin, populist alt-right gays after all …

      Peace people and do not let hate pollute your minds  :love:

      I try to agree with people whenever I can.  I do agree that Macron is young and handsome.  If watching porn, I would much rather watch Macron than Marine Le Pen.
      As for everything else you said.  Nonsense.  The entire history of France is corruption, hypocrisy, and division.  You sell weapons of mass destruction to anybody who will pay for them, yet condemn any actual USE of the weapons by your rivals.  France always despises their own leaders, going all the way back to the kings and Napoleon.  Basically, France is a country of mercenaries (ever heard of the French Foreign Legion?).  France thrives upon terrorism.
      HOWEVER, I must point something out.  Quite often, the people who exhibit the WORST behaviors also exhibit the BEST behaviors.  Certainly France and Germany have done a lot of terrible things.. but France has also done some of the best things.  And as for Germany, the technology of the world advanced by leaps and bounds with WW2.  There probably would be no jet airplanes nor men on the moon without the contributions of people like Werner Von Braun and Albert Einstein (Einstein was German by the way..)  Ironically.. Hitler was NOT German!  He was Austrian.  Those damned Austrians!  bad bad bad!

      I apologize in advance for offending any libtards with the true facts.

      raphjd, why are you responding to your own posts and rambling about Nazis? Take a deep breath and step away from the keyboard. Maybe it's time for other staff to intervene and give a certain admin a little time off – a "sanity break"?

      No sanity break needed.

      I do that to point out that the liberals keep down voting my posts, but never answer even the most basic questions I pose to them.

      In case you haven't noticed, the left loves to call everyone they don't like a Nazi.    If you don't want to cuck to the EU, you're a Nazi.  If you condemn violence, you're a Nazi.

      People who love to criticize often try to imply that someone is a Nazi or a Communist.  The Liberals still have not figured out that Russia is no longer Communist.  Sadly, I think that in the future.. the entire world will be Communist.  Communism is the opposite of freedom.  In the future, government will dictate everything, without applying any common sense or rationale.. and people will all just be cogs in a wheel.  Communism is heaven for liberals.

    • Hillary really isn't a liberal

      Lifetime political monsters such as Hillary Clinton tend to disguise their true agendas and motivations.

      For instance.. loonies such as Hillary, Bernie Sanders, and Obama all have the core beliefs of being anti-capitalist, regulation over competition,  eliminating the wealthy class, and having the government impose themselves on every aspect of a citizen's life.. including their housing, healthcare, employment rules, salaries, retirement, everything.  Basically, they want everybody and everything controlled and regulated by the government.  That is the opposite of "Freedom".  In fact, there is a term for what their philosophy.. it's called "Communism".

      Specifically, I don't think the government should be sticking their nose into health insurance nor any other type of insurance.  The government should strive to keep healthcare costs as low as possible.. so that people can AFFORD healthcare if they want and need it.  Nobody should be forced to pay for health insurance.. especially if they live a healthy lifestyle.  People like Hillary, Sanders, Obama like to impose their control upon everybody.
