    • RE: Is the Confederate Flag a Symbol of Racism or History?

      @jacobslokum:

      @raphjd:

      I think some people wallow in oppression.
      …
      Rather than focusing on actual oppression, people are getting butt hurt of some historical thing.

      You didn't actually make an argument that the confederate flag isn't a symbol of racism, presumably because you know it is. Instead, what you did is lump together rapping about white people not hiring black people with being upset about our government proudly flying a flag that symbolizes the treasonous lengths white people once went to protect their right to treat other people as chattel slavery.

      As a matter of fact.. the confederate flag is not a symbol of racism.  While it is sometimes used by racists, it is not a symbol of racism, but a symbol to represent the "South" in the Civil War.  Quite a few people think that the Civil War was about slavery and WW2 was about the hatred of Jews.  While those things were certainly PART of those wars, they were not the primary impetus (driving force) in those conflicts.

    • Sedition, Patriotism, etc.

      Every public school student in the USA knows is compelled to recite the "Pledge of Allegiance" every school day.
      In the eyes of the world, the USA is represented by it's president.  So, it is reasonable to expect people to show their allegiance to the president - whoever that may be.  People can rant and rave all they want BEFORE an election, but after an election, that needs to cease so that the business of governing the nation can take place.
      Let me make an analogy.  think of government as a game - such as poker.  You are dealt some cards, which you might like or dislike, but whatever cards you are dealt, you have to make the most of them.  In fact, in poker, most of your hands will be losing hands, so if you folded every time you got a hand you didn't like, you would be guaranteed to lose.

      There are laws that cover this - which are only enforced in rare circumstances such as in a time of war - especially civil war.  They are called laws of sedition.  I think it is safe to say that the extreme left are in a state of civil war right now.  We have lunatic libtards such as "Auntie" Maxine Waters,  John Pedosta,  "Slippery" Hillary Cliton, Elizabeth Warren, Nancy Pelosi, John Lewis, Michael Moore, etc. calling for "special prosecutors" and impeachment pretty  much constantly over some other overblown crap of the week.

      One of the fundamental pillars of justice in the USA is the concept of being "innocent until proven guilty".  This concept is not universal in the world, for instance, in France, one is considered "guilty until proven innocent".  (In truth, one is guilty until proven innocent in the USA, however, people refuse to realize that because their minds are in fantasy land).  Anyway, if observing the law, these seditious clowns should be charged with defamation, slander, libel, and sedition when calling for the impeachment of the president just on a "hunch".

      Let me make one simple case for when someone should have been impeached, but was not.  I happen to think that as presidents go, BILL Clinton was one of the better ones.. however, he should have been impeached.  Putting aside all the other scandals such as Whitewater (which was really Hillary's scheme to generate $$$), there is the issue of that Monica Lewinsky incident.
      #1  Adultery is a felony in 5 states and a misdemeanor crime in the others
      #2  Lying to Congress is a felony, and certainly grounds for impeachment.  Bill did boldly lie to Congress, yet got away with it.
      #3  Using one's position of power and authority to have sex with someone is at least sexual harassment, if not rape - both felonies and impeachable.  Certainly Bill Clinton sticking his dick in the mouth of Lewinsky in the Oval (Oral?) Office of the White House and also stuffing a cigar up her clam fits the definition of those crimes.

      .. meanwhile, while people are so fixated upon the FEDERAL government, they are ignoring what is going on it their own backyards with their corrupt state, county, and city governments.  Where I live, it goes even further than that.. some lunatic on my block tells neighbors that she is the president of the Homeowner's Association and she collects thousands of $$$ per year from some neighbors on the block who "voluntarily" give her money.  The problem is.. this neighborhood has not had an HOA for 16 years, and even when it did, that bitch was never an officer of it.  And yet.. so far, she has gotten away with it… so far!    ::)

      @lukazu:

      Just finished Ori and the Blind Forest and it ended up with so much love :love: and compassion 😊 .
      now looking for other games who falls in same category and visuals   ♥

      I have never found a good gay game.  There is no reason there should not be one.  Can you describe Ori and the Blind Forest?

      A lot of software is the product of fantastic programmers who got screwed over by the corporations.  Perhaps the best example of that is Libre Office, which is completely free, downloads very fast, installs very fast, and is BETTER than Microsoft Office.  It is made by a group of South American programmers that Microsoft screwed over.  They make more money out of the very few users that donate money than Microsoft was offering them.  I'm surprised that some frustrated, or creative & horny gaming programmers have not come out with a game that couldn't be sold at WalMart.

    • RE: Go TRUMP! Jobless claims at lowest level in 28 years!

      @GrumpyDawg:

      Everything President Trump and his team have produced so far has been against everything he campaigned on. If you supported his ideas during his campaign, how can you support what he has produced?

      The only thing I can support President Trump on right now is the shrinking of our tax code, it is clearly over complicated and only those that work the system benefit. However, how can we afford to spend so much on our military while our infrastructure crumbles, our student loan debt continues to spiral, and millions still have no health coverage?

      Just what campaign issues that Trump presented has he not been working to enact?  The flakey left has been doing nothing productive, and spending all their time doing anything and everything to obstruct Trump from getting anything done.  It isn't working, because he will get it all done in time.

      As for the 2nd part of your comment.  Trump has been president for about 4 months.  How is it that your hero Obama wasn't able to fix the infrastructure, student loan debt, and healthcare in EIGHT YEARS?  When Trump took office, he inherited a complete disaster.  Despite what Democrats think, black people, Hispanics, and women are not stupid, and they did not go out and vote for Hillary as expected.

      Both. They aren't mutually exclusive.

      One could say the American Flag is also racist…
      Consider the treatment of the American Indians, and the Japanese during WW2 among other things.

      @royalcrown89:

      This thread has gotten way  :ot: due to amicusets, so I'll bring the actual topic back in by saying this administration (the current one in the White House) is corrupt and this week was a major step in exposing the amount of corruption going on within the administration. I look forward to what's going to be revealed this upcoming week. I have a feeling we'll all be saying President Orrin G. Hatch pretty soon  :puke:

      You must sniff a lot of airplane glue to be so delusional.

      In the very rare instances when I make a mistake, I correct myself, point out my mistake, and don't repeat it.  I don't like to be wrong.
      People like you and DrWuss don't seem to have any problem being wrong about just about everything, and never regretting it, apologizing, correcting yourselves, nothing.  The only way a person could do that is if they are.. as I said.. DELUSIONAL.  You believe your own garbage.

    • Obama is his hero - but hates Obamacare

      Obamacare is without a doubt, the single biggest accomplistment / disaster of Obama's 8 year long regime.

      A certain celebrity is constantly posting crap praising Obama and demonizing Trump.
      He launched a major attack upon Trump's health care plan.
      I responded to him, in my typical astute manner of presenting undeniable facts.
      The celebrity replied to me, saying that while he likes Obama, he does not like Obamacare!

      Uh, how is that possible?  That doesn't add up!
      That is like saying, "I love hamburgers, but I don't like meat".

    • RE: Barack Hussein Obama is not a Muslim?

      @Negrescence:

      I didn't realize Muslim Americans do not salute the flag. Obama was never in the military and often forgets the custom and courtesies. Trump was also seen doing these things. Oddly, Melania is a foreigner and has been seen nudging Trump to show respects during the ceremonies. Immigrants are likely to know more about our country than the citizens. Those garbs Obama is wearing is called 'Batik". It's a traditional garb that predates Islam's arrival to Indonesia and is seen as formal wear just like a suit. I have a couple that were given to me as gifts and I've often worn them Indonesian gatherings and to the Consulate in Hawaii and California. None of them even ask about my religion or assume. They don't really care. There's a reason why so many people go to Bali for Vacation and you hear little from Indonesia when it comes to global terrorism.  Nearly all tourist buy them and wear them for the experience since they are everywhere. Indonesia is the worlds most populous country for muslims but Islam isn't the state religion. You can choose your religion and it is in their constitution. Also, many muslims in Indonesia say they're muslim "ktp". KTP is Indonesia for ID which means they're muslims per their ID and that is all. Since it has to be on their ID they choose one over atheism since atheism isn't allowed in Indonesia. Saying you're Muslim is the easiest road in Indonesia. Indonesia's approach to religion is similar to Singapore. They're just a lot poorer and have way to much land mass. Take i5 from someone who has been to Indonesia and speaks the language fluently, their is nothing he has done there that screams muslim or just curiosity and courtesy. When you visit the Temple of other religions you usually show your courtesy in kind. The whole muslim focus is just a push to rail people against him. Why is it that out of all the presidents Fox News often mentioned Obama's middle name. They wanted to well up peoples xenophobia/Islamophobia and coral them like sheep. He was treated entirely different from the right out of all the other presidents. That sounds like racism to me.

      I don't know what you are getting at, but Obama should never have been elected, and is probably the worst president of all time.  However, he was not trying to be a good president.  He was trying to help out muslim nations.

      Why is it that nearly 100% of black rap artists say "nigger" in virtually all of their songs?  I call that racism.  In fact, here is Obama talking  pussy and eating ribs.  wwwX.youtubeX.comX/watch?v=5bUa_S1a80g  (remove the 3 X's)

    • RE: Obama is a racist!

      @raphjd:

      Back to the topic.

      I don't think Obama was a racist, but he was clearly a race baiter and supreme cuck to SJW identity politics.

      People forget that Obama is half white.
      Also.. I have talked to quite a few black people about this.. and they all agree that Obama did practically NOTHING for black people.  The only people that Obama wanted to help was Muslims!

      Almost nobody knows that Obama first proposed marriage to a white woman, not Michael.  That is a fact.
      There are also quite a few people who claim that Obama used to go to gay bars in Illinois and had a boyfriend.  But.. that is not confirmed.  Obama's history is VERY hazy.  Hell, he didn't even produce a birth certificate until 1.5 years after becoming president.  And even then.. that certificate is shady.  He never would have produced anything if not for Donald Trump.  What I find far more significant than where he was born, is that he didn't reside in the USA until he was 13 years old.

    • RE: The greatet female potilitian?

      People can't seem to accept that women tend to make lousy managers, leaders, painters, composers, scientists, etc.

      I suppose the greatest women of all time would include:
      leader Indira Gandhi, leader Golda Meir, composer Yoko Ono (don't laugh.. she is considered the greatest female composer), scientist Marie Curie, warrior Queen Boudicca, leader Margaret Thatcher, leader Queen Elizabeth (Henry VIII daughter),  etc.

      My point being… one would expect that females would be 50% of the relevant people in history.. but in fact, they are less than 1%.

      My advice.. be gay.

      @amicusets:

      @raphjd:

      The separation of church and state ends when tax dollars are given to perform actions for the state.

      There is no codified separation. There is the no state establishment of a church. Giving money to a private company for a service is no different than giving money to a church for the same service.

      There is a world of difference.  A private company is liable in many ways for services.  A church is pretty much exempt from any liability.  Ever hear of priests molesting children?

      Instead of calling it Right and Left, they should have called it Right and WRONG.

      It is really pitiful how the libtards are so consistently wrong about everything.
      It seems to me that it should be possible to be a liberal and have some valid points to make.
      I despise that idiot new Supreme Court Justice Gorsuch - and I managed to skewer him with valid points.
      Too bad that Sen. Al Franken is like "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" who is anti everything republican, because Al has zero credibility, and his arguments against Gorsuch fell on deaf ears.  If a credible senator said the same things Franken did about Gorsuch.. Gorsuch would never have been confirmed.

      This is why the right now controls all 3 branches of government.. and the left is "left" to doing nothing but being obstructionists and whiners.

      http://filmsor.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/obama-fox-news.jpg

      A LIE?   You had to go back to Feb 6, 2011 to find an instance where Obama got interviewed by Bill O'Reilly?   Over 6 years ago?  Really?  That muslim terrorist was president for 8 years, and got a free-pass from the press.

      6 years ago, 8 years ago; how is that relevant to the quote made by amicusets? The quote was that President Obama "avoided" his critics but there is proof that he did multiple interviews with his critics. No one said anything about how frequent or rare it was, the statement was that he avoided his critics which is a blatant lie.

      I get it.. so RoyalCrown89 thinks that only doing 3 interviews with his critics in almost 3000 days is NOT avoiding his critics?  Let me make a picture for you RoyalCrown89.  This is 999 X's and one O which is 1 in 1000 (proportionate to 3 in 3000)
