@ricky Agree with Ricky there's a strong chance of a previous downloader receiving your Comment in his Messages, and reporting it right away. There is really no benefit to identifying a dupe in the Comments section, although members sometimes do. Use the Report Duplicate button instead to protect your discovery -- and chances of being first/50 points.

As for the initial post of this thread, it was a mini-rant which contained zero content for political debate and thus, was off-topic.  It did, however, do some empty bragging, and included a third-grade taunt in the headline and again, in the text.  For these reasons, I found no empirical evidence in the post to support that "functioning brain" claim.

While my ratio is solid by a few TB, I sent in a modest # of Euros for that promotion, because I realized that I receive a lot of, um, benefits from my ongoing time here.

Of course, a lot of donations help individuals keep their ratio at the proper level. But even if a member has a great ratio, I'd encourage those with the financial ability to donate from time to time.

I think I'm due again soon. And as I come from a marketing background, I would gently suggest that the Home Page promotion be updated from "New Year's."

From what I read long ago, Chubold was run by a single webmaster who, between growing older and the demands of upkeep, decided to sell the domain name and the existing content.

The new website is more colorful with better graphics, but interestingly, many of their "fresh" offerings have a dated look -- makes one wonder if they are recycling and renaming those older clips.

The truly oldest of their clips were generally fuzzy with poor lighting and oversaturated color -- I remember them!

Well over a year ago, I was friends with a member (of high Reputation) who self-changed his original name to AFU, which is generally a no-no on this site. He has some intrinsic learning challenges, and when he volunteered for the site, the training mentorship was unsuccessful, and he left.

Just by writing style alone, I think this AFU is a different individual. It would be curious if someone picked this exact name out of the blue. And when one clicks on the name, it leads nowhere. But if it is my old acquaintance, I'd love to hear from him.

The last example -- 15 torrents simultaneously, up to 150 per day. I can hardly comprehend how someone needs to choose so many desired files, especially when they could download at that rate again in 24 hours.

And, with so many downloads on a given day, does that not have the potential to nuke their ratio, unless they are pulling only from the newest uploads and Freeleeches?

I can hardly believe the maximum downloads could be watched and evaluated each 24 hours. But gentle, long-term members seems accepting about new arrivals striving for these massive maximums.
