I'd like to reinforce what LB is saying here:  Good sex requires communication, even if he's your BF/partner and you've done it together a thousand times.  Although I like porn (don't we all, or we wouldn't be here!), I think it's unreal to have guys screwing away with no communication about what they like/want/don't like/don't want/etc.

You can't tell how old a guy is by looking at him.  I've taught in middle schools, high (prep) schools, and universities.  I remember two 13-year-old guys who looked old enough that they had no trouble buying alcohol in the states (where the drinking age is 21).  I've also met juniors/seniors in university (likely 20 or 21) who looked five years younger.

Bear in mind also that mainstream media (i.e., Hollywood movies and TV) usually casts five or more years over the age of the character–characters who are supposed to be 18 are played by guys 23 or older; university students who are supposed to be 21 are usually played by actors 26-28 years old.  So a "real" 18 year old will often appear to be a lot younger than he is.

Some studios (e.g., Cobra) claim that they have "accidentally" filmed underage models; others (e.g., GayTeensStudio, now defunct) did so repeatedly and were shut down. So there is indeed some material out there that will claim to be legal, but in fact has underage models.  My suggestion is that if you have a film or scene with a model that you think is underage, just delete it.  If you think it's a really flagrant situation, report it to a moderator, but don't post the name of the torrent in the forum...or you'll get people who actually like that sort of thing to download it, and the problem just gets worse.

I believe Jay is saying, "if an actor looks under-age, then the material is inappropriate for this site, even if there is a compliance statement."  To be safe, I think this is a good approach, but we have to acknowledge that there's a lot of uncertainty here.  While a 10-year-old is clearly a 10-year-old, it's a lot less clear when guys are older.  I've taught at the junior/senior high and university levels, and I've seen lots of guys who were 20 and looked 16, as well  a few who were 16 who looked 20.  Mass media tends to distort our concept of age, because high school students are often played by actors who are 20, and college students are played by actors who are 25-30.

If this were a court of law, we could presume that a file is appropriate unless proven guilty.  Unfortunately, we don't have any means of getting proof here–so the real question is, "how do we decide if something is inappropriate?"  It comes back to instinct and subjective evaluation, which will never be perfect.  If we err on the safe side (which I think is a good idea), we have to accept that some torrents with entirely legal content are going to be deleted or excluded.  That's just the cost of doing business on a site like this.  I think it's a small price to pay--and there's no shortage of other content available through this site.

On a related note, I would suggest that we use judgment in how we deal with people who upload considered-to-be-inappropriate content:  It's one thing if the material is explicitly banned from this site or contains unquestionably underage actors--those people should probably be banned.  But in the case of the video that started this thread--from a now-defunct website that claimed to be compliant with US age limits--I think the user seeding that material can be counseled about the site's policies and permitted to stay.  I think we can be quick to condemn material, but we should be more cautious about condemning members.

All this discussion of disk images and iso files is interesting…but I keep thinking back to the question that kicked off this thread:

"Should I continue posting in ISO format only for porn ... or should I ... switch to clips and rips?"

If one looks at the statistics for items seeded in the last month, rips in .avi format often get snatched hundreds of times, while DVD's in ISO format seem to get snatched maybe 50-70 times.  (This is from a casual inspection, not a detailed analysis.)  So, it would seem that most people, including myself, prefer .avi format.

Of course, we're a community that honors diversity and difference in opinion, so I'm not saying that the majority has ruled and therefore people "should" seed only .avi format.  Maybe one solution is to seed both--upload a torrent with full DVD, whether native or ISO or split ISO or whatever--and then do a high quality rip and seed that, too.  This way everybody can enjoy the film.

I like the Full DVD so I can make quality AVI if I want to or I can watch it in full quality on my widescreen TV.  I  much prefer the Full DVD given the one choice.

and to celebrate our diversity…I prefer a good quality rip from DVD to AVI, defining "good quality" as (1) the same resolution as the DVD, and (2) minimal or no compression of the video.  These will play on many new DVD players and give the same result as playing the original DVD.  (I have a Philips DVD player that will play .avi files from a DVD, or from a drive plugged in to the player's USB port.)  These .avi rips are also easier/faster to download, because they're usually about 1.5 GB for a full-length film, instead of 4 GB.

But...it's important that the DVD rip be done with quality of the end-product in mind.  I don't have the software to rip DVD's myself, so I'm not going to criticize anyone who has ripped a DVD and seeded it here.  But I would suggest that people "rip for quality."

Then there are some studios (such as Hot Desert Knights, I believe), that will only use HIV+ guys in their scenes.  This is troublesome, because someone who is infected with one strain of HIV can conceivably get superinfected with another strain, which would managing the infection much more difficult.

I downloaded some films through another file sharing service with the words "baikal" and "azov" in the description.  When I played them, they were clearly child pornography (i.e., age = << 18).  I think these words are used as code for kiddie porn, even if the film is not from those studios.  I suggest that you do not seed this material…or even keep it on your computer.  This is only my opinion.

I still have the file on a backup drive.  It's only 1 minute 28 seconds, 10MB file, not large enough to seed here.  It's small enough to be emailed, so if anyone's interested, send me a PM and I can email it to you.  I'll try to attach a screenshot to this posting.

I downloaded a copy through another file sharing service.  There's a "Bedfellow.com" logo that appears at the end of the video; I don't know if they were the original producers or maybe they added it to a clip they found.  I think it was shot (!) by a better-than-amateur but not really professional group…the guy is sitting in an easy chair covered by a blue sheet, but it's done with ambient lighting and there's only one camera active, seemingly hand-held.  The style is similar to that of Fratmen.tv, but not as professionally done.

There are two distinct questions here:

1)  Should same-sex marriage be legal?  Absolutely.  Brother Raphjd identified the practical benefits.  Even more important, from a moral standpoint, there needs to be full equality for all people regardless of their gender or orientation, as Brother Juancho stated.

2)  Would I, myself, choose to exercise the right to marry?  Hmmm, I don't know.  I've been single for so long, it's hard for me to even consider it.

But, it's extremely important to separate the "what would I want to do" question from the "what should be legal" question.  Even if I don't foresee myself getting married, I want very much to have the right.  I refuse to be considered a second-class citizen.

I always fiddle with the options displayed after the "save" command, and adjust the tile height and width to one half that of the original video resolution.  This way people can see both what's going on in the film, and how good the image quality is.
