I'm not a fan of guns.  I think the UK has the right idea where even the police don't have guns.  I think the argument in this country is that there are plenty of gun laws.. but they are not enforced.

In Japan, the police don't carry guns. If you're one of the few that can get a gun for hunting there's a strict procedural: First, you must pass a test and retake that test every few years; the police come to your home each time you take that test; you have to prove you are mentally sound.

The police have to request permission to check a gun out from the station and every bullet is (supposed to be) accounted for. In all my years here there has only been one shooting and that was between Yakuza in Kyusyu.

You have a few options:

1. Go to Amazon and look up UST FOR MEN Color Gel Mustache & Beard. There are others, find one that works for you. BTW, you'll need to touch up ever three or four days for it to look natural. No biggie, takes five minutes.

2. You can have it lasered off. There are special lasers that target white/gray hairs. Problem solved. You can either target specific hairs or get rid of it all.

3. Pluck. It's painful but you can get rid of them that way.

Yeah, it's unfortunate. We're going to have the national gun debate again. Tax reform might pass because people are both distracted and disheartened. And if and when we find out the shooter was a leftist, oh gawd, the divide will grow as if Moses were parting it.

I can't think of any reason why anybody in the country, including cops, should be able to buy or possess fully automatic weapons.  Other than the military, what possible purpose could a fully automatic weapon have?

If Sandy Hook didn't get gun legislation through then the Las Vegas incident won't, either. The only thing that could possibly push it through is for a shooter to open fire at an NRA convention and kill that SOB who's leading it.

I disagree, but the reason a reason to allow the sale of automatic weapons is to defend ourselves in case our government overreaches and we need a new American Revolution. If the British had abolished guns for the colonists we'd likely still be under the crown.
