@draghigh yes, I was a member of the group, but I didn't know any of the other moderators. I only know one other member, and he doesn't know the moderators either.

RE: Band wrestling group
@draghigh No idea either. I'm hoping the moderators of the Band are still around.

RE: Best TV show you ever saw?
Probably The Sopranos. I haven't re-watched it in a while so I'm not sure if it holds up, but I remember being amazed with what they were getting away with, and how complex everything about the show was, especially when compared with every other drama that was airing at that time.

RE: Netflix Cancels Daredevil
I also guess that the recently released season of The Punisher and the upcoming season of Jessica Jones will be their last seasons as well.

RE: RuPaul's Drag Race Christmas Special
It really looked like they just rushed a Christmas episode because why not. It was great seeing a couple of the queens again, especially Sonique since she hasn't reappeared in any season since her season (2), but the ending - everyone wins! - felt like a cop out.

RE: Netflix Cancels Daredevil
I was also surprised that it got cancelled since the last season was pretty well received and it had a good number of viewers, but it sounds like Marvel is really pushing to have their shows in Disney's yet to be launched streaming service. I read somewhere that after the cancellation of the shows, the heroes that appeared in Netflix won't be allowed to be adapted into movies or TV until two years after the cancellation, which means we're in for a drought for the Defenders characters.

RE: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
I watch it regularly and love it. The show's darkly funny, the acting's great, and it's that odd combination of funny/sad that I like.

RE: Mad Men
It's one of my favorite shows of all time. It was always a bit of a hard sell to a lot of my friends since the pacing of the show is really slow to begin with, and then it gets even slower in season 2, so anyone expecting "Big" events to happen in each episode were in for disappointment. That said, my friends who watched and loved it, really loved it.
I loved how the characters would develop and regress depending on what was going on with their life. Sure, it's frustrating whenever Don decides to fix himself and then goes back to having an affair, but the show consistently framed it in such a way that made sense with the character and the narrative. Nothing anyone did felt out of character.
It's a shame that across the eight years the show was eligible, it only received one award for acting (for Jon Hamm and only for his final year eligible too) since the cast was amazing.

RE: RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 2 - Spoilers
Based on the performances up to the 6th episode, Alaska's definitely going to win though Katya's giving some really stiff competition for her. There seems to be some backlash against Alaska though since she's completely dominating the competition.

RE: RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 2 - Spoilers
This is only the second time Alaska did a lip sync, right?
Yes! This is only the second time that Alaska has every lip synced on the show. I really hope she wins.

RE: Opinion of New Captain America Comic?
I thought it was lame. It felt like a cheap twist to get people talking about the Captain America comic again after having had a freefall in quality since Ed Brubaker left. Also, it features what is possibly Jesus Saiz' worst published art; everything looks so stiff.

RE: Sully - the Tom Hanks movie. With Aaron Eckhart in pornstache
I watched it yesterday and I agree that it wasn't impressive. Tom Hanks was excellent in it, and it was otherwise competently made, as was expected from Clint Eastwood, but it felt narratively thin. There's really not a whole lot to the story that can be used to support its 96 minute runtime and it could have been cut down even more.

There a bit of everything here (drama, thriller, horror, comedy, surrealism) from several different countries. There's probably loads more I've forgotten but you should have enough to keep you going.
This is a great list!

Nemesis Games by James S.A Corey. It's book 5 of The Expanse series

RE: Anyone into asian music? Kpop or Jpop?
I generally prefer Jpop to Kpop though they have very similar feels; a couple of my friends are really into KPop, to the point of learning how to speak Korean so they can sing along. In Jpop, I really enjoy Ayumi Hamasaki's and Utada Hikaru's work.
