Bony butts are actually good for cycling seats! Find a seat that fits you and make sure you're bike is set-up properly. Visit a bike shop for help in body positioning. With proper fit and adjustments most of the weight should be right on your "sit-bones" as we call them and very little tissue or nerves are compressed. It's the big bums that have the most pain because their weight can't be carried by the sit-bones and is instead spread out over a lot of skin and muscle tissue leading to soreness.
That's very sad! As crappy as it can be being gay in America it sounds it may be better than even what we'd otherwise consider to be fairly progressive European or Scandinavian countries.
Mountain biking will develop upper body strength and core strength. Start off easy but then challenge yourself to more difficult trails and terrain. Find some friends to join you. You won't regret it!
Buy an olympic weight bar and plyo-box and do a bodyweight circuit (bar for certain exercises). Alternate core, legs, arms. Examples of exercises include squats, curls, presses, bench dips, jump-ups, step-ups, sit-ups, planks, push-ups, lunges, etc.
One of the most prevalent myths about HIV transmission is that mosquitoes or other bloodsucking insects can infect you. There is no scientific evidence to support this claim. To see why mosquitos don't aid in the transmission of HIV, we can look at the insect's biting behavior.
When a mosquito bites someone, it does not inject its own blood or the blood of an animal or person it has bitten into the next person it bites. The mosquito does inject saliva, which acts as a lubricant so that it can feed more effectively. Yellow fever and malaria can be transmitted through the saliva, but HIV does not reproduce in insects, so the virus doesn't survive in the mosquito long enough to be transmitted in the saliva.
Additionally, mosquitoes don't normally travel from one person to another after ingesting blood. The insects need time to digest the blood meal before moving on.
does anyone knows if it makes me lose muscles or dificults bodybuilding?
Pesta et al. found that although there was no significant decrease in things like grip strength, overall physical work capacity during bodybuilding decreased by 25% in those who used. This may be accounted for by what Renaud and Cormier found, which is that tested subjects who smoked marijuana 10 min before noted a slight but significant decrease in time to exhaustion. Steadward and Singh demonstrated that marijuana did not affect blood pressure, ventilation or oxygen uptake during submaximal exercises such as bodybuilding, however it did increase heart rate both during and after lifting.
I have a bad back, neck and shoulders situation going on as well, so much so that I did a bout of physical therapy for it. I mainly do stretches on a stability ball (such as making "T, I, W and Y" shapes with my arms) and push ups. I also try to stretch out my arms while standing them out by creating a "T" and pulling backwards as if I'm trying to pull my shoulder blades together. Lastly, a foam roller helps bring me relief and if you're able to afford $20 or so you can order a long, dense one off of Amazon.
Please let me know if you have any good tips as well because I would like to increase my ability to survive sitting for longer periods of time, haha.
Wow thanks for the fast reply. I feel for you man the pains sometimes unbearable. That foam roller looks/sounds interesting I'll try that.
To be honest, my tips aren't that good. All I did is to exercise (Train my back and shoulders) and put a pillow between my knees when I sleep since I have a bad posture while sleeping. And of course try not to slouch while sitting.
