I haven't attacked mhorndisk in this thread. I've attacked his posts and his argument (Supporting veganism whilst also supporting #45). So, being critical of someones argument/position does not mean you are attacking them directly.
If I were name calling (i.e. calling someone sick) then that would be directly attacking someone. 
I really like Linux Mint as it has a lot of features to make the linux experience more comfortable for former Windows users. One thing I really dislike about Ubuntu was that it updated the kernel by default to newer versions and that led to me experiencing some regressions.

Just look at how successful Germany is, it is really doing well economically and it is politically stable. The right will point at the migrant crisis as a means to bash the country, yet the US has many ethnic issues with its large diverse population, and it hasn't even taken many migrants by comparison.
Also, with Britain leaving the EU, Germany is going to have a much stronger role in both the EU and the world.
