    • RE: Replying to Your Own Posts

      @pppucci:

      You know I like to be the fact checker on this board.  I reviewed the posts from June.  Drwas basically spammed the board with multiple posts, most of which had no replies at all.  There were about 5 in which he replied to his own post, but he waited anywhere from 30-60 minutes before posting a reply.  In all cases, he was the only reply on the thread and it died there. If anything, he was   guilty of posting subjects no one was interested in discussing.
      Mhorndisk, however in multiple threads posts several replies in the first 15 minutes.  I think his record is here: https://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=51111.msg277877#msg277877
      He posted 4 replies in the first ten minutes after the OP.  It was just a rant, he certainly was not inviting discussion,
      It has nothing to do with the content.  It has to do with style.
      I thought this board was meant to facilitate the free exchange of ideas, not simply be a platform to declare your beliefs.

      P.S.  from the Rules for this Section:

      " If you routinely post nothing but childish comments that do nothing to further the discussion, that is a NO NO.

      If you can't or won't further the discussion, then ignore this section."

      Excellent fact-checking! Unfortunately, this board is clearly going downhill.

      @royalcrown89:

      Yes, a lot of the posts on here need to be moved to rants & raves. Topics like, "NWO can suck my dick" and "Obama a Satanic Whore" need to be moved to rants & raves immediately. There is no way we can have meaningful debate with a topics that have such toxic titles. How can we expect others on this site to want to participate in the Politics & Debate forum when it's filled with spam about nonsense? It would be okay if it was just one time but mhorndisk is posting like ten topics based on the same thing in the same day, and then he's constantly replying to himself to drown out other topics. It's becoming too much and something definitely needs to be done. Should we appeal to someone higher up?? I still want to participate here but how can we with this level of toxicity?

      Out of respect for raphjd, who I think is a reasonable man and has been doing this for over ten years, I would give him a chance to take action.  Failing that, I think we should appeal to someone higher up, especially if several of us do it so it does not seem the complaint of a single disgruntled user.  As far as I know, the site owner is Joker and there is no higher authority.  A post in one of the general forums should get his attention, should that become necessary.

      You are a fool.  When things don't go your way, you stomp your feet and pout.  Making threats and ultimatums to the moderator is a good way to find yourself looking on xtube for 15 second porn clips instead of the content that is here.

      If I don't see you on the site anymore.  Aloha!

      Frederick, what is with the ad hominem? Why not just criticize your opponents on the content of their posts rather than being subjective and using crude remarks? Again, language like this should be banned so that this board can finally progress.

      Might I suggest not starting threads in all caps? On the internet, typing things in all caps means you're shouting.

      I would love if this board were more civil, where we can have honest and open debates about politics and political issues. Unfortunately, it appears this has become more of a rants & raves board.

      @mhorndisk:

      What you said doesn't even make sense. Do you need to go back to elementary school so you can learn how to properly do arithmetic and reading? I don't think you comprehend what's being said. Maybe you need a graph. And yes, most likely you did vote for Hillary. It was Hillary or Trump, so yea… That's hardly narrow-minded.

      Again with the ad hominem… also, you do know that 1) Voting is not compulsory, so many did not vote 2) There are other candidates, and you can write in on a ballot.

      @mhorndisk:

      Nah, you just are butt-hurt and WHINING from all the ass-kicking and WINNING.

      Trump was right, I'm getting tired of winning so much… It's not challenging enough anymore.

      This is a typical empty chant that Trump says to his supporters. It means absolutely nothing, on its own, yet people like it because it makes them feel good.

      Glad to see that you can restate Trump's meaningless mantra, he would be proud!

      @mhorndisk:

      So 10 cents on the dollar might have went to the Trump Organization, and 90 cents on the dollar to the charity, although that is speculation, not fact, because you haven't actually seen the paperwork or the bills, so you have an allegation and an accusation, but really nothing solid or concrete.

      So, you made an assumption, could not back up the assumption, so you used it as a critique…

      @mhorndisk:

      Hillary on the other hand took 90% of the near one billion dollars raised for Haiti to "administrative costs." That's a fact that we DO know. In fact, during the VP debate, Mike Pence looked Tim Kaine square in the eye and said, the Hillary Foundation donates 10 cents on the dollar to charity, the other 90% goes to administrative costs. Tim Kaine changed the subject fast.

      I guess you don't care about those kids in Haiti, since you probably voted for Hillary, right? I guess that makes you an extraordinary hypocrite, doesn't it?

      Everyone I disagree with voted for Hillary! Love your narrow-mindedness, really I do! Also, are you saying that Trump's use of his business to enrich himself/family, while in elected office, is okay because Hillary did so? You do see your own hypocrisy, right?

      @mhorndisk:

      The WWF thing was clearly just a silly joke as our President has a sense of humor that over half the country connects with.

      Source for your "half the country" statistic, or your point is invalid. Also, are you saying the president is being unpresidential? I agree!

      @mhorndisk:

      If you don't get it, you're demented.

      Everyone who disagrees with you is demented, okay. Nice ad hominem!

    • RE: Trump Places Drinking Water on the Deregulation Block

      The thing is Trump is slashing a lot of federal regulations, leaving the regulations to the states and local municipalities. The problem with this is that many local and state governments are controlled by corporate interests that may not be so Eco-friendly. This is not to say that the federal government is immune from corporate control also, as it can be controlled.

      Even if states were to regulate water streams, many such streams cross state lines, therefore, a more broad federal water protection should be applied.

    • Dozens Greet Ben Carson in Baltimore to Decry his Cruel Cuts to Public Housing

      "There are 100,000 families in Baltimore who can't afford to pay their rent every month, but the Trump/Carson budget doesn't increase affordable housing, it decreases it very dramatically, so it's going to manufacture evictions and homelessness. We need a very different kind of housing policy and that's why we're here."

    • Trump Places Drinking Water on the Deregulation Block

      The Trump administration took a big step towards repealing water protection rules on Tuesday. The EPA and the Army Corps of Engineers unveiled a proposal to rescind the Waters of the US - WOTUS rule - following an executive order signed by President Trump in February. This comes on the heels of the Flint, Michigan water crisis where state and city officials were charged just a few weeks ago for mismanaging the drinking water supply.

      Research also suggests that 47 locations in 27 states are exposed to drinking water that has been affected by highly toxic perfluorochemicals. The study by the non-profit organization the Environmental Working Group and Northeastern University in Boston says the contaminated water is being consumed by 15 million people. Some estimates show that the WOTUS rule is actually protecting the drinking water for one-third of Americans, so will the regulation for rolling all of this back by Trump and Pruitt lead to more pollution and toxins in American drinking water?

      Meanwhile.. is Hillary indicted yet?  When is she going to prison?

      Questions you should be asking Trump, no?

      Last week, Trump WAS wondering why Hillary isn't being investigated.  The media didn't pay much attention to that comment that Trump made. Should I go find it for you?  Or you think you can find it yourself?

      The guy who said he was gonna appoint a "special prosecutor" (Trump) has yet to do so. Or have you forgotten?

    • Trump fundraiser…at his DC Hotel

      President Donald Trump was whisked a few blocks from the White House to the Trump hotel on Wednesday night for his first re-election fundraiser, where he raised an estimated $10 million behind closed doors.

      Some 40 months ahead of the 2020 election, the president held court for about two hours at a $35,000-per-plate donor event at the Trump International Hotel. About 300 people were expected to attend the event, which was expected to raise about $10 million, said Lindsay Jancek, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee.

      If you bothered to pay attention, I have always maintained that I hate Trump almost as much as I hate Hillary.  That's why I couldn't vote for either.

      Apparently Bill Clinton was an adult in a child's body.. aboard the pedophile "Lolita Express"

      So sad.

      How far left do you require your "news" source be to know that Rachel Maddow had Trump's tax return months ago.   It was leaked, by Trump himself.

      Fucking catch up.

      It was not a recent Tax filling that was leaked. And it was assumed that Trump did it, but no evidence of such.
