    • RE: Lets work towards finding common ground and build solutions from there

      @royalcrown89:

Common ground is extremely difficult to achieve when people refuse to see other viewpoints. For example, I have condemned awful behavior on the left even though I am liberal. I have yet to see any condemnation by members here who are more right or center-right on awful behavior on the right. I've literally prompted people to see if they would condemn disgusting acts committed by people on the right and every single time there was zero condemnation. Therefore, it's only me condemning bad behavior on the left and absolutely no one but fellow liberals condemning bad behavior on the right. That has to change or we can't even start to reach common ground in this forum. It cannot be this one-sided.

Same here, I thought what Kathy Griffin did was appalling, but it was a form a free speech. The right, especially on this forum, does not condemn violent anti-muslim/minority violence on their side and just avoids discussing it.

Also there is a lot of shilling for better Putin/Trump relations, even though Putin's country oppresses gays.

I agree, I'm more left of center and would like to have some common ground.

      You are way left Sutieday!

If you want some common ground, you can start by getting your facts straight, stop spamming, stop clicking "thumbs down" on everyone that you don't like regardless of what they post, stop making things up, and stop lying.

Posts like these are why it's difficult to find any common ground. People claiming they want free speech until it goes against them.

      @raphjd:

Using an ultra leftist site to slag off Trump.   Really?!   :crazy2:

Here is a non-ultra left site:

      http://www.cnbc.com/2017/05/10/trump-is-losing-some-support-from-key-parts-of-his-base-poll-says.html

But, it's clear you don't care about the content of the post and will just criticize its source. Unfortunately, Infowars/Breitbart aren't going to make and articles critical of they're cash cow.

Ivanka and Jarred are both democrats. Neither have ever voted for republicans. They have given small donations to republicans but nothing compared to what they give to democrats. Hell! Even Trump played both sides of the fence for the longest time. He never voted for a republican until 2012. Before that, he was a democrat in the same way as his kids.

While it is true that Trump was once a registered as democrat.. the democrats of that era are not the same as the Obama democrats. Reagan used to be registered as a democrat also.  I don't know why you and Sutieday keep insisting that Ivanka and Jared are both democrats.  You just make shit up and post it, which is why you have no credibility.  Keep on digging yourself in, because the next time you post that fallacy, I will prove I am right.. AGAIN.. and I will have even more credibility.
      Go ahead.. make my day!

Nice No True Scottsman…er...No True Democrat fallacy!

Even though polls don't mean diddly squat..  but will you continue to post your polls next week when Trump's popularity begins to rise even amongst you moonbats?

If not.. perhaps someone else will assist you.

Deny facts that don't fit your narrative #PoorlyeducatedTrumpsupporters

Yet another pointless post by Sutieday.  At least you are consistent.

I hope the democraps continue posting their polls of Trump's popularity.. because if they don't, then I will have to do it.  By the way.. as I pointed out last week.  Trump is more popular even NOW than Bill Clinton was at this point in his presidency.

You're actually kind of right, Trump is pretty popular…with the banking elite and ultra rich! Just look at his cabinet members

      https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2017/01/19/trump-rich-cabinet/

I do like Trump's daughter Ivanka, she is pro refugee and a democrat, hopefully she sets her father in the right direction, then his popularity with average people will rise.

So congratulations, you've proven a point. You're just as meaningless a poster as DrWas

Your mind is blown, I'm sure.

Wow!  My mind IS blown!  The first person to call out DrWas.

It's almost as if I know some online debate etiquette!

Yup, I'm intimately familiar.  Which is how I know which buttons to press to get people like you so mad, and to get people to realize how hypocritical they are.  You know my entire post shows clearly how I was doing this on purpose right?  To prove a point, which I think everyone now gets.  HOPEFULLY, the spamming will stop now that it has been beaten to death.  If it doesn't?  Well I'm still here.

You trigger people.. you admit you enjoy triggering people.. then when they react you complain

just take it as a win and move on

All any poster does on this political forum is post to trigger reaction then complain at the reaction they wanted.. makes no sense

      So True!

Exactly, who says I like Obama? Numerous times have I said his Saudi support was bad as well.

rather than talking about the actual issue, which isn't necessarily a problem with any single administration.

I'm blaming the Trump administration for giving money to Saudi Arabia and the recent terror attacks that have occured afterwards in the UK, and Iran.

You have yet to give anything critical of the Trump admin and instead just pivot to Obama, who is not currently the president.

Sutieday.. I don't recall you ever mentioning Obama giving Iran $150 billion, including a secret payout of $400 million in blatant ransom in 2016.
By the way.. where did you dream up the idea that the Trump administration ever gave money to Saudi Arabia?

I see more examples of Trump's "poorly educated" supporters everyday  ;D

Who says I like Trump?  You think I do but you don't know that, you're just assuming.  Calling out your intellectual dishonesty doesn't mean I think selling weapons to SA is a good thing.

Are you going to criticize Obama now that you know?

You're only argument is that what Trump is doing is okay because Obama did it, and no its not.

Your argument is just tu quoque, trying to deflect from criticism of your guy (#45) and criticize someone else.

Your post is nonsense, I'm critical of the president and regardless of the party they belong to. I know Obama's admin was working towards the Saudi deal, but Trump was the one who signed it.

Obama didn't just propose a deal, he actively sold weapons to Saudi Arabia throughout his presidency.

Ah, so maybe you were being truthful about criticizing regardless of party, but were just ill informed?  Maybe you would've criticized Obama too, if you knew he also sold billions of dollars to SA?  Yes/no?

Right now, I'm criticizing Trump because of his Saudi deal. I'm not gonna pivot because it suits your narrative. Trump lied when he said he wasn't a puppet, he is clearly a Saudi puppet.

How so? Opening a topic generally means you discuss that topic.

I'm talking about the comment made by the Trump WH towards this terrorist attack, not being partisan, just critical of it.

      It's called being Intellectually Honest.

What you are doing is called Intellectual Dishonesty.  It is blatantly obvious to literally everyone that you wouldn't criticize any other democratic president in the same way, because, well you haven't.  Let's see if this post is something anyone could see you writing:

Oh the irony! Barack's support of Saudi Wahhabism by his $115 billion+ billion arms deal is what is fueling terrorism! Iran is fighting ISIS!

      How will Libtards defend him?

No, of course not, you didn't write that post at the time, and you would never write that post about Hillary either.

      Because, let's face it:

Your post is nonsense, I'm critical of the president and regardless of the party they belong to. I know Obama's admin was working towards the Saudi deal, but Trump was the one who signed it.

I hope that Congress can overrule him with the help of good republicans like Sen. Rand Paul.

Sad to see the typical purveyors of anti-Muslim/anti-liberal bigotry have invested this post. No discussion between the different ideologies followed by Saudi Arabia (Sunni) and Iran (Shia), and why they hate one another.

I guess its easier to be bigoted than to think critically.

Your opening post declared your partisan view of the topic.

You didn't want to talk about anything other than Trump.

How so? Opening a topic generally means you discuss that topic.

I'm talking about the comment made by the Trump WH towards this terrorist attack, not being partisan, just critical of it.

On a side note: It is ironic how those on the right say they support free speech, but then whine about downvotes and people opposing their views.
