Don't even pretend like "evidence" or "facts" have any place in your vocabulary. Those concepts are meaningless to people who maintain blind loyalty to a party.
man, you are really harsh on yourself there.

Dude, what you described is flat out sexual assault. Go to the police.

“They have had people walking around with sticks and baseball bats late at night causing property damage,”
So now students are going around with baseball bats and smashing shit. Can someone say brownshirts????
The more liberals stay silent on this story, the more damning it is. It's time to disavow liberals, for your own good, lol! Do you really want to let these literal fascists show the country what your platform truly means? YOUR SILENCE IS DEAFENING.
As it always has? Liberals in the 40s:
It's obviously not just New Zealand going through this. For example:
These type of posters are up across all over U.S. campuses. The message is clear: an accusation is sufficient to assume guilt. Guilty until proven innocent.
Bump.
So liberals are seriously just going to ignore this? They're just going to pretend like it didn't happen or something?
Anyone?
Bret Weinstein is a biology professor at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash., who supported Bernie Sanders, admiringly
…
This professor’s crime? He had the gall to challenge a day of racial segregation.
TLDR: Racist students call for a "day of absence" where they tell white people not to come to campus. Professor dissents, students RIOT. (NY Times article)
The professor is forced off college campus due to tangible threats, college students seek hostages.
“Police told me protesters stopped cars yesterday, demanding information about occupants,” Mr. Weinstein told The Washington Times. “They believe I was being sought. It appears that the campus has been under the effective control of protesters since 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police are on lockdown, hamstrung by the college administration. Students, staff and faculty are not safe.
Threats force closure of the entire college campus.
Are liberals here going to ignore this blatant racism and downplay it because "their side" is doing it? Or are you going to disavow and apply those anti-racism principals you guys claim to have? I'm honestly curious on the liberal response.
So much for free speech, Welcome to Putin's América.
It's funny how you are blaming Trump/Putin, when it's your side that set a building on fire with people in it to prevent "wrong speak". It's your side that set a girl's hair on fire for wearing a Trump hat. It's your side that attacks a retired couple who was walking their their dog because they look like someone who would support free speech.
The list is long on liberals getting violent because they don't like free speech.
And you guys slit the throats of men defending muslim women on trains!
Lol that was one of you guys, a diehard Bernie and Jill Stein supporter who killed those men. But keep projecting I'm sure you'll convince someone one day!
Where's the hypocrisy or double standard, though? The photo of her got removed from social media left and right on my feeds. It's just being reposted rather quickly which is why it's still up. Pretty much all social media platforms have had to double down on content like that since Facebook live's string of murders recently.
The poster got banned for that image. As far as I know, Kathy Griffin didn't get banned from twitter for posting, even though it was literally the exact same thing. That's a double standard, based on political affiliation of the user. One set of rules for liberals, another set for conservatives.
Secondly, liberals defending Kathy Griffin, saying how Trump/Trump supporters are snowflakes for saying the piece went to far. lol. They're mad that the outrage machine is coming back to bite one of their own in the ass. Liberals invented outrage culture. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
It is beyond my comprehension how Kathy Griffin could claim that she is the victim after holding up a realistic bloody severed head of Donald Trump. Oh boo hoo.. poooor Kathy. Kathy's career is based upon tearing down other people, ridiculing the way they dress and look. Outing celebrities, etc.
It also amazes me that even after having every plastic surgery known to modern science.. she is still a wrinkly old bag.dude, it's a shock-comic doing shock comic things. stop trying to pretend like her joke that didn't land somehow represents something far greater.
it's nowhere near the news that people are trying to make it. grow up and get over it.
It's the hypocrisy. People get banned on social media for far, far less satirizing Obama, or ironically, Cathy Griffin herself. E.g., someone got banned from twitter for posting this image:
Do you realize how insane a double standard this is?
The solution to offensive speech is more speech, not less.
Let me get this straight. Scientists all over the world from every country are mostly in agreement that climate change is real.
Trumptards completely disregard all of that science because the guy who sells steaks at the mall tells them to. It's a world gone mad…...
News about this administration makes my blood boil on a daily basis. We are literally in the twighlight zone.
Yes, pod people like you are extremely scary.
What makes my blood boil is the fear mongering by the left and the blind knee jerk reactionary you, and others show in this thread.
-Trump wanted to re-negotiate the treaty. He thought that it wasn't fair for the U.S.
-Nope, non-negotiable.
-Okay, we're out.
-OMG YOU HATE THE ENVIRONMENT, ARE ANTI-SCIENCE AND LITERALLY BRINGING ABOUT THE "APOCOLYPSE" (also racist, because we can't waste an opportunity to call your racist).
Here is CNN saying that Trump is bringing about the apocolypse:
Here is the ACLU calling Trump racist for not ratifying the treaty because reasons?
I wrote dozens of papers in college about saving the environment, conserving water and minimizing waste. I ride my bike everywhere, don't own a car by choice, and do everything I can to minimize my carbon footprint. And you? I guarantee you have a larger footprint than I do, and 99% chance you own a car. So don't even bother telling me that I'm anti-environment for supporting Trump and his decision.
When your leftwing media and institutions can't even discuss this in a rational manner without spilling their spaghetti everywhere, there's a problem, and it's not Trump. It's the pod people, who blindly believe anything the big glowing box dictates to you, not recognizing that hey, maybe there's so god damn nuance.
How do you deal with family members that are right winged/Fox News/ Trump Supporters?
You don't need to "deal" with them in any way for having different opinions than you. How about acting like an adult and realize that not everyone needs to have the same beliefs as you? Wow, what a concept huh?
You aren't upset that Trump is being dehumanized, you're upset an African American woman would dare want to be considered a human being,
Ridiculous double standard and barefaced too.
White supremacist , especially gay white supremacist are so ridiculous,
What gay white supremacist? How is that relevant to anything in this thread?
YOU MEAN " Thanks Obama!!
The orange orangutan hasn't been in office long enough to effect anything.
The market very distinctly rallied the day Trump was elected. That is a direct effect. Liberals are showing an astounding amount of tribalism in this thread, and it causes people to take your other issues with Trump much less seriously.
+95% of Trump voters do not regret voting for him. That's pretty good retention. Continue acting petulantly as you are, and you'll enjoy another four years.
Trump can't take responsibility for this (even though he will).
He has enacted no legislation or otherwise to improve the economy. No tax reforms. No new healthcare changes (affects 14 million jobs) etc. The momentum for improved employment has been in place for years before his inauguration. We've yet to see his plans for the economy.
Are you kidding? The majority of his speeches and addresses to the public, (if you've ever watched which is clear you haven't), talk about the economy and what he is doing to improve it. Specifically, he has worked with industry leaders in order to bargain and negotiate with them to bring back industry and manufacturing jobs to the U.S.
The market itself is not a static entity that only responds to legislation alone. Investors perform market speculation and invest based on what the perceive to be the near future market potential; some of that speculation is clearly due to Trump's pro-business stance.
You know, I can actually understand why liberals are against Trump on immigration issues and climate change issues for instance, but when you start claiming that Trump doesn't know what he's doing on the business side, which is clearly his primary strength, you really have to take a step back and evaluate your tribalism.
Rather than considering each issue individually, you are clearly being tribal here and automatically deciding based on your tribe. This approach weakens the fuck out of your other claims, such as immigration issues, which you may be able to make more legitimate points about.
It's also one reason why Americans overwhelmingly mistrust the mainstream media; when the media keep making headlines on how Trump gets two scoops of ice cream, it makes them look petty as shit and causes people to be less inclined to listen to them on more serious matters.
First of all, YOU are a SJW.
Here you are, constantly doing battle based on your political beliefs.
That makes you a SJW.
That's not the defining characteristic of a SJW. Go look up the definition.
No, this doesn't put me at odds with the left. I can denounce this awful behavior without turning my back on what I believe in. I could never be a conservative because I would have to hate certain parts of my identity to become a conservative. I am a proud black gay man and I could never knowingly support legislation or ideas that will hurt myself or the people I care about in my life. I do believe some conservatism is needed when it comes to balancing both the federal and state budgets, but other than that it is the complete opposite of what I believe in. I'd become independent before I ever become a conservative. I grew up and live in South Carolina. It would be a cold day in Hell before I align myself with someone as disgusting as Strom Thurmond or Joe Wilson. No amount of violence from the left would ever push me to support blatant racists.
I am also a gay man of color (hate that phrase but I disgress). And that is one of my previously held beliefs that I ultimately questioned and found to be false.
Conservative on the whole, on the average, do not hate blacks or other minorities.
Here's a clear case in point: do you think any of us here who are conservatives actually hate you for being black? We may talk mad trash to you and call you libtard or whatever, but never because you are black. We also have different opinions on what should be considered "fair" in terms of racial issues, but by no means does that mean we hate you.
I'm not going to whitewash the racist deep south and racist past that I'm sure you must have experienced. But just like the Democrats are no longer the party of the KKK or associated in anyway, the Republican party is changing… and quickly. I'd say it's quickly becoming a party of Nationalism and Libertarianism, and no longer of deep social conservatism or religious conservatism. To be fair, our conservative leaders are still lagging behind, but the change in the voice, the essence, the energy of the party is apparent to anyone who's become a part of it.
So I think I do understand where you're coming from. But just like you aren't opposed to the Democratic party because of it's deeply racist past, by the same token, you should not forever condemn the Republican party. Think about it. Thanks.
First, I agree with Frederick, that people need to be more civil in their political discourse. Passion is fine, but personally attacking people is not. You get nowhere.
Now, to outline some facts.
The above provided link contains the termination letter Trump sent to Comey, and it has the two letters submitted to the white house from BOTH Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein. The Deputy Attorney General, upon being nominated to the position a few months ago, was the longest serving US Attorney at the time, having served for about 30 years. If you read the documents in the above provided link you will see Jeff Sessions wrote a very brief letter stating he supported the conclusions of the Deputy Attorney General. It was the Deputy Attorney General whom drafted a Memoranda outlining his reasoning for recommending the removal of Comey as FBI Director. In that Memoranda, of which you can read, he cites multiple former Attorneys General and Deputy Attorneys General that served presidents of BOTH parties over the past 30+ years that came to the same conclusion that Comey was no longer fit to serve as head of that law enforcement agency.
Until there is definitive proof of collusion between the Trump and Russia, of which none publicly exists at this time, then you cannot jump to conclusions. Democrats and Republicans had called for Comey's firing. Now that it was done, Democrats are freaking out. Why can't people look at things through a non-partisan lens once in a while? I will be right there calling for Trumps impeachment if evidence comes to light that he directly worked with Russia or had knowledge that members of his campaign were working with Russia to sway the election; however, until that happens I will not jump to any conclusions like so many people are willing to do.
I feel like Jeff Sessions should not have had a say-so at all. His name should be nowhere near any of this given the conflict of interests. And nope, you cannot say "Democrats are freaking out" without providing the overall context behind why Democrats AND some Republicans (there goes your partisan argument) are freaking out. You're skipping one big question: Why in the world was Comey fired NOW? The White House needs to provide more details and be slightly more transparent about what brought them to this conclusion NOW. Why was then-candidate Agent Orange rooting for Comey and the reopened investigation into Hillary Clinton and now-president Agent Orange finds what Comey did "unacceptable?" Context is key. This does not add up; hence, people are freaking out.
The details were provided - Comey was removed based on the recommendations of the attorney general and the deputy attorney general. Those recommendation letters were attached to the firing letter.
As for "WHY NOW", isn't that exceedingly unreasonable to expect the administration to act immediately? They needed to review the facts, review the testimony and I'm sure tons of other things in order to make the best decision according to their own beliefs. I'm sure all of that takes a huge amount of time.
As far as the hypocrisy angle, seriously, I'll just leave this here:

The liberal mainstream media hypocrisy is astounding, and it's beyond my ability to even understand how anyone still has faith in the reporting by the media on this issue.
