I have not seen anybody mention who qualifies for having their student loans canceled.
Most interesting is what is a high school graduate in 2024 supposed to anticipate when they go to college? Should they get a job, save their money, choose a local college, etc. Or should they forget about all of that, pick the most expensive university there is, pay for it with student loans, and expect that they will never have to repay those loans?

Europe has extremely high petrol/gas tax.

Gordon Brown (Tony Blair's tax man) put in an "escalator" which increases petrol and diesel taxes 2p per liter each year.

It was put on hold due to covid but it's coming back 1 Oct this year.

In the UK, the local council is responsible for that, not the police. Most, if not all, councils contract it out to NPC to enforce parking. NPC owns the vast majority of the parking garages and lots in the UK.

The police are too busy bringing soda, tea, and sandwiches to protesters blocking the roads.
