Netiquette says that if you make a thread that asks a question, then you must give your answer to that question.

The only time this does not apply is for research (must clearly be stated as such) where the OP doesn't want his/her answer to affect other people's answers.

Same-Sex Kiss Gets Teens Kicked Off Bus

      by 365Gay.com Newscenter Staff

      Posted: June 12, 2007 - 4:00 pm ET

(Portland, Oregon) Portland transit officials are investigating a complaint that two teenage girls were kicked off a city bus after exchanging a kiss.

The 14 year olds say that they were on a TriMet bus on Monday, heading home from school when they kissed.  After another passenger complained the driver allegedly called them to "sickos" and told them to "knock it off".

One of the girls told television station KTVZ that her friend was visibly upset by the driver and that she then tried to comfort her with a hug.

At that point, the girl said, the driver ordered them off the bus.

TriMet said it is investigating the complaint and wants to speak with the driver.

Fetsch said it is against TriMet?s policy to kick minors and ?vulnerable? people off the bus.

The girls parents say they are considering lodging a civil rights complaint against the driver.

Last month Oregon Gov. Ted Kulongoski signed into law an amendment to the state's non-discrimination laws that includes sexual orientation.

The law, however, does not take effect until Jan. 1.

LGBT rights groups had been fighting for enactment of the change for more than 30 years.

**I am glad this was not me. It would not have been pretty.

It is interesting how around the world, different areas are subject to different PDA (public display of affection) tolerances.

If this story, among thousands more- including Matthew Shepard does not influence everyone to be wise of your surroundings, then I feel for you. These were two 14 year olds. Girls at that… you would think the guy would be okay with it lol (If he was str8?)

I remember being 14... but I was in a very Gay Accepted state with a lot of very strict laws regarding hate crimes and such. We would usually make out just to scare old people! Naturally, I and any of my friends and acquaintences have always expressed careful PDA judgement when it has come to children being around. They are too vulnerable to influence- not that influencing them to love, and not to hate isn't such a bad thing...

Only when the MAJORITY of the world does not hate, will the world be a better, safer place.**

While looking for more articles about this ass clown, I noticed that not 1 single article by him condemned lesbian sex.

So it appears he's a typical bigoted hetero male that likes watching girl-girl action but hates the idea of guy-gay action.

Albert Snyder of York, Pa., sued the Westboro Baptist Church for unspecified damages after members demonstrated at the March 2006 funeral of his son, Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder, who was killed in Iraq.

The federal jury first awarded $2.9 million in compensatory damages. It returned in the afternoon with its decision to award $6 million in punitive damages for invasion of privacy and $2 million for causing emotional distress.

The church and three of its leaders - Fred Phelps and his two daughters, Shirley Phelps-Roper and Rebekah Phelps-Davis, 46 - were found liable for invasion of privacy and intent to inflict emotional distress.

Of course, the Phelps clan plans to appeal and are confident the verdict will be overturned.

This shows you can treat gays like shit and still get into the EU.

So much for the claims that you must a good human rights record to join.

I personally love Google's annual April Fools jokes.  Yesterday they were called "Topeka" instead of "Google" at their homepage.

I grew up in McHenry IL. 🙂

Illinois has been extremely liberal over the years.

It was one of the first states to revoke the ban on interracial marriages. Note that only certain towns and counties had this ban {mostly in the southern part}, not the whole state. The state made a blanket removal of the ban across the state.

It was one of the first to revoke ban on sodomy.

Chicago was one of the first to offer benefits to same sex partners of city employees.

Using Firefox will not help unless the problem is viewing media directly from the internet and have the the proper codecs and it's all set up properly.

While having the right codec helps, if the stuff you already has is corrupted, then it won't help.

Also, too many codec is a bad thing, just get what you need. Many times people go crazy and get conflicting codec and that causes the problem.

I don't think Schwarzenegger personally cares whether or not same-sex marriage is legal in California. His chief of staff is a lesbian, and he equivocated earlier this year about whether he woud sign a same-sex marriage bill if it passed in the CA legislature.

The Calif. legislature did pass a bill legalizing same-sex marriage in 2005 (the only state legislature to do so) but Schwarzenegger vetoed it – almost certainly for political reasons. He didn't want to be embroiled in the referendum that would be sure to follow.
