no one ever assumes a white guy beating up a black guy is just "some drunken brawl" they chalk it up as racial violence, a hate crime, white supremacy being on the rise etc. part of why some white people find it hard to defend themselves against black people when attacked for fear of coming off as racist since people will automatically assume it was the "white racists" fault ::)

Don Lemon and Simone Sanders said "it aint no hate crime" about the Chicago kidnapping because it was a white victim and black perpetrators. Even after the 4 criminals admitted it was a hate crime, CNN still refused to label it as such.
Even a liberal should realize that if the races were reversed, it would immediately be deemed a hate crime just from the livestream video by the criminals. Then again, modern liberals are too thick to get it.
