There is a limit of concurrently downloading torrents depending on upload, ratio and user status controled by the tracker. See the Uploading Rules > https://www.gaytorrent.ru/rules.php#96

RE: Can't Download Anything
Split off and move. Now to the subject:
Can you please try to restart your computer, so that all caches are cleared. If that doesn't help, is there any status indication from the tracker in the torrent's details view?
Something like "working …", "off line", "time out", "bad ratio ...", "unregistered torrent pass" ... ? If yes, what does it say?

RE: Unregistered t pass
That tracker URL is missing your passkey and that is the reason why the tracker returns "Failure: unregistered torrent pass"
The URL just above includes the personal secrete passkey and that is why it displays working (in funzione)
You've got tow possibilities:
1/ just ignore that failure, it doesn't harm2/ right mouse button click on that tracker URL and select "Remove tracker" from the drop down list. Then only the working tracker URL remains listed and the error is gone.
Remark: When you create a .torrent file, you'll usually do that without your secrete passkey. µTorrent is default to start seeding once created a .torrent file. That is good for public trackers without passkey system (e.g. The Pirate Bay). However on private trackers, that is the wrong way and should be deselected. Not having deselected it can explain why you got that tracker URL without the passkey in that torrent details.
Then when you re-download the small .torrent file from GayTorrent.ru, it will have the passkey inserted. You must have done that, because the other URL got your passkey. This principle:
- Create a torrent.
- Upload it to the tracker.
- Re-download it from the tracker (to have the passkey inserted).
- Add to the torrent client and point the download to the directory with the file from which the torrent was created,
is typical for all the private trackers I know

RE: Possible to not see certain categories?
You can set which categories should be included in the default "Search", as soon as you select one, the non-selected will not be shown. This doesn't make them totally invisible, you then can still select to add a category to enlarge the "Search" result list or use the "set all" or "Clear all" buttons.
The selection is in your profile settings, which you reach by clicking the "Profile" item in the blue menu band, then "Browse default
categories". The selection there effects both "Browse" and "Search" page. As said above you can edit the "Search" for ap articular search.Regarding scat, the best we got at the moment is to add at the end of the search terms "-scat" (without the quotes), which will then not show any torrent with the word scat in the searched fields. Perhaps you would even use "-scat -shit" (but shit might be used in other context than scat movies.

RE: Can't download torrent to seed because ratio is too low
That is the typical misunderstanding in the upload process new uploaders have on private trackers (I had it too, when doing my first own torrent).
What is needed to be downloaded, is only the small .torrent file and not the big shared data file (here mostly a movie file). First time uploaders go fast, download the .torrent file and add it to the torrent client, which then will try to download the data file (movie), which won't work, even with good ratio.
The download of the .torrent file is required, because at download the personal secrete passkey is added into the .torrents file information. That passkey is missing in the originally created and uploaded .torrent file. The "trick" is to make sure the torrent client finds the big data file (or the folder with the files) from which the torrent had been created originally when adding the .torrent file to "download". Then it will check the existing file, which should match, and start seeding instead of trying to download.
There exist two principles to achieve that:
1/ Copy the big data files (or folder) into the default download directory of the torrent client before you add the downloaded .torrent file to it. This method is quite universal.
2/ With the right UI settings (e.g. µTorrent's and BitTorrents default out of the box settings) good torrent clients show a window with the torrent's files and the target download directory when adding a torrent. Here the target directory needs to be changed to the directory where the fie (or folder) from which the torrent was created is located.
I see the opening poster has managed to seed his upload, so this seems be solved and that can explain as well his better share ratio.

RE: Almost every torrent uploaded are taken down (DMCA)
There are daily about 100 torrents uploaded for which GayTorrent.ru doesn't receive a takedown notice, so it must be your uploads …

RE: Large Collection - All In One Place, or Broken Up Bite Sized?
The Upload Rules mention "(…) If you do not seed your upload within 3 days, it will be deleted and need to be resubmitted. (...)" is meaning torrents where not a single byte was uploaded, i.e. the uploader never got it to seed.
There is no limit in duration of the initial upload as long as the uploader has uploaded only one new own torrent with not yet completed initial upload. That is on purpose to allow members with lower upload rates to upload bigger torrents. They can well manage to upload a dull DVD Video or a bigger HD movie in a few days, we might else not see here at all. Uploader are a very rare species.
If an uploader choose to upload more than one own torrent at a time, we however ask him to upload complete the initial upload of each of them 24 hours after it has uploaded. This is to avoid that the downloading peers have to wait unnecessary long to complete their downloads.
When a torrent has partly initial seeded, it won't be deleted as long as there remains some hope the uploader will complete the upload. We'll contact him by PM and will track if there is progress (not every uploader can have his computer run 24/7).
Uploader of collections should calculate the duration they'll need to complete the initial upload depending of their internet connection upload rate and the approximate daily seeding duration. If it will take longer than 3 days, they should start to consider to split the collection into smaller parts; A week, might still be acceptable, but nowadays many downloaders got used to get their files in a few hours.
It is very difficult to define a size limit, the differences in upload rates of internet connections got just to different. Here some examples based on 24/7 seeding with max. upload rates (possible if there are multiple downloading peers):
a) Rural long distance ADSL connection 512 kb/s down-, **128 kb/**s upload
- 10 GBytes file needs about 7 days, 14 hours
- about 4 GB in 3 daysb) Urban ADSL+ connection 10Mb/s down-, 1024 kb/s upload
- 10 GBytes file needs about 23 hours
- about 32 GB in 3 daysc) Cable modem 30 Mb/s down, 5 Mb/s up
- 10 GBytes file needs about 4 hours 30 minutes
- about 160 GB in 3 daysd) Basic fibre optics to the home 100 Mb/s down-, 10 Mb/s up
- 10 GBytes file needs about 2 hours 15 minutes
- about 316 GB in 3 dayse) Symmetrical fibre optics to the home or basic seedbox 100 Mb/s down- and 100 Mb/s upload (the upload here is a theoretical value and impossible reach in practice
- 10 GB file needs about 15 minutes
- about 6 TB in 3 days (Seedboxes often got a monthly traffic limit, well below that …)f) There are as well 1 Gb/s seedbox plans, but with a small community like GayTorrents.ru's, it is unlikely that it can be made use of the bandwidth on a single torrent. i'd expect no difference to case e), except by coincidence a downloader itself got such a seedbox.

RE: Re.duplicate

RE: Tracker Not Tracking Correctly.
I think your seedbox' torrent client gets that "unregistered torrent" failure and it is the reason why these torrents show a red uploading sign.
It will just been hidden in another view. I don't know which torrent client your seedbox uses to search where / how to look for the tracker status message in its interface.

RE: Leeching shows seeding files
What you say is typical for what cannonmc mentioned, you haven't got all the files in a torrent's file list as completed completed download, but only those parts which you've selected to download.
The way you put it "(…) All my parts to a torrent file are downloaded fully. (…)" seem to confirm that. The question is not to have all your parts, but all files of a torrent.
The torrent protocol knows basically two type of peers: Those which got all files of a torrents file list and can seed it all of them, known as Seed/Seeder and the others having not 100% known as downloading peers (or derogative leecher). So if you haven't got all files completely a tracker will count it still into the downloading group. Of course any amount of data you seed will be counted correctly towards your total upload. This is common to all trackers I know (and it are quite a few).
If you say to have got all files (not only those you've selected to download), then it would be interesting to know what torrent client programme and version you use.

RE: Can you re-download a torrent uploaded by yourself without affecting ratio?
Be aware that own burned CD might be usable only a quite limited time. Can be as short as 2 years. It depends on many factors, the media quality (the disc), the burner quality and speed, the storage conditions etc …
Archiving digital information over long time is a big issue. There is no support available allowing real long save storage. HDD are good for about 4 years (again variable) only ...
But anyway you can't be sure that a torrent will still be available after years here either.

RE: Uploading ettiquette question
That is something which is very difficult to answer in a general broad way.
There are configurations where a high share ratio is the result of behaviour positive for the community, without even negative impact or very limited) to other seeder:
1/ Prolific or regular uploader of new own torrents are programmed to build up a very positive share ratio and we all want those new content being shared …
2/ Members investing in big storage space and keeping what they have downloaded over years available will find themselves back as the only last seeder on many torrents. If they are in that situation on enough, they will always upload at the limit of their connection (unless perhaps having a symmetric fibre optics connection) to someone just wanting one of them and seed multiple full copies back. We all need this decentralized storage to keep the library available. Our auto recycling script is rewarding those members, by promoting torrents.
The more members invest into huge storage, the more difficult it becomes to get to the stage of being one of the few last seeder.
Now to something which might be seen the most polemic: Seedbox owners jumping per RSS download in an automated way on new uploaded torrents, with their huge free bandwidth, they will capture most of the initial upload and redistribute it multiple times to the downloading peers in the swarm. They might do that "just" to improve their share ratio and built up a buffer for times without seedbox. Or they really like to get what they download and seed. The effect to other members is the same. It gets more difficult to keep a good share ratio for members without seedbox.
However can we blame members for investing in a seedbox and optimise the use of it? I think no.
I've studied quite a number of the cheaper seedbox plans, in the 1 to 15 Euro/month range. The cheapest lack in number of concurrent torrents (just a handful) and common is a quite limited storage space. Which means members investing in a seedbox are forced to remove downloaded media files quite quickly to optimize the use of the available bandwidth.
Compared to some other private trackers, seeding at gaytorrent.ru remains relatively easy. I know trackers where it is impossible to survive without a seedbox, even with careful selection of torrents and knowing how the dynamics work. This said, compared to a ratioless tracker like gay-torrents.net or even public trackers like The Piratebay it is more difficult.
My conclusion basically is that members need to understand that a high share ratio isn't a (good) purpose on its own. There is no benefit from targeting and working on having a huge share ratio. In this sense it is good that the "Top 10" list has been removed.
From the community a about balanced share ratio is best. Our rationator page says " (…) A ratio around 1.000 means a member shares as much as he downloads and is a good community member. (...)"
Many will target a share ratio of above 1.05 to gain the Power User status and the associated privileges. That is possible and in reach for everyone who really tries, because of Freeleech torrents, the diverse possibilities to earn Bonus Points and Donations. All these are resulting in an average share ratio above the else wise theoretical 1.0000 (one).
Actually I'm for changing the semantics used here. each upload requires someone downloading. Both go in pair. Therefore instead of using the derogative terms leecher(s) and leeching, we should speak about downloading peers and downloading. Real leecher and hit&runners won't be able to be active members for long. Rationator will disable their download rights efficiently.
I've said already at other occasions that we need more downloads. If for example seedbox owners who have uploaded to a high ratio later use that buffer to download, everything gets balanced again and their high bandwidth is beneficial globally.

RE: Tracker Not Tracking Correctly.
On the red ones, is there an error message in the details view. It should be in the place where it displays "working" on the green one?
I've done a search and can't find torrents with "XL - A Collection Part", so would guess you get a "unregistered torrent" failure from the tracker, which means the torrent isn't tracked any more.
-
RE: Can you re-download a torrent uploaded by yourself without affecting ratio?
cannonmc, is right. The downloaded data amount counts. This is concerning the digital media files shared by the torrent.
If you just want to get back the small .torrent file, to for example restart seeding a torrent's digital media files you've still got locally, the .torrent file download doesn't count to the ratio and for own uploads or earlier downloaded .torrent files not to the 24 hours limit either.

RE: Tracker Not Tracking Correctly.
There are no known issues with the tracker.
You should check the tracker URL in the torrent's details of your torrent client programme to be well the one shown in your Profile if you click on your name in "Welcome back, …"
Format:
http://tracker.gaytorrent.tw:2710/YourPasskey/announce".tw" might be as well ".ru", both work equally
"YourPasskey" is a long series of letters and numbers. It is secrete and personal, don't publish it anywhereIf that is right, check for any tracker error message and report it back here (the exact message wording please)
Note that our tracker got the scrape function disabled, so a torrent need to be started seeding (or downloading) and not only queued. This is not an issue, but done on purpose.

RE: Is it some video in this web cannot be download?
Yes, now you should try to download it as often and long as possible, that will increase the chance of a revival and you need to be patient. Most members aren't online daily, so one of the members having downloaded it earlier might start the next days.
-
RE: Is it some video in this web cannot be download?
You could send a reseed request. I've done that or you and all the other possibilities to get a torrent revived (promotion, PM to the uploader, freeleech).
However, if that doesn't help and no seeder is showing up within a week, it will be deleted as definitely dead.

RE: Uploaded torrents won't seed.
Your torrent client is reported as not connectible. That will lead to an at least 30 minutes delay after uploading the torrent fr it to get downloading peers information to offer them downloads.
Please consult the help of your torrent client programme for information how to make it connectible.
If you haven't done it yet, you can claim the First Time Upload Programme reward of 600 Seed Bonus Points. You must ask for it as explained in the Forum topic about it, the bonus doesn't arrive on its own.

RE: Almost every torrent uploaded are taken down (DMCA)
Upload a torrent for something you are sure to have the license to share.
or look for labels you find plenty of older torrents, which is an indicator that those seem not to send takedown requests …

RE: Something is definitely wrong with this site or the trackers on this site
This is EXACTLY my issue… i've contacted the helpguys about this, and im afraid they pinpointed to my torrent client as the culprit (specifically the NAT). Ive checked my torrent client and the settings, and everything seems fine (i.e. IP filter disabled, max uploading set as reasonably high as possible). But sadly, the files i was seeding were not being picked up. (...)
Those settings (IP filter disabled and uploading set reasonably high) aren't the first points to look at to make a torrent client (here Tixati) connectible.
The first is to make the NAT aka portforwarding working. The usual method is to get this done automatically through UPnP. It assumes that your modem/router (the box from your ISP) has been left at its defaults settings and you haven't disabled UPnP in ti's settings for improved security.
How UPnP is set in Tixati can be found there > http://www.tixati.com/optimize/router-port-forward.html
I'd recommend to use a port in the 30 000 range
Then you need as well to make sure that your firewall(s) don't block incoming connections on these ports. You may use multiple firewalls: the Windows built in and the one which comes with your Anti-virus / Internet Security. Both need to be set to allow incoming connections to Tixati on the port you set to use for TCP and UDP.
Next I'd reboot the modem/router and the computer, to be sure the UPnP fort forwarding is re-initialized.
If you use a VPN or Proxy service, you should consult it's help and FAQ pages to see if something special needs to be done for port forwarding. I had one a proxy service not allowing portforwarding (BT Guard), causing tracking issues with GayTorrent.ru, then a VPN forwarding "all" ports and now a VPN forwarding only a dedicated port, which needs to be set in the torrent client as the port used.
There can be other security software blocking connections, such as anti-spy ware, anti adds, child protection etc… if you use some of these, consult their Manual, Help and FAQ pages for allowing incoming connections.
