@esterlion You are in a low ratio state. When this happens, you can only download two torrents at a time. It seems that you are currently leeching two torrents, which is why other torrents will not download.

Check your phone's settings. If you swipe down twice, somewhere in the list of icons you should see an option for rotation. You need to make sure that this is enabled to be able to use your phone in landscape mode. When you tilt your phone, it should automatically change over if this option is enabled.

As for gaytorrent.ru and gaytor.rent, it is the same site, run on the same database. The same login you use on .ru will work on .rent. The only real difference is the VM that actually run the server daemon itself. All information is pulled from the same database though, so there is not much of a difference between the two domains.

@esterlion What's affecting your uploads is the fact that there are no leechers actively downloading any of the torrents you're seeding. I'll see what I can do about getting you some traffic on your seeding torrents.

@cinemec This appears to be an issue with the latest version of uTorrent. The only known way to get around this is to downgrade uTorrent to a previous version.

@lololulu19 That's never stopped me when using a public WiFi. There are these things called a VPN. If you have a good one like PrivateVPN, they can be configured to use port TCP 443, which cannot be blocked as it would make most of the internet not work.

It's actually recommended that you use a VPN on a public WiFi anyway, as you never know who else may be on the network looking at things you may not necessarily want them looking at. With a VPN, you establish a secured tunnel through another network, which not only bypasses such content filtering from public WiFi services, but also ensures that other users on the public network are not able to see things you might not want them looking at anyway.

@jawsbruin After taking a look into some geeky stuff on our end, I see that you are using uTorrent 3.6.0. This is going to be your issue, as it is has known compatibility issues with our site. The only known fix for this is to roll back to uTorrent Classic 3.5.5 or earlier. FWIW: QTM is written to work with uTorrent 2.2.1, which I use and support.

@Hothot66 It was probably deleted when the site crashed sometime back. Everyone's account was deleted when that happened as the site had to be rebuilt from scratch. You're really not missing much though, as after the great server crash, in my opinion, they never really fully recovered.

@lololulu19 This is likely because your ISP is throttling P2P traffic. While this is a practice that is banned in Canada now, it is something that happens in many other countries. When you use a VPN, your ISP does not see the P2P traffic, but rather, sees the VPN traffic, which gets categorized and prioritized differently from P2P traffic.

@lololulu19 Yeah... ISP's in Canada used to do the same thing. They'd be all shady and swear up, down, and sideways that they do not throttle you, but then a bunch of independent IT gurus started running various tests and found that P2P traffic would get slowed right down to a crawl, but when the exact same P2P traffic was run through a VPN, the issue did not exist. Long story short, it went to the CRTC (the Canadian version of the FCC) and many providers got into a LOT of trouble as this practice was not properly advertised in their ToS.

Thankfully, in Canada now, the practice of throttling a customer is outright banned. The ONLY time that they're allowed to throttle a customer is in a case where their plan only includes a set amount of data that can be transferred before the throttle applies, in which case, they must specify in the QoS section of the ToS exactly how and when the throttle applies, meaning they must specify how much data must be transferred in how long of a period before the throttle applies, as well as what speeds they get throttled to, and for how long the throttle applies. As this is generally too much hassle for most providers to do, generally the only way you'll find any kind of throttling now in Canada is on mobile data packages.

As for the mobile data packages, the QoS in the ToS is often very clear that say 20 GB of data must be transmitted in a billing period, at which point, the customer usually gets throttled to 512kbit symmetrical for the remainder of the billing period. As for more traditional connections such as Cable, DSL, or Fibre, you'll be hard pressed to find one that throttles traffic now in Canada.

@FDS2000 This torrent is indeed strange and unusual. It seems that there is either some issue with the torrent itself, or that the content has not yet actually been fully downloaded by anyone. This is very strange.

@huidazheng88 No. The torrent seems to have 3 seeds, however does not seem to be moving. I have put a freeleech on it, requested a re-seed, and have promoted it to the top of the list. This usually helps torrents like this get moving again.

@john32123666 Yes... Sometimes something goes a little wonky in the database, causing it to need to be refreshed and given a bit of a tune up of a sort. This usually doesn't take very long to complete, but it is something that can only be done by our sysadmin. Since he has a full time commitment of his own to tend to, this can sometimes take a while.

My understanding is that the search should now be fixed and working as intended once again.
