    • RE: TWO TERROR ATTACKS TODAY - WHEN WILL YOU GET IT???

      @rawr:

      Wow. The media is seriously evil (on all sides.)

      In 2015: 38,422 people died from terrorist attacks and 43,495 people were injured, in 14,806 separate incidents (over 40 incidents per day.)

      7 people die in the UK and everybody freaks out.

      All of sudden it's a problem?

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_of_terrorist_incidents_by_country

      I hope you guys can keep your shit together when you hear that there were approximately 15,750 homicides in the last year in the US alone.

      Please get you information correct, this was London, NOT the UK, That means it warrants 24hr none stop coverage not only on local news but country and world news.
      When will you Americans and the rest of the world realise that one Londoner is worth 10,000 of you guys, if not more.  In the North of England and in Scotland we have known this for years and still get reminded on a regular basis that we are worthless compared to Londoners.  More people died in Manchester but being "Up North" it didn't get as much coverage, had it not been children involved I doubt it would have even got mentioned.

      @aadam101:

      The Christian radicals do this too and have been for a very long time.  Should we also eradicate them?

      YES!, But who are these Christian Radicals?

      Anyway, To all those who lost their lives, R.I.P., To all those injured our thoughts and prays are with you for a speedy recovery and to anyone anywhere in the world affect by this or any other acts of Terror, Keep Strong and Don't let the buggers get you down.

    • RE: My inner struggle

      @spam17:

      I continue gay habits, such as masturbating and thinking about muscular/more masculine men. At the same time, I like women, like being around them more than guys, and want to have an romantic/sexual relationship with a girl.

      I like women and I definitely prefer being round them more than guys, but I have no sexual interest in them what so ever.  I find certain women extremely attractive and have even said out loud "WOW isn't she stunning".  I've had girlfriends in the past, thou nothing ever happened, but that's what was expected and before I accepted I was 100% gay.

      Don't as someone else said put yourself into a box, you will find who you are eventually.  Instead enjoy discovering who you are and what you like, make mistakes, screw things up, that's what it's all about.

      You're not the only one in this boat, that's why we've gone from Str8, Bi and gay to dozens of different labels that allow people to identify as one thing while distancing themselves from another.

      Spend less time worrying about who/what you are and more time enjoying the ride of discovery till the penny drops.

    • RE: Where is the best place to meet other HIV guys for more than just sex?

      One of my mates has been positive for many years now and he was before he met his negative partner.  15+ years later they are still together and the negative guy is still negative and very much in love with him.  They met one night on the scene, and it went from there, my mate was straight up from day 1 about his status which I think made a big impact on the trust between them.  So never give up hope on finding someone pos or neg, just be honest from the start.

    • RE: Gay marriage.. unsure of it's definition.

      A "Ceremony/Joining" Religious or Not is required to become married this is the legal part as you call it.  There isn't always a need to obtain a marriage license, these are only required under certain circumstances.

      The term / institution of marriage was adopted by the church and not invented/created by it, therefore they cannot enforce any of their doctrines other than within the church.  While Catholics may have their own ideas of marriage they have no legal standing.

      As for the child issue neither a husband or wife has any legal obligation to take on the responsibility of their new partners children unless they legally adopt or take on legal guardianship of said child.  An example of this is when the biological parent dies their spouse does not automatically gain/take over legal responsibility for the child, who can be taken into care, handed to a member of the deceased's family such as a grandparent or even handed to the other biological parent.

      @z3n1th:

      @DCLXVI:

      The word 'racist' means what again?

      Actually.. I think that's a good question.. can we at least get a consensus of how to define and characterize 'racist/racism' before throwing the term around?

      noun
      1. a person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or who believes that a particular race is superior to another.

      adjective
      1. showing or feeling discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or believing that a particular race is superior to another.

      So based on this you cannot be racist against your own race for any reason as they are your own race.

    • RE: Is it healthy to drink milk as adults?

      Stick to cows milk unless you are allergic or intolerant, if you want to reduce the fat try semi-skimmed (green top in the UK).

      Milk is a natural product, and the less messed-with your food is, the better it is for your body.

      Cow's milk has about double the amount of protein as soy milk. They're both a good source of calcium (if it's added in soy milk), potassium, phosphorous, vitamin D and other nutrients.

      Soy and cow's milk have different types of protein. The protein in cow's milk is called casein. Often, our bodies can process and use the nutrients from animals sources better than plant sources. That's not to say you can't be a vegetarian, or that soy milk is a bad option for people.

      Soy milk is the best substitute out there when it comes to milk substitutes: Almond milk, rice milk, or hemp milk — I wouldn't even call them cow milk replacers. They are very low in protein.

      Milk has sugar, and some people get freaked out about that. But the milk sugar lactose does not have that much of an effect on blood sugar as table sugar has.

      There is also a difference between lactose intolerance and milk allergy. An actual allergy to milk is very rare, and that's when people are allergic to casein in milk. If you're allergic to it, you know it. If you're lactose intolerant you also know; your stomach hurts and you feel gassy. If someone likes milk and doesn't tolerate lactose, I'd say do lactose-free milk.

      English right back to the early 1600's before that who knows, probably some French, German, Viking based on the history of England.  I don't have a preference, so long as I find someone attractive and get on with them I don't care, however my other half of the past 19 years is Scottish/Irish.

    • RE: Is it racist to post that you're not interested in black/asian/other non-whites?

      @gimmedick:

      Just curious to see how other people see this.
      I know it's hurtful for someone not being attracted to certain types of people but is it racist?

      Simple answer is NO.  Attraction is a subconscious brain reaction to which the individual has no control over and therefore a person can not be held responsible for said attraction reaction.  HOWEVER any conscious action an individual takes based on this CAN be racist.

      If a white guy flatly refuses to go out with a black guy then yes he is a racist.

      If a white guy goes out with 20 different black guys and finds no attraction with any of them, that does not make him a racist.  However if said white guy them consciously decides never to date another black guy, even if he states "I've dated 20 and found no attraction what so ever", he is a racist.  Why? because he is being prejudice and discriminating based on those 20 guys, this is the same whether he had dated 1 guy or every black guy on the planet.

      Basically not one person on the planet can be classed as racist for their feelings of attraction, however I would look at 90%+ could be classed as racist for there following conscious actions.

      @TheNewt:

      It's racist when someone admits they are sexually attracted to someone that's black because of racist myths and stereotypes like "black=hung/large cock" or "black women and men are freaks in bed/sexually aggressive, etc.", and "East Asians are feminine and have tight butts" that you see on sites and hear about.

      This is not racist as attraction/sexual attraction can not be racist and admitting it does not make you a racist, just tactless and stupid.  However the action of targeting black men based on the wishful thinking that they will all have a huge cock is racist, especially if you choose to discriminate against all other men as you are then racist against them.

    • RE: Is smoking a turn off?

      Yes and No

      Knowing the damage it does to not only the smoker but to the passive smokers, and having someone I care for not only risk their life but also the lives of others often with no consideration or care for what they are doing is a huge turn off.

      However there is something about seeing a certain type of guy with a big fat cigar in his mouth, and smoking it in a certain way that does have a certain sexiness about it.

      I'm a non/never have smoker, but my partner is, thou wasn't when we met.  He just took it back up one day and despite a few attempts at stopping hasn't managed more than about 3 to 4 months.  He never smokes in the house ever, but does smoke in the car even when I'm with him but always with the window down.  I know research shows that this is still bad for the none smoker, but what else can I do other than follow behind in my car.  It's a real pain and to be honest it does scare the hell out of me that I could loose him through his smoking.  Oh and I don't find it a turn on at all.
