@dat1hungdude The buffer is simply a calculation of how much you could download right now without any upload traffic before you hit your minimum ratio. It's dynamic, and updates itself periodically. You don't really need to pay any attention to it at all unless you're riding on a knife-edge with your ratio.

I have no knowledge about this within the parameters you describe, but I would imagine that if such material was made long ago then anything containing what we currently consider underage performers would hopefully have been purged from their libraries a long time ago, never to see the light of day. I would also hope that the same goes for any digital copies floating around in the ether.

As to the question of whether such material would be "safe" to watch simply because it is of a certain vintage then you should consider this: There are countries that do not legislate against what we regard as underage performers in any way, shape of form. Would it therefore be ok to watch such material simply because it was produced beyond the reach of the current law wherever you are?

Simplest way to deal with this question is "If in doubt, don't."

Creating a new torrent is not the same as reseeding.

If you want to fill a reseed request then all you need to do is download the torrent file from the site. You then place your already downloaded files into the same directory structure that the torrent is trying to create in your download folder and then ideally do a re-check in your client. As long as the files match then you should start seeding. If there are any discrepancies though then you can't help. The files and structure must be a precise match.

Anyone have any updates? Last thing I saw last night was a page saying they think it should be safe to log in again, but that they were still bringing some parts of the site back online. I opted to stay out until they'd had a chance to make sure everything was good.

Got up today, and it keeps trying to redirect me to another dodgy domain that throws big nasty warnings at me, so obviously haven't been able to get any more info.

@baddawg Thanks. I opted for a Trigkey G4 N100 mini-PC in the end, and started porting everything over to it a couple of days ago. It's a bit of a slow process transferring lots of files over, but I'm getting there. Currently have it set up with 4 USB HDDs connected through a hub, plus of course the old NAS drive available too.

The Plex library isn't very large yet, as I've normally deleted stuff after I've watched it, but I'm sure it will grow with time. I've also got all my porn running through it, and though I know PLEX could probably handle the job it would mean spending a lot of time reorganizing everything, so for the time being I'm going to continue running StashDB on it which is fine for local access. I'm not sure If it will allow remote access yet, so I'll need to investigate.

The N100 is struggling a little bit right now, but I'm asking a lot from it. Once I've got everything moved around and all my scans finished I think it should be OK. Torrents are taking forever to allocate for large downloads, but that's probably due to all the other stuff I'm doing with the disks at the moment. I'm hoping it settles down eventually.

As for power, I tried running my gaming rig through a power-monitoring smart plug for a couple of days, and at idle it drew around 0.12 kW per hour, costing roughly £0.85-£0.90 per day if I left it on. The N100 is sitting at around £0.10 per day, so the £150 to buy it should be covered in around 6 months. Not bad at all IMO.

@yababylol makes a good point. To get a sense of whether or not there's an issue here at all we'd need to know a bit more about your stats. As an example, for me 300GB of upload would result in a ratio increase of 0.002, though this would obviously decrease if there was any download traffic at all.
