What I don't get is why completely straight stuff is here.
Because sometimes a gay man can enjoy watching a straight guy even if they have to crane their neck to see around the tits@lololulu19 said in GAYtor.rent ?:
EVEN THEN, I don't mind if the guy is extremely cute (which is quite rare).
So in effect you are saying that all straight content should be removed/banned except straight content that you personally enjoy. I don't think that's going to work unless you want everyone to send you their files before they upload them to the site.I check this and other sites daily, and can safely say that even on a good day 98% of what gets uploaded is of no interest to me whatsoever, but I do recognise that obviously there are others that like it. Who do you think is uploading the straight content? I can't imagine anyone thinks to themselves "Yeah, I'm totally straight and have no interest in gay porn or men, but I think I'll join a gay torrent site and upload stuff that nobody there will want, because that'll be a productive use of my time."
I get what you're saying. I truly do, but at the same time this isn't a site just for you or me or any other single user. It's for everyone.

RE: Biden puts Ukraine first (ahead of Ohio), stages phony danger
@blablarg18 Oh please! You posted a link and I made light of it. What part of what I posted was fake? My post didn't address any of the things you've mentioned in your response. For some reason you seem to have taken this as meaning I have challenged what you've said, a very common theme in this forum. I haven't, and that's because I freely admit I have no interest in challenging it. I neither agree nor disagree, so I don't understand the response.

RE: itsnotjandy OF page
@mebgmebg No, because requests for uploads have been banned anywhere on the site for absolutely ages. Sorry.

But therein is the issue again.. why is any totally straight porn here?
- Some people are bisexual, and enjoy seeing hot guys and hot girls.
- Some people are totally gay, but still like to see a hot guy's cock and ass bouncing around.
- If you were to to object to girl-on-girl porn, then I'd agree, but I've never seen any purely girl-on-girl stuff on here anyway.
How many OF or JFF uploads here are all solo male content from people who identify as straight? Should that all be removed? No, because it is still of interest to gay eyes. The same applies to the straight sex content I've seen on the site.
I am truly sorry that some of the uploads on the site don't interest you, but the site isn't here to cater specifically to any one person's tastes. If you like to use the browse page rather than the search then maybe ask for the ability to filter out some categories (which I would definitely lend my vote to) rather than say "This shouldn't be on here."
Personally, I don't think it takes a great deal of effort to not click on a picture with tits or minge.

RE: Regarding poppers...
@nix54 I only ever buy online, as they're usually less than half the price of the same brands over the counter in the UK. The site I originally got them from used to ship from Vancouver in Canada if the postmark is anything to go by, but shipping times were awful. I've been using a UK-based site for the last 3 or 4 years, and usually get them for as little as £2.50 a bottle depending on brand and quantity. I'm open to specific suggestions of other sites to try though.
I've not come across any that really stink, but most do have quite a strong and distinctive odour. However, the last bottle I opened (same brand as the previous 3 or 4) was so subtle that I did have to look to make sure there was anything in the bottle, and it gave me the most intense rush I've had for ages. That's what got me wondering if others are finding huge inconsistencies in a single brand or not.
And yes, you're right, they are nitrites. I think it's just a habit calling them nitrates as that's what most people call them. Ordered a new batch today, and they are listed as "Ingredients: Isopropyl Nitrite (CAS 541-42-4)" I'm actually quite impressed that the site has that information, as many don't bother to let you know the active ingredient.

@lololulu19 said in Regarding poppers...:
putting that aside... just what is it that poppers are supposed to do.. and are they effective at doing it? a LONG time ago, I took a sniff of poppers, and as I recall, it smelled like gasoline.
As has already been said, many people see them as a muscle relaxant which, for reasons I'm sure you can work out, can make penetrative sex easier for a bottom. The main attraction to many people though is they can illicit a huge headrush feeling which travels down the body in a wave. Depending on their efficacy this can last from a few seconds to around a minute. I wish I could compare it to alcohol to give you a better idea, but I rarely ever got anywhere near what most would consider "drunk" and haven't had alcohol in well over 10 years.
I get the impression that poppers are used primarily by people who engage in being fisted.
Nope, they're for everyone. You will even find people taking the odd sniff while on the dancefloor at some gay clubs.
When I was still young I went to a coworker's housewarming party. This was back in the day when I thought I was straight, and knew next to nothing about "gayness." He and several of the the other staff were gay, and at one point one of them said "Hey, smell this!" Being young and naïve I played along, and then spent the next 5 minutes giggling in a chair. That was my first experience with them.

@lololulu19 said in Regarding poppers...:
One problem I have is that I have great difficulty getting an erection unless I am visually stimulated or I think about the young guy who sends me highly erotic videos of himself. Supposedly, he was straight, but no longer trusts femalese due to some real life disasters. He likes to show me his body and cum and shaving off his pubes.. etc. We all need friends like that!
in a related issue.. I have noticed that pretty much all males enjoy ANAL stimulation, especially as they get older. I notice that in porn videos, the guy getting fucked almost always cums while being fucked, and the top cums later.
In other words, guys generally prefer prostate stimulation to fuckingI have no idea what we're supposed to do with this information in regards to the subject at hand.

RE: Regarding poppers...
@MrMazda There are more than 2. There's amyl, isopropyl, isobutyl.... The list goes on, though buying them in the UK it's very rare you will find the specific active ingredient on the label.
The point I was trying to make is that if I was to open 2 bottles of the same brand from the the same packaging tray the odour and potency of them appears to vary wildly, making it a complete lottery as to which brand to buy.
-
Regarding poppers...
Has anyone else ever wondered if it actually makes a difference which brand of poppers you buy?
I'm of the opinion that they are made in large batches, bottled, and then slapped with any old label rather than actually being made to specific recipe for that brand.
Admittedly, most of them smell pretty similar and might be of around the same strength, but sometimes I'll buy a 10-pack to take advantage of pricing, and within that pack the quality varies wildly. I opened a new bottle last night that had hardly any scent at all but was incredibly potent, whereas the previous bottle from the same brand and pack was heavily scented and as weak as a weak thing that was felling particularly weak that day.
This has all led me to believe that it makes no difference whatsoever to which ones you buy as overall quality seems to be pure pot luck, so it seems best just to buy the cheap ones.
What do the rest of you think?

RE: Can a ratio be too high?
@frostycab Competing might be the wrong word. They shouldn't be seeding for sake of bragging rights might be a better way to look at it.
-
RE: Can a ratio be too high?
As long as you've got a decent download buffer there's no point in trying out for the Olympic seeding team. Obviously seed stuff that needs seeding, but people shouldn't be competing for the sake of it.

Personally, I wish people would refrain from posting anything that involves pain, simulated deaths, vaginas, scat, ancient porn, and porn featuring what I consider to be unattractive people. Also, I'm not fond of most solo stuff NOR orgies of more than 4 people.. nor videos with digitized genetalia nor videos where you never see a face.
Uhhhhhhh.......

RE: Other private trackers?
@lololulu19 So many unconnected and disjointed thoughts in one post. I think you've also followed a couple of red herrings, but I'll try to stick to the main point.
Porn, in and of itself, is not obscene, at least not globally. If a court in Texas or Utah was to find that porn was obscene it would not have any effect on its standing in other countries. My understanding is that such a ruling would not even need to be recognised by other states. It's not unlike the situation surrounding marijuana in the US.
Given your numerous references to the US I think you've perhaps focussed your impressions around that and not fully appreciated the issue as viewed in other countries. Though something may be considered obscene somewhere that has very little bearing on whether or not it is able to be copyrighted.
You say that selling porn on the internet is illegal. Where exactly? Does that include The UK? Czech Republic? Netherlands? Germany? Brazil? How are all the porn studios, for instance in California, getting away with it if they're such an outrage to decency? I'm happy to read any citations you can provide to support that argument as it pertains to international copyright, and concede your point if they back up your assertions.
Your point about background music is certainly a valid one, at least here in the UK. I worked in a restaurant that got fined because we had a radio playing in the kitchen that could be heard by people on the phone. A bit petty, I think, but not something you can argue against. The police playing loud music is a new one on me, but that may be a US thing.
In fairness, I can see how you may have some to your conclusions about porn copyright, as I did do a quick Google search and found that the first 20 pages of results all seemed to be from US law firms and media. I read a few articles and the general consensus seems to be that nobody knows is its protected or not. It appears that the US courts at least are unprepared to come to a decision, and as such simply dismiss most cases, usually because the sheer number of cases would threaten to overwhelm the judicial system.
The point is that different countries, and indeed regions within some countries, have differing views on what is obscene as well as how respectful they are of copyrights. In Saudi Arabia all porn sites are apparently banned. China has acquired something of a reputation for ignoring copyrights and patents, at least when they are owned in other countries. None of these these things detract from the fact that the creator of a work, be that written, painted, filmed, played, or anything else which matches the definition, may have that work copyrighted. The only difference is how a particular legal system deals with a claim.
EDIT: Having re-read the original post in this topic, I think we've all gone off on red herrings. I believe @benignlulz was asking about non-porn trackers for TV shows and the like. I also believe his question was directed more to the idea that his ISP might find his internet activity suspicious and investigate, which I completely understand.

RE: Problem to share a rar file
@lololulu19 said in Problem to share a rar file:
technically, you are not supposed to upload RAR files, but in the case of binaries, that is often done.
Nothing against it in the rules. They simply say not to upload video packed in archives, so all good in this case.

RE: Help with seeding issues
I know this sounds basic, but have you confirmed that there are leechers actually trying to download the file(s)?
As a sort of general observation, my own feeling is that as internet speeds have gone up over the years it has made it harder to maintain a good upload ratio. If you think about it, back in the Internet Stone Age it took much longer to transfer files. As such, you would sometimes end up with much larger swarms as new people connected. Now with ultrafast fibre people are able to download in a very short time, meaning that the seed to leecher ratio goes up much faster. Thus you have a shorter window of opportunity to get in on the action before there is very little demand for your input to the swarm. There are so many seeds and so few leechers that each seeder uploads less overall.
