    • RE: August 3rd.. What will Trump's big accouncement be?

      @aadam101:

      Last time he did something like this he announced that Obama was born in the United States!

      Well, even Trump lies sometimes.
      Nobody can dispute that Obama was raised in Muslim Indonesia until the age of 13.

      Clearly, the founding father's never envisioned a person being born outside of the continent of North America, raised as a muslim, living abroad until the age of 13 as being eligible to be president.
      Before you start arguing about that…  the bitter TRUTH is that the founding father's did not consider black people to even be human.  To be quite blunt.. they were a bunch of extremely racist drunks.  People keep harping on the constitution and the bill of rights.. when the constitution and the bill of rights are NOT what people think.
      I don't have a problem with someone born anyplace on the planet being president.. other than if you are following the constitution, they are not eligible.

      I don't know exactly when the laws changed, or if they ever did officially, but before the civil war, blacks were not considered to be human, nor citizens.  There is a reason for that.  By denying that they were even human.. and not citizens.. it made it legal for them to be bought and sold as property / slaves.  Disgusting.  But on the other hand, if not for slavery, there would be almost no black people in the USA.

    • Obama's had no respect for the USA

      I could spend the next hour showing examples of how Obama repeatedly failed to salute marines on Air Force One, but that would get boring real fast.
      Instead, here are my two favorite examples:
      Obama blatantly refusing to put his hand on his heart during the singing of the National Anthem (even Slippery Hillary did!)
      Youtube Video

      Obama's husband Michael saying "All This For A Damn Flag?" at a 9/11 memorial ceremony,  with Obama nodding in agreement.

      @flozen:

      Washington DC was, indeed, built on reclaimed swamp, but it does have the distinction of a city street plan created by the renowned Pierre L'Enfant, and the National Mall in particular, benefits from his vision:

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%27Enfant_Plan

      Trump certainly appreciates the Mall – so much so, that he imagined it full of a record-setting crowd for his Inauguration!

      http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/20/politics/donald-trump-barack-obama-inauguration-crowd-size/index.html

      The real shame here is that we have a President who is such an unqualified vulgarian, that he would call our country's most revered residence a "dump."

      Anyone with discernment who has seen a garish, gold-plated, Trump-designed business property – and I passed the Trump Building at 40 Wall Street for many years getting to work at 72 -- knows the brutal, self-absorbed excess that he considers good taste.

      Gold is part of how Trump branded his multi-billion dollar empire.  I guess gold offends you.  You must be racist  The favorite colors of black people are gold and black.  Shame on you, RACIST!

      It really is a shame that our President LIED about locking her up.  She deserves it.

      Yes, our president said many times he'd lock her up. He's such a coward and a blatant liar.

      They are finally starting to investigate Hillary.  Trump was going to drop it, because he's a nice guy, but due to incessant attacks, it has become necessary to start an investigation.  (or should we call it a "matter"?)

      It was a nice place before him and his euro trash wife moved in.

      http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/344865-trump-told-golf-club-members-that-the-white-house-is-a-real-dump

      Washington DC is a dump.  It is swamp land that was donated by Maryland and Virginia.   There was an epidemic of people being poisoned in Wanshington DC that lasted several decades until they figured out that the water supply was tainted.   In fact, when I went to research this, I didn't find what I was looking for from over 100 years ago, but I did find  this about a massive lead in the water problem 20 - 30 times worse than Flint Michigan in the 2000's.   Washington DC is a dump.. as are most big cities that are overrun with filth.  Very few people are aware of this.. but even Orlando Florida is a dump.  People associate Orlando with Disney World because the nearest airport is in Orlando.  Disney is actually in Lake Buena Vista / Kissimmee.   The reason Disney World exists is because the land it is on was fairly worthless land that Walt Disney was able to secretly buy up at extremely low prices.  In fact, Disney World is not even on land.. that is an illusion.   Everything you see at Disney World is actually the first floor.  They built a ground floor.. buried it.. and build everything you see on top of it.

    • Do people have a right to have healthcare?

      As I have pointed out before.. the current debt in this country is $64,000 per person.  It was $32,000 per person up until Sheik Obama did his best to bankrupt the country.  By the way.. during the presidency of Richard Nixon, Dick took us off the gold standard because there was not enough gold to back up the currency.  If all the gold in Fort Knox was given away to the citizens of the USA.. each person would get $557.  That would leave the debt at $63,443 per person instead of $64,000.

      What right do "we" the people alive today.. have to spend more than we have.. continuously.. and leave that ballooning debt to our children?
      Since I have no children.. I should be like Bernie Sanders and say "Fuck it!  make everybody a millionaire.. give everybody everything they want for free!  Hooray!

      @Frederick:

      @aadam101:

      Doctor shortages is a totally separate issue that needs to be addressed.

      There's no shortage of doctors.  There is a shortage of doctors who do 40 hours of work a week.

      Once again you are making a great case as to why single payer is a better option.  Doctors don't work 20 hours per week because they are paid too much money.  Pay them less  under a single payer system and they will work more.

      I think you are assuming what I think is good health care.
      I don't pretend to have the ultimate answer to healthcare, but what I CAN say is that Obamacare is a DISASTER.. and CAN'T continue.
      Also.. by work.. I meant actually working.. doing stuff.  I used to install computer systems for medical billing in doctor's offices.  There are some doctors who work non-stop all day long.. one patient after the next.  That is unusual.  There are a lot more doctors who spend the day trying to avoid patients as much as possible.

      But.. on your theme of what doctors are paid… my father's 2 day hospital stay was $50,000 for the 2 days laying in bed under observation by nurses..  and another $28,000 for the ONE HOUR that the doctor spent performing the actual procedure.  Running the IV during the procedure for anesthesia was $5000.

      @TroopK:

      I have read some nonsense in this topic but rarely as silly as this.

      I have lived in England slightly longer than 8 months and have never seen any massive scars, by definition I haven't seen missing limbs, but I have seen three people with amputated legs, and have never seen anyone with an eye patch.

      I can make an appointment online to see a GP for tomorrow. And the question of money will never come up.

      At first, I was going to say "what's the difference between missing limbs and amputations?"   What I MEANT was amputations.. however, there are a lot of people in England with the birth defect of missing limbs due to the medication "thalidomide" which is banned in the USA.  When pregnant women take "thalidomide" the babies sometimes have tiny flippers instead of arms and / or legs.
      By scars, I meant that in the USA, surgical procedures are usually done in a way that leaves only a tiny scar, or no scar at all, and if necessary plastic surgery is used to eliminate the scar.  In Europe.. when someone has surgery, you know it, and the scars are quite visible.

      I wonder what city in England you lived in… ?

      Seems that there was a massive "quid pro quo" arrangement set up by Slippery Hillary while Secreatary of State… selling favors, meetings, access to the State Department, jobs, incluence via the Clinton Foundation..

      Also, it has been revealed that John Pedosta was a member of the board of directors of the Joule corporation.. which got $35 million from Russia... which is bad enough.. but criminal in that John boy did NOT disclose that fact as is required by law.

      I didn't even mention house democrat Auntie Maxine Waters who even democrats call the most corrupt representative in Congress.

      There are so many gay porn movies and gay performers now that they could fill a telephone book!
      I pity people into gay porn, because there are so many that finding anything is like searching for a needle in a haystack.

      I need some good directories of gay porn stars / gay movies.

      I remember one directory that gave a listing of each porn star's entire career, and what role they had in each movie (top, bottom, solo, bi, etc.)

    • RE: Not only is Obamacare a disaster.. so is Medicaid.

      @raphjd:

      The UK varies by "country".

      England and Wales used to force you to pay upfront if you had any assets.  This included forcing you to sell your house, even if one spouse was still living in it.    Now they wait until both spouses die and take their 100 pounds of flesh.

      Of course, this only applies to government funded places.   Private facilities do their own thing, which almost always means paying upfront or being chucked out.

      As expected, the number of government beds is falling short of need and getting worse every day.

      Ain't socialism so much better than capitalism.

      The stereotype of English people is that they have lousy teeth - poor dentistry.  It goes beyond that.  I lived in England for 8 months, and Norway for about a month.  I have never seen so many people with massive scars, missing limbs, missing eyes / eye patches, etc.  Socialized healthcare is a disaster.  One example I often give people is that in England, you often have to wait 6 months to see a doctor.  If you have cancer, and have to wait 6 months to see a doctor, then what WAS a treatable / survivable cancer is terminal and a death sentence "gee, too bad you didn't go to a doctor 4 months eariler!"

      @aadam101:

      Mitch McConnell has decided that he loves ObamaCare just as much as all the other Republicans.  He is moving on and no further repeal efforts will occur. So much winning!

      https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/01/us/politics/senate-gop-flouts-trump-after-health-care-defeat.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=first-column-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news

      You are twisting the facts - as usual.
      It's either a republican plan, or going back to the 2008 version of healthcare where people were not required to purchase healthcare.  Frankly, there is no way that a republican plan would be better than the 2008 healthcare system.
      Obamacare is a total failure, the insurance companies are going to increase the premiums 30% next year.  People like myself do not like to be robbed, or piss money away.
      There is no end to the greed of insurance companies.
      The moonbats would prefer to see the USA fail rather than see Trump succeed.

      @mhorndisk:

      Yep, I finally decided to just file my taxes and pay the $600 fine for wishing I could have a Health Savings Account where I could just roll over my money every year like a savings account, even though I never got sick once. I'm SO happy I can pay for all those who abuse the system and just go to the doctor whenever they feel a cough and need some opioids, which 1/3 of American adults are on now, thanks to doctors also abusing the system. Fuck the ones who take care of themselves and are healthy, and take from them to give to those who take advantage like leaches clinging on for dear life while they stuff their faces full of potato chips and ice cream licks and next they hope they can get full socialism benefits making as much as the heart surgeons while they sit on their couches playing video games. Gotta love socialism. It's great for the drug companies who lobby our Congressmen and women with millions of dollars in offshore money to make sure Obamacare stays, regardless of party.

      $600?  probably a bit more.  But, don't think of it as a fine.  Obamacare itself is a fine for people who don't need healthcare, or whose healthcare has such poor coverage and high deductibles that it provides no benefit.

      Here is a 2017 calculation of the fine.
      2.5% of your household income, capped at the national average premium for a "Bronze" health plan sold through the marketplace. This percentage is based on the portion of your household income that's above the tax filing threshold ($10,350 and $20,700 for singles and married couples, respectively, for the 2016 tax year).
      $695 per adult and $347.50 per child under 18, up to a maximum of $2,085.

    • RE: DID AN AUTHOR FROM THE 1800S PREDICT THE TRUMPS, RUSSIA AND AMERICA'S DOWNFALL?

      @aadam101:

      You have to admit.  This is pretty creepy.

      There are some incredible connections to be made to the first family of the United States and Lockwood’s novels from the turn of the 19th century. For starters, the main character’s name is the same as President Donald Trump’s son, albeit spelt differently. Trump’s adventures begin in Russia, and are guided thanks to directions provided by "the master of all masters," a man named "Don."…....

      ......But by Lockwood’s third novel, The Last President, things become even more eerily linked to the present day.

      The story begins with a scene from a panicked New York City in early November, describing a "state of uproar" after the election of an enormously opposed outsider candidate.

      "The entire East Side is in a state of uproar," police officers shouted through the streets, warning city folk to stay indoors for the night. "Mobs of vast size are organizing under the lead of anarchists and socialists, and threaten to plunder and despoil the houses of the rich who have wronged and oppressed them for so many years."

      "The Fifth Avenue Hotel will be the first to feel the fury of the mob," the novel continues, citing an address in New York City where Trump Tower now stands. "Would the troops be in time to save it?"

      http://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-predicted-ingersoll-lockwood-adventures-barron-melania-last-644284

      It looks like Trump may have been inspired by those books, and perhaps picked his boy's name from it.

      I wouldn't make too much of it though.  For instance.. people in NYC are hardly oppressed.

      It is interesting, and that third book is only 68 pages long.  Too boring for me to read though.  Not once in that book do they use the word "cock" or "twink".
      There are also some Nostradamus passages that indicate that Trump would defeat Hillary.

      @mrgaga:

      "After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind."

      Just a bad movie, overall. The apes have human intelligence, but still basically live like tribesmen. Caesar and the apes allied with some humans, but they're mysteriously long gone and haven't learned a thing from them, apparently. There's a message throughout the entire film that the apes are being oppressed, Caesar is a saint, almost like Nelson Mandela or something.

      When you said "The apes have human intelligence"… I immediately thought "I can think of a lot of humans with the intelligence of an APE!"

    • Here's an idea that makes perfect sense, but would never happen

      First.. get the idea of animal shelters into your head, in which sweet, innocent, cuddly animals wind up in massive numbers because they need a place to live, but there are not enough homes to put them in.  How do they handle that?  One way is, they euthanize them like nazi death camps.

      With people, who are so desperate to leave their own countries, and start a new life in the USA… but can't be bothered doing it legally.. how about this option?  Sure, you can come into the country.. if you agree to be sterilized (equivalent of spaying and neutering).  As a matter of fact, there are precedents for that.  Throughout history.. for instance in the mideast and in the USA.. MALE slaves were often castrated to make them into "eunuchs"  (it's in the bible).  So, you have a load of MALES unable to reproduce, and at the time, they didn't really have a way to sterilize women.  So.. what happened?  People like Thomas Jefferson wound up impregnating the female slaves.

      As outrageous as this sounds.. consider that in China.. they already practice FORCED sterilization upon their OWN citizens!

      If you want to see the results of socialism..  just look at China - and not the royal palaces.. but the billion or two people living a lifetime of poverty like cockroaches... and there are a lot of countries far worse than China.

      One more thought.. I used to sell my own software over the internet.  It was a software utility in which the language didn't matter.  Over half the planet doesn't even have credit cards!  Almost none of Asia and Africa have credit cards!  Why?  mostly because they don't have any disposable income to spend!  Their existence is working to get enough food to eat and then dying.  Poof.
