Honestly show me one good thing about the FUCKING GOD DAMNED OBAMACARE BILL?! ONE DAMN GOOD THING. ONE. Just go ahead.

Do you even read the responses? I just gave at least 3 PERSONAL stories -above - about the benefits of Obamacare - even though I am not on Obamacare myself.

I just read your 3 items below.. that you posted 4 hours ago.  Sorry I didn't respond fast enough for you.

You gave some very good information, which verifies what I had in my mind.
I do have some questions and comments for you though.
      1.  Who is getting FREE healthcare if earning less than $16,000 per year?  I think only juveniles, or am I wrong?
      2.  Defining a pre-existing condition is highly subjective.
      3.  I don't think full coverage is actually full coverage… for instance.. eyes can be fixed with laser surgery now.. but I doubt very much that any insurance covers that (interestingly, for a couple of years, insurance DID cover radial keratotomy which was the micro slicing of the cornea surface like a pizza to correct vision).  I think even "full coverage" only covers thinks such as wounds, broken bones, and diseases.

But all of that is besides the point.  Obamacare sucks, the healthcare system is WAY overpriced, and government should stick to lowering and regulating healthcare costs, and let the consumer decide what insurance, if any, they would like to buy.

I can't resist adding one thing.  My father had a simple procedure last year that involved a 1 hour procedure and 2 day hospital stay.  The only cutting was a half inch incision.  The anesthesia alone was $5000 (even though the liter bag of anesthesia costs only $500 - which is also too high).  The 1 hour procedure was $28,000, and the 2 day hospital stay was another $50,000  ($50,000 for a couple of motrin, 6 meals, and a bed?  hmm... ).

      @mhorndisk:

My God that is SO horrible. How could you actually vote for her???? She's totally criminal and wrong. She literally deleted all those emails after a subpoena and then YOU VOTED FOR HER??????????????????????????????????????? Oh my God I just don't understand how anyone could do that and just say Trump Russia with no evidence. It's so stupid.

Even if one completely ignores her many other crimes, her strong support for 3rd term abortions - including partial birth abortions up until the very day of delivery, will certainly put that bitch in hell for eternity if there is a hell.  If not hell, send the bitch to New Jersey.

We're about to see just how "presidential" the wild, crazy and almighty Cheeto looks on his first foreign trip as president. I have a feeling it's not going to be pleasant since he's ticked off quite a few countries  :fight:

He gets along fine with other countries.  By the way, you seem to enjoy denigrating Trump by calling him the "almighty Cheeto".  That is as low as calling Obama the "Nigger In Charge".

A bit of history for you.  After 9/11, under the presidency of George W. Bush, pretty much the entire WORLD respected, liked, or feared us.  Under Obama.. even our closest allies such as Great Britain and Australia lost respect for us, and Obama pretty much brought back the cold war with Russia, in addition to allowing ISIS to be created and flourish throughout 35 countries in the world.

The two other major powers in the world - Russia and China - both HATED Obama and had no respect for him.

Frederick… Australia LOVED the USA until GWB - he ruined it all with his WMD etc - in fact it was Obama that made most Aussies start showing any respect to the USA.. Part of the reason our conservative party lost so hard in 2007 was because of our prime minister and his constant ass kissing of GWB

Well, perhaps Australia is ONE exception, however, as you mentioned…  your PRIME MINISTER was ass kissing GWB.

But, while I am back on this topic.. with GWB, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were very well contained.  It was just a matter of keeping the peace.  However, even though Obama promised to bring all the troops home within the first year of his presidency.. they are STILL there 8 years later, those victories have been turned into losses - because of Obama.  Obama has pissed off all the people in those countries with random drone attacks - not to mention handing Iran a perfect, undamaged sample of our most sophisticated drone.  And then there is ISIS.. whoo boy.  And what about Libya?  We were getting along fine with them, until Obama.. then all hell broke loose, and they are now an ISIS surrogate.

      @mhorndisk:

Dude OBAMACARE SUCKS ASS! I gotta pay HUNDREDS of dollars a year for that shit and I have never been to a doctor!!!

Better hope you never need to go to the ER after the danger mango rips insurance away from 20 million Americans.
If you can't afford that few hundred a year, which isn't really much, considering even the cost of a SINGLE PRESCRIPTION, Then you should be on Medicaid, either you didn't or couldn't sign up - probably thanks to a republican blocking the expansion in your state.  If you make to much to qualify, then you can afford it, stop whining.

Grow up, go see a Doctor, if you're paying anyway, get a free or cheap check up and possibly catch expensive or life-threatening issues before they can become severe. Not using something that you're paying for, even if forced to pay for it, is insane.

I'm not going to waste my time correcting your entire pile of steaming poo, however, you mentioned "a few hundred a year".  What?  Nonsense.  The bare bones cheapest policies which offer virtually no coverage start at about $800 a year.

By the way, I have only been to the ER three times in my entire life, neither time was it covered by insurance.  One time for a busted lip as a child, 2nd time for a dog bite, 3rd time for antibiotics for gastroenteritis.  All 3 of those incidents over my entire lifetime cost about $700.  I'd prefer to pay $700 out of pocket over a lifetime than a minimum of $800 a year which doesn't even take into account CO-PAYS and DEDUCTIBLES.

    • RE: Obamacare = forced insurance?

      @royalcrown89:

ACA is a step towards universal healthcare and since it is popular now, it is going to be hard to remove. The Republicans realize that now. Back to the main point, ACA aka Obamacare is a step towards universal healthcare but sadly still has the private insurance companies involved. The majority of Americans support what Bernie Sanders has been talking about, single-payer, which is what many other developed countries have. We could have had a single-payer system; however, Democrats wanted to include people like then-Senator Joe Lieberman (former faux Democrat and later faux Independent) who said he'd vote for ACA if the public option and other things that would have made ACA a bigger step towards single-payer were removed. Democrats removed key provisions and Lieberman along with then-Senator Olympia Snowe (R-ME) still voted against the bill when it came up for final votes. In short, we would be even closer to single-payer had Democrats just come together and voted for single-payer without any Republican or faux Independent output input. Given the opportunity, Democrats will get us a lot closer to single-payer next time around.

      Way to dodge a question.
The USA pays far more for healthcare than any other country in the world, yet the standard of healthcare is terrible.
As for Bernie's ideas.. too bad that Hillary blatantly stole the nomination from him.
Countries with universal healthcare typically have bare bones, substandard healthcare with LONG waits to see a doctor, expedient / cheap solutions to problems such as amputating limbs rather than repairing them, and nasty scars because making things look nice is an expensive luxury.

The way to lower healthcare costs is COMPETITION.  Whenever insurance is involved, competition goes out the window.  For instance.. when it comes to frames for glasses, if someone is paying out of pocket they are charged one price, but if they are paying with insurance, they are pushed into - and eagerly accept - the most expensive frames known to mankind that are virtually identical to the cheap frames.

Not reading what you're saying, the title is like, DUH, but thanks for getting there.

It is DUH for you.. but not for the libtards who can't understand even the simplest concepts.
The media are playing this as if Trump is denying free healthcare coverage from 25 million people.  Those people were not getting free healthcare coverage to begin with.  What Trump is doing is not FORCING people to pay for coverage that they don't want.

People also get the idea that when their employer is paying the healthcare premiums.. that they are getting it for free.  Uh.. no.  Instead of having more money going into one's paycheck, that money is being taken before the employee ever sees it, and being sent off to the government.   Which by the way.. is a concept in communism.

What the libtards are doing is trying to convict and sentence Trump for crimes.. that he has not even been CHARGED with!  How ridiculous is that?  It is libelous, seditious, defamatory, and slanderous.

I understand Mhorndisk perfectly.  I'm not surprised that you don't understand him, because you have a thick skull with a dehydrated pea for a brain.  It pains me to respond this way without advancing the topic, but I can't think of a meaningful way to respond to your inane, vacuous attacks upon rational thought.
The best I can do is point out that nobody, including Comey, has determined that Trump did anything inappropriate or illegal.  Every day there is the clamor of libtards calling for investigations, special prosecutors, and impeachment hearings.. for WHAT?  Some anonymous sources or extremely biased clowns suspicions and opinions?  We don't impeach people because someone doesn't like them.

    • Obamacare = forced insurance?

Some things puzzle me about Obamacare.
Obamacare is not free healthcare, you and/or your employer have to pay for it.
Let's just pretend that Obamacare completely vanished overnight….
What is to stop people from buying their OWN health insurance?
Seems to me that people could buy better insurance on their own than the crap they are forced to buy that covers very little.

This is one topic that I lack an understanding of, because I've never had a health issue that would be covered by Obamacare.
I've always been puzzled why insurance doesn't cover or barely covers anything to do with dental, vision, or hearing.

Why should I pay for someone's shitty health because they smoked, abused alcohol, did drugs, ate the wrong foods, etc.?

My understanding is that people who would have healthcare insurance whether or not Obamacare existed, want everybody else to have Obamacare to subsidize THEIR insurance and lower their costs.

    • Not so republican… Kasich & McCain

There are a handful of republicans who are worse than democrats, in that they fill the spot in Congress or Governor that a REAL republican could occupy, when they are really not republicans at all.
Perhaps the best example of this is John "Hanoi Jane" Kasich.  Kasich's hatred for Trump is palpable.  The reason is that Kasich had some fantasy that he could have been president.. when in fact, he got almost no support at all, despite never getting out of the race.  At least people like Jeb Bush knew when to get out.

Then there is John "Looney Tunes" McCain, who is a loose cannon now.. as he always was.  For those who don't know, in 1967 McCain crashed 5 jets, plus was responsible for the aircraft carrier Forrestal fire. Something made the plane behind McCain fire a rocket, which hit McCain's external center fuel tank, and caused a fire. McCain panicked, and dropped two bombs into the fire.
Surviving crewmen of the USS Forestal and those who investigated the Forrestal fire case reported that McCain deliberately 'wet-started' his A-4E Skyhawk to shake up the guy in the F-4 Phantom behind his plane.
'Wet-starts', done either deliberately (the starter motor switch allowed kerosene to pool in the engine and give a wet start) or accidentally, shoot a large flame from the tail of the aircraft.'Wet starting' was a common practice among young 'hot-dog' pilots.
In McCain's case, the 'wet-start''cooked off' and launched the M34 Zuni rocket from the rear F-4 that punctured the Skyhawk's fueltank, knocked the M-65 1000 lb bomb off it's 500 lb rated mount, and touched off the explosions and massive fire.

When the carrier Oriskany came along side, and McCain was put in a chopper and whisked away. McCain was the only Forrestal crewman to be immediately transferred .I have a hunch McCain left for his own safety, because the crew wanted blood.

Yeah. It isn't believable that anyone cares about any of this when Trump compromised the identity of American operatives in the Middle East when he divulged information of the highest classification level to the Russians in an effort to brag to them. Try again.

It was a witchhunt?  Hmm.. a witchhunt that thus far has failed to rid ourselves of that witch!
Hillary was ORDERED by Congress to turn over 30,000 emails that were the property of the U.S. Government which she had illegally had on her own private server in an insecure location (her house).   Instead, she went to a private tech company, with no security clearance, and had them access and DELETE those messages AFTER she was ordered to produce them!   She should have been put in JAIL then.. and should still be put in jail.   You are comparing MOUNTAINS to molehills.

No YOU are the one making a mountain out of this proven molehill of an email conspiracy. Again you are wrong wrong wrong. And the fact that she's NOT in jail is all the proof needed that it was a witch hunt! After all the months of crying "Lock her up!" And his campaign promise to indict and convict Hillary- Trump has (again) failed to live up to this campaign promise. Why? Because in the end the evidence needed to PROVE that she was guilty DOESN'T EXIST. She was exonerated and cleared by all the investigative commissions the Republicans could throw at her.

Knowing he will never have the proof he needs, Trump just let her go. Again, lying to all his supporters. Just like his claims of the nonexistent wiretap. Empty lies with nothing to back them up.  ::)

You are out of your mind in denial.

Happily, Hillary Clinton is not in power and will likely never get close to the presidency again.

Unhappily, we have an incompetent, mentally impaired rapist in the White House who is jeopardizing the safety of the country and our allies.

Mentally impaired rapist?  That is being a bit harsh on Bill Clinton.  Well, OK, Bill DID stick his cock in Monica Lewinsky's mouth, and got cum all over her dress, at a desk in the Oval Office… and also stuck a cigar up Monica's vagina..  and lied about it to his wife and to the American people and Congress (which is a felony).  But that is the only time Bill got NAILED.. he's done similar things hundreds if not thousands of times.

      @Loki100:

If there is one thing we know now it is that the year and a half Clinton email saga was a completely political witchhunt and a non-scandal pursued strictly to achieve partisan ends. Trump began mishandling classified information the moment he began to get it, and now outing American operatives hostile foreign powers. Which is something so far beyond anything Clinton was even accused of doing that it beggars description.

Anyone who even raised an eyebrow towards Clinton's handling of the arcane rules of IT management in the government should be screaming for Trump's impeachment.

It was quite courageous for Trump to send Comey packing.  Too bad nobody had the guys to fire that psycho J Edgar Hoover who was FBI director for 48 years.
When President Donald Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, he ended the shortest tenure for a recent FBI director. No FBI director since J. Edgar Hoover served less than four years until Comey’s tenure ended far short of his 10-year term. He was also just the second FBI Director ever fired by a president.

    • Comey is screwed…

Comey’s memo is being treated as a “smoking gun” only because the media and Democrats, likely prompted by Comey himself, are now peddling it that way.
Comey will soon testify before Congress about this and other matters.  His memo will likely be produced pursuant to a subpoena.  The words and the context will matter.
But by writing a memo, Comey has put himself in a box.
If he accuses Trump of obstruction, he places himself in legal jeopardy for failing to promptly and properly report it as is required by law.
If he says it was merely an uncomfortable conversation, he clears the president of wrongdoing and sullies his own image as a guy who attempted to smear the man who fired him.

Either way, James Comey comes out a loser.  No matter.  The libtards will hail him a hero.
After all, he gave them a good story that was better than the truth.
